Great review, I was actually looking for this watch, but then I saw the citizen promaster land 35th anniversary edition, the one with the MIP display and I bought that one. The only thing missing is the radio controlled time adjusting. The digital display is offering a little more functionality. There is no rotating bezel and it feels more robust.
Yes, atomic timekeeping is a nice feature, but is available in a few regions. I would prefer the satellite wave sync found on my citizen attesa. But the promaster land is a great everyday watch, very accurate.
Amazing review. The UTC dial at the 6 o'clock position is new but somehow strange. It's not a piece of horology art rather a tool of japanese precision.
Yep the instructions are available online. I only borrow these from Citizen so they go back after a few days. I don’t get to keep them for future content. I set this one using this method Set Atomic Watch with No Reception th-cam.com/video/91HNC6SK81g/w-d-xo.html
Citizen continues to be great at making tool watches. Too big for me, but for a larger wrist they’re cool. Their analog-digital Skyhawk type watches have always been very popular in squadrons. In the topic of slide rule bezels, gotta say they’re useless for military aviators. Maybe useful for private pilots who may not have decent avionics, not sure. I know in flight school we learned to do all that time/distance/fuel math in our heads quickly without having to fiddle with a watch bezel under G.
I got the silver one last week. Very cool watch. The Northern Hemisphere map on the bottom at the 6 o'clock works, its just hard to read cause the numbers are so small. The dial rotates as the day goes along.
I have a citizen red arrows Skyhawk with same a lot easier to use but my best citizen watch for travel around the world is my world satellite vision which picks up the signal very quickly to change the time zone anywhere on the planet the only problem being you have to adjust for daylight saving time manually but I have only used it once abroad once last September on holiday at Jamaica but when we went back last month the time when the hurricane hit the island I took one of my Casio g shocks because it like seeing both my home and away time zones on the dial to together it also has atomic clock time keeping but it doesn’t pick up in Jamaica only one one of my Casio will do it but my wife will only let my take two watches will me so my other watch is always a dive watch
As a pilot in USA, i love UTC on this because we are always switching up daylight savings
It definitely looks cool.
Absolutely cool! Thanks for the review!

The Promaster Land looked like a tactical watch and I was attracted to it, yet the factor that it has no atomic timekeeping made me avoid buying it.

I'm looking to get this watch.
Just bought it. It looks fantastic. The finish on the face is beautiful I got a complement on it walking out of the store.
@@nateworthy530I just pulled the trigger and brought this watch. Got a good deal from Zales. Waiting on delivery in a couple of days.

Have a similar Citizen, you're going to have a stroke setting it up.
If the watch is radio controlled. It will set itself up over night.
I'd buy it if I didn't already have a flight master. I dig the flat earth map too.
I paid $581
Do you like it i have orderes it, but i could onoy get that green version.
