I also show a few things to look for and how to look up the correct belt and other parts for these mowers.

Hands down the best video on how to replace a deck belt on a John Deer. You know when a man makes up his own tools to get the job done he knows exactly what he's doing shout out to the rope-ratchet! 😊
Great video! Also appreciate the reference on how to look up individual parts for my ztrak

Good deal. I had a loyal customer and subscriber come in to the shop this moring with deck belt issues. His deck tensioner spring was hooked into the 1/2" square hole. I said " You're clearly are not watching my videos" 🤣
Thanks for the video, I was trying make it way more difficult than it should’ve been. Easy peasy
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching
Very helpful video, great tip on pulling the tensioner spring. Thank you!
Great Video, even on handed filming, narating and turning wrenches. Thanks for posting
Glad you enjoyed it
Another very helpful video keep up the great content 👍🏾
Breaker bar works for the spring, use the 1/2" square hole in the tension arm.
Great video thanks for sharing

Big help. Thanks
OMG IT WORKS BUT I NEED A HAMER TO BREAK MY WALL
good vid; is the 720 e 48 inch deck belt replacement the same process? thanks
I just bought a z325e John deer delivered it, it started when they unloaded it they left I go to start it the battery dead, two times this happened they had to bring two different batteries, I go to start it this morning an dead battery they ether have a batch of bad batteries or something is bringing the batteries down, so aggravated, another thing way does John Deer zero turn mowers take so long to start, you just don’t turn the key an it starts
There is a 1/2" square hole in the tensioner arm for a 1/2' ratchet or breaker bar to release spring tension
True. You can use a ratchet, stretch the spring to loosen the belt off an idler. Then the spring has less tension as you let it hit the stud on the deck but it still has tension resting against the stud. I find my method far faster and eaiser.
I followed exactly but the pulley with the bit you took out is quite a bit further under the seat almost. Belt shows to be the correct part number, picked it up from Deere dealer this morning. Any ideas?
You are referring to the the tensioner arm and its pulley. It will be further back with a new belt vs an older stretched out belt.
The belt guide has a square part like a carriage bolt
Its rounded on two sides and straight on two sides. Not exaclty like a carriage bolt. Which makes it easy to let it come in contact with the pulley
@@Mechanical_Mind thanks for the info on this matter young man 👍😎
