    When my daughter was an infant until I ran out of room, I documented her special moments in her baby book. She is 35 and has her book now. She wanted it for her memories from when she was young. I think I journaled in the empty spaces until she was about five. Now I am an empty nester so I just journal for me. Thank you for this video. Enjoy!

    I sure like the cork cover on your own journal. Some of the cork covers are visually busier than I like, but that one is a great design!

    I actually use a five year journal for each of my kids. Lately I seem to have to catch up a lot but my two are young and I feel things change so fast. When I run out of these in a few years I may switch to journaling as desired rather than more five year books.

      It does seem like its going so fast... I just couldn't keep it up daily. I am proud of you for sticking with it. great job!

    Love how you cover your books. I'm interested in the cork covers. Are all the insides the same on all sizes ?
    I'm sure your kids will enjoy what you are doing for them and maybe they will continue to do it for themselves when older !!

      They are all the same. Just a pocket for your notebook to slide in.

    I use the 5 year to document all our lives (family with 2 little boys)... I initially planned to use an A5 hobonichi 5year for myself and then 2 a6’s but it was waaaay too hard! So, my 5 year will be for them and will be a reflection of our everyday lives...sometimes more about me, and always from my perspective but I think this will be just as valuable to them to revisit when they are older. Thanks for the great video! Can you tell me which tale you used?

    All the patterns of your paper collages are so beautiful! So wonderful to keep journals for your children! What a beautiful heritage for them! May I ask also about the flower cork design, will it be available on the 6th of November? Also, the cover of your journal is to die for! With the double pen loop and the kind of hobonichi style inside pockets! I love it! Would you consider manufacture one for sale?... with the flower design cork maybe!!!? ;)

    • @DocumentedJourney
      @DocumentedJourney  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the flower design will be available. It’s called bloom. And my cover was a prototype for a possible cover in the shop. I still need to practice. Those inside pockets are hard.

      @@DocumentedJourney Of course, it must be a lot of hard work! If you ever decide that it' s worth ...the "pain" and the time, consider me as a certain and avid buyer! :D

    I like the paper magazine that you chose. Very pretty, and I was excited for the journal’s owners. But then they all got put back into the plastic covers, which hide away all the work that was done. What’s the point of doing that to eventually put them back inside the plastic covers? Did I miss something?

    • @DocumentedJourney
      @DocumentedJourney  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are a cover to protect it. Eventually they will come out and be

      @@DocumentedJourney ah, I get it, this is a long term journal meant to be given many many years later. So the plastic sleeves are meant to reserve the actual covers until the time comes. How dedicated!
