I have a 322d. That belt sucks to put on regardless of how you do it. That left rear tensioner does not allow enough tension to put it on so I did it the same way you ended up doing it. I ain’t seen a mower that has a tool-less design to change a deck or hydro belt. Nice video sir. I need to do a hydro fluid change on mine now lol 👍👍👍
That is one video we haven't done yet. We have about another 500 hours before that needs to be done. I have a great dealer and usually every other year I take both the 721D2 and the 321D mowers into the dealer and they go through both machines. I had them go on and change the hydraulic oil on both 2 years ago. Thanks for the comment and have a great week!
The trick is to put mule belt on the front, top and bottom left pulleys first. Then reach far back to grab the belt and pull hard till the bottom left pulley goes all the way up. Then you have just enough room to slip it on the bottom right.

There must be something out of adjustment I have an old Exmark with a mule belt still looks new after 3 seasons.
