I had XC90 B6 mild hybrid for a week and it was very pleasing companion for a long motorway rides. Simple yet beautiful interior, puffy air suspension, the car felt surprisingly lightweight, very quiet cabin and excellent seats! Only thing what I was missing, some V6 diesel under the bonnet. Would be perfect for long journeys. 2L engine is okay, just doesn't fit the car and for a "downsizing trend" it's very thirsty. On a motorway around 26mpg with 4 passengers (31mpg in a lorry lane). 3L V6 in a Range Rover can do easily 37mpg. Other than this, the car was fantastic. I wish it would have a better engines.
It looks amazing. A couple years ago I had XC60 for a week when I drove to Cornwall. I guess the sound was from B&W too. It's fantastic! I like your style Tish and you look great. Brilling review.

Great thanks! I have been exploring many SUVs in the lower segment ie, XC 60/40, Kodiaq, Tiguan and none of them has this option. Actually until now, I didn’t know such an option existed. Ciao!
Lol😂😂😂 my brother had one of those and the charging station melted his garage door and caught fire! Bad idea. No more electric BS for him. I always drive a big ass trucks. Im a farmer. They take Diesel fuel . My Sunday got to church car is a navigator! My daughter needs a Volvo , she has a baby
I had the previous model year with the same drivetrain and I got 70mpg on average over 12 months. This is daily round trips under 40 miles on electric only and two 1000 mile drives without recharging. Plus a sprinkling of 100 mile hybrid journeys. Also worth knowing that it’s much colder where I live, I’d expect it to perform better in the UK.
The hybrid & plug-in-hybrid versons are waay better than pure electric. And a Volvo is a Volvo. So, extra safety for the entire family. A PHEV version with the small engine, though ... with a price under 50 k ... would be a booster for the sales. Also, as a dealer of such cars with PHEV systems ... a solution for charging the batteries overnight in the parking lot of the block - with the help of a professional electric company ... with no extra cost for the customer ... might increase the sales of those models.
Notice how long her eyes were off the road whilst she was poking buttons on the screen, trying to change drive modes! - - -The interior makes you feel cocooned - in other words, cramped up! I can't see how you can supercharge an electric motor. A supercharger is an air compressor before the carby, without the lag of a turbo - thus injecting more fuel AND air into the cylinders - which an electric motor doesn't have!
I have to disagree! I also have a new Google tech Volvo and find it great as it has inbuilt Spotify, Waze, Audible + many more apps so I've never even had to use Apple Carplay (if you use Apple Music that would be a pain as it does not have that built in).
The sound of the B&W audio system is from another world.
Nice car. Volvo Colchester are very good and I would highly recommend. Getting my car tomorrow.
great video Tish

My lovely ride of all time.
Had not considered the Volvo XC90 but your excellent review of the plug in hybrid has made me book a test drive.
Great video. But what is the mpg you achieved.

happy new year🎉good to see you back Tish❤
Happy new year!! Thank you for coming back!
One question, how do you electrically deploy the seats?isnt the 3 rd row fully manual
When I drove the EX90 recently, the 3rd row can be electrically folded. I assumed you’d be able to upgrade this car to do the same but maybe not?
happy new year Tish and thanks for a great video ! XC 90 is a nice car but would like to see the XC60 plug in
Looks great and the interior is lovely but its a bit pricy. Happy New Year Tish.x
how was the cabin noise and ride quality?
Excellent car review Tish 👍 such a smart outfit 👌 you have excellent style ❤ hope you have a wonderful day 🫶
Thank you so much 🤗 Happy new year and see you in the next one!
you get a harman/kardon not a bang&olufsen sound system as standard.
There is nowadays no supercharger on Volvos chargeable vehicles. Only on the B6 engine.

Thanks for the video Tish! Do you (or anyone else) know what’s the purpose of that booster seat - is it just a raised seat?

HNY Not for me but this is such a good car. It somehow manages to be massive without being aggressive or imperious. A triumph of design
Nice video x
Glad you enjoyed!
@AutoSocialUK you know me tish, always do x
I offset my carbon footprint by living next door to 2 idiots with electric vehicles!. 😉

good car
Geely Volvo make great cars 😅
Great spec car like the internal colour etc ,just not a fan of the external colour or look😮
Hi tish happy new year.. what sort of mpg did you get during you time with the car
Hi Nick, I was actually running in electric ALOT of the time, so seeing over 100mog but I imagine it drops right down beyond the 30's when depleted

@jacktyler5241 thanks jack thats really good to know...i do 30 miles each way for work with possibility of also charging here too
Stylish car
Do you like the light interior?

Nice car, beautiful interior as ever from Volvo but the price still too high for many.
Very true point although I guess this is the very biggest product.
Must be a reliable car if you see emergency services using them
5.4 seconds. Should have bought a Jag F-Pace P400E 😂

Why I cant see the back of the car and you call this car review?
@@Dinche562 5.11 to see the back. Or you could Google it? There isn’t really much to comment on
Looks like a fancy tractor
All this talk about turbos and superchargers all Volvos are restricted to 112mph, so it's all pretty pointless.
🤣 Supercharged electric motor 🤣
I can't stand the Google infestation on modern Volvo's. Honestly, its rubbish (XC-60 22' owner)
