A Presa is basically a multi-purpose dog: Guard-dog, Hunting-dog, Shepherd, even a fighting dog. From my personal experience with the Presa (I used to own one before it died of old age) I can tell you it was extremely loyal and noble, hell I could even sleep for hours using the dog as a pillow lol and he'd just sleep as well. They have an impressive stamina for their size, impressive strength, the guy from the video is dead on when he says this breed could take down a full ass grown sized man like he is nothing. Their pain tolerance is insane which is good in case you hit your dog with something by accident since they are unfazed by it then there is no risk of being bitten as a natural response from the dog (can't tell you how many times people get bitten by their dogs because they hit them with something by accident). Word of advice though: Be sure that at least one of the owners is around when other people are near the dog, mine was fine as long as one of us was around and if other people came around he even would let them touch him and pat him, BUT the motherfucker would get ready for business if an owner was not near enough which is fine since you don't want to own this breed so it can become fast friends with the first stranger that comes across. Also if you are with friends make sure to remind them not to make gestures which may incite the dog to attack them, so any sort of playfulness which can give the dog the impression your friend is out to get you may end very badly. Also, regardless of what idealistic people say about dogs, this particular breed has a natural tendency to be aggressive toward other dogs, even the same breed, so if you are gonna take a Presa out for a walk make sure you are able to control it, you also need to be very aware of your surroundings to minimise the risk of unwanted outcomes, remember this dog wasn't bred to become fast friends with everybody. There is one thing which I noticed in my particular case and I hope is a rare occurrence with the breed, but it should be said: I did state that as long as an owner was around, they pretty much love to be approached by other people, BUT my dog had this weird tendency to change his body language to "attack-ready"whenever he saw little kids crawling, I never understood why he did this and even a few veterinarians were baffled by this, so this is why I alway tried to keep him away from little kids, not because he didn't like little kids, but because for some bizarre reason he would get jumpy is he saw them crawling. So you also have to be able to read this breed very well to minimise the risk of accidents for yourself, your dog, other dogs and other people. You don't have to be a macho to own one, but you do have to be very aware of your environment, very aware of your dog's body language and have confidence in yourself... again, this dog was not bred to make fast friends. As for his ability to protect you and your loved ones from attacks, rest assured this dog is one tough and scary motherfucker. There aren't many breeds which can stand a chance at actually beating a Presa one on one, most dogs (even if they are the ones who start to get aggressive) will cower in fear before it even gets physical. As for an actual fight (let's hope it never comes to it) and I can tell you from experience that Presas could even take on two Rottweilers at the same time and come up on top with minimal to no damage... and no I didn't pit my Presa in fights, I actually had assholes who thought it very clever to release their dogs on my dog and I wasn't putting up with that kind of shit... thankfully there weren't many of those assholes, but it can happen, hell once an asshole who owned a Pitbull saw my dog from a distance (only his back legs from asshole was standing were visible) and thought it clever to approach to encourage his dog to attack mine, thankfully as soon as he saw my Presa he shitted his pants and turned tail, which prevented both dogs from being hurt unnecessarily. When it comes to humans, mine never had to actually take someone down (thank fuck), but whenever a stranger came into the house, he would STALK them, didn't make a sound, not even a bark, not even a whimper, not a single growl... my guess is that if it ever came down to it, he would never have alerted an intruder to his presence, they would only notice him once he had his jaw on their necks. In the streets I came across assholes without dogs, but who thought themselves either too clever or felt like super man and would taunt my dog by making moves which gave my Presa the impression that they would attack me, my Presa DID NOT like that kind of shit one bit, he would just get between me and the assholes, assume an attack-ready position and thankfully these assholes would shit their pants and cease their foolery. All in all is a lovely breed suited pretty much for every purpose, just remember that this breed can be a pet, but it NOT a toy, always give it its due respect and keep your distance when you see signs that your dog needs it. Also this breed needs large spaces to stretch its legs, so if your home does not have this space, then make sure to take them for a walk often and even if you have a big space for them at home, make sure to take them for a walk from time to time, they quite enjoy it.
Jon Targaryen I believe the baby or child crawling alerted the dogs' instincts as to a puppy or prey. I gave you a "like." You were very informative. Thank you
MASSIVE COMMENT ABOUT A PRESA I was walking through a field once with my 5 month old German shepherd (girl) And out of the bushes runs a giant, dark presa canario with no collar. He charged right at me, and proceeded to chase my terrified German shepherd round me in circles and having his way with her. He's so big, he's just nudging her with his face and knocking her to the ground. POWERFUL dog. So I'm trying to get us away but also trying to stop this fucking thing from possibly impregnating my dog. Im a big guy, but physically couldn't do a god damn thing about it. I'm sure at this point my dogs probably going to get seriously hurt and I'm probably going to have to fight this thing off as well. So around 12 minutes after it first charges at us and me shouting for anyone to help. (In in the middle of nowhere) It just stops... Lays on the floor and starts being the most incredibly friendly dog I have ever met. He was just horny.
🤣🤣🤣. I hollered at this! But yes, Presas are amazing dogs! We recently started breeding them and couldn’t be happier with them. Their temperaments are naturally fantastic but as with all dogs, the way they are raised and socialized is vital!
El Perro Presa Canario is an amazing Family fur member. They are great with Children as well , very protective of them and there owners. They are most loyal but can be very territorial. They are very active Pets with great stamina. They need there walks and exercise every day to stimulate there mind to not act out through curious intentions to do something your not going to like! It is very important to stimulate there mind. They require a special diet to not over feed them to make them get bigger in which they will not. Let them be at there ideal weight as it is important for there health. This Dogs are a great pet to have as long as the owner is a well responsible individual. Thank you for reading my post. Thank you Bully Bad Ass Tv for all your input. Until then. Love your Pets. Peace.
yes, he's right, we have a Presa, she was a rescue dog from a puppy mill. What a sweetheart, yes territorial, but she greets everyone with tail wagging and gives them the sniff test. As long as we are happy with the visitors so is she, but she can sense when we are uncomfortable and never takes her eyes off them. Good with kids and other dogs she has met.
If you have one of these breeds, suggestion: don't have any trouble with cops. The sick bastards have been known to go into the owners yard and shoot these dogs. Warrants? We don't need no stinking warrants. All it takes is for some neighbor who's an enemy to call in a complaint against the dog. The cops get away with this lawless behavior since these type of dogs have such a bad public reputation. Pits are easy prey for them - even lovable family companions. The public ignorance and prejudice against some breeds is frightening - lynch mob mentality.
I have owned persa canarios, American bulldogs, dogos and more. I love the breed. They were by far the best guard dogs I have owned. They are amazingly agile for their size. my 130 pound female use to out run my 70 pound female American bulldog. Her size fooled anyone who thought she was slow. But they were also dog aggressive especially my male. Also their pups when they had some. Great breed!
We have one that belongs to my son. He weights 165 lbs. My son brought him to our office when we was 8 weeks. He meets over 10 new people every day. He plays with other dogs and is not aggressive. He seems not to like some people specially if they act suspiciously. Three times a day I take him for a walk. I weigh 155 lbs. King is 2 1/2 years, weights 165 lbs. and is definitely stronger than me. He has knock me off my feet. One time he sprained my back. I was in pain for a week. Every day we get into a war. He wants to walk me. He is very intelligent and seems to know just how far he can push. At times I let him have his way. This gets me in trouble with my son. My son demands complete control. People are either afraid of him or fascinated. He look like a tiger. One time I was walking him. A black Mercedes stops. The back window opens and a nine year old girl jump out the back window runs to King and started hugging and petting him. He gets on his back with his legs up. Her father and mother roll down the front window and informed me they are from the Canary Islands and have a few Presas on their farm. King is a family member.
that's great that he meets so many people. I always thought I'd be unable to socialise one due to not being a social person, but now I have 4 nurses visit me each day, not the same 4 though it varies day to day, so I figured this was a perfect time to get a presa pup cuz it would be learning from day 1 that people coming into our home is a positive experience and those people are not a threat :)
This is a beautiful Presa Canario! I love your knowledgeable video! My son and I were very fortunate to have acquired a rescue that was going to be put down at the vet where he came from, because he looked scary to any would be adopters! My daughters friend actually adopted Elvis to save it him from being put down! Then my daughters friend had to move and could not take Elvis with him, and my son and my took Elvis in to be our own! I wish we knew more about his history? I have a feeling that he may have come from a not so good situation because the molars on one side of his mouth were completely broken half off and it looked as though he had some scarring around his neck and forehead? I am here to say, that this is one of the best dogs I’ve ever owned, other than being stubborn, he was a gentle giant at 92 pounds! He loved all people and children! He did well other dogs, unless more than one dog started to play? He would get upset? Being that we did not know how old he was or what ever he experienced in his past, he would get very upset if people were play fighting, or if more than one dog started to play, that is when he would become upset! I believe this behavior was because he must’ve experienced something and his past that he did not like it when other dogs or people would play fight!? He wanted to be everybody’s friend and was wonderful with children! I really miss my Elvis! As he got older, I could tell that he was either developing arthritis and was beginning to slow down with his gate!? I noticed his hind end becoming weaker! Sadly I unexpectedly lost my son at age 39 who lived with me and took care of Elvis when I had to go out of town because I’m a flight attendant! I was looking for a dog sitter for Elvis for when I had to leave town. A family that I was interviewing to take care of Elvis, had four of their own dogs. Elvis got along with their dogs beautifully, except they had a Corgi, who kept jumping on Elvis and knocking him over. Elvis was having a hard time getting back up to a standing position! The next day he unfortunately, lost the use of his hind legs. I worked with him for one week hoping that he would regain the use of his legs, but he could only walk one or 2 feet and then fall over!😢 I sadly had to make the heart wrenching decision to put him to sleep!😢 I was trying to add a couple of photographs of my Elvis, but I can’t figure out how to do it?
I have a 1.5 yr old preas male and he is utterly amazing! He's 28 inches at withers and 125lbs. He's an incredibly obedient dog. I could leave a stake on the coffee table and leave for work, come home and it would still be there. One thing I kinda find odd but enjoy is his love for people. He adores anyone that comes over. When he sees a car pull in the driveway he starts barking but when they get out and make their way to the front door he starts wagging his tail. Yes hes full presa lol. I guess the only answer I can come up with as to why he trust and loves everyone is because of all the interactions he's had with lots of different people.
Presa C's and Rotties both incredible dogs. I have both. They are so calm and so dominant that things that disturb most breeds do not cause even an acknowledgement from them. However, in matters of defense of the family, the children, and the property....look out! My god they can be intimidating. As you say, not a first dog or a dog for someone who does not want to pay attention to them. Ours are exercised daily and given lots of tasks to keep their brains active. They can be almost goofy in their playfulness....they love toys. We've gone through dozens of tennis balls because they are so powerful that when they fetch the ball, they often bite it in two. Can be great fun trying to wrestle a tennis ball or anything else out of their mouths. Again, fantastic dogs for an experienced owner!
My Presa has saved me from both a crazy homeless guy and a junkie that tried to rush up on us while we were walking. I agree they're the absolute best protectors you could ask for if you're able to handle a large, dominant dog.
Great story! As an aside, I live in the country and have been watching dogs chase squirrels for decades. Never did I think they would actually catch them. News flash! Rotties and Presas can catch squirrels! We've had to start chastising them for chasing the squirrels because they were playing with them like a cat plays with a mouse before swallowing them, and it was horrible to watch. Not sure why Rotties and Presas can do this where even speedsters like Border Collies can't, but it's happening. I have a theory that their jaw speed is off the charts....my pups will snatch a fly out of the air as it speeds by, or grab a sandwich off the counter literally in the blink of an eye...much faster than the so-called "faster" breeds (my Rottie stole a sandwich out of my hand last week.....yes I gave him heck, although it was pretty funny).
+VegasGirl35 lol....sooooo if you weren't walking the presa?? You never would've been at risk of being a victim?? Gun. Easier, goes anywhere and doesn't leave human size piles of shit
DaveKtver Our boxer's favorite sport was chasing squirrels. He'd lay low and wait unto one was between two trees, then off he'd go. Most of the time is was game over for the squirrel. The boxer is another fantastic German dog, but they need a lot of attention and exercise or they will do stuff like destroy the inside of your car.
John Techwriter I love Boxers! And yes, that is also the technique our dogs use to nab squirrels, almost cat-like. Although the Rottie cross can also climb trees and has shocked at least one squirrel by following him up the branches. I'm trying to discourage it as a 110 pound Rottie puppy on a bouncy branch 15 feet up will give its owner a coronary.
I once saw a man walking down the street with his dog. The dog was huge with a large head, looked like he ate cars for lunch. They walked side by side, no leash, step for step. I knew without a doubt that dog would kill anybody that tried to attack his man. I also knew this dog was in sync with the man. I was in awe and have wondered what kinda dog it was...I think I just found out.
100% accurate description oh the Presa. I have a 140lb 1 year old male. Never had a problem with my dog being aggressive towards humans, specially not children. I 100% percent recommend a Presa. I also have an American Bully
+The Shoe Shine Apprentice By anyone, I mean not everyone should own one. I realize the way I said it sounds like I don't think anyone should have a presa.
They are both beautiful :) I have a presa she is 9 months old ,and I could not be happier, she is a try friend :) . I had a dogs before, but she is the frst dog thet I train on my on ,I am trying my best to teach her to be the best as it can be ,we work every day and we understand each other more and more.I just love her so much! Sorry for my english i am from Serbia. Tnx for this video :)
+Joshua Brewer yes but if you are breeding with a purpose then that name becomes more than just a funky name it has value behind because your dogs then serve a purpose not just producing a dog to sell it because then nobody will remember you or your dogs years from now.
+Alex Maxie If everyone named their line the purpose for their breeding everyone's line would be called "temperament" or "agility" so on and so on. Your name has nothing to with your purpose for the breeding. The dogs that come out of my kennel are part of my delerium line, not because they are crazy but because I'm a med student and I wanted to name them after something I like. Breed standards are constantly changing, unless you're first on the scene no one will remember your dogs anyway
+Joshua Brewer the only dogs that have this problem are american bullies every other breed has set standards and their standards never change. The problem is so many people are hanging papers here in america.
I've watched literally all of your videos at least twice. You're doing dog videos right. No "professionals" sitting in a studio..real owners in the real world with real experience. For a while I thought the fila would be my dream dog, but after these presa videos I'm sold. Keep up the incredible work man, even in rural Mississippi you have big fans. I'll take this opportunity to ask for a Pharoah Hound video?? Thanks again
they are very protective on their owners, our one is 6 months old and weighs 38.3 kg and is a beautiful dog who barks at anyone if they try come at us the wrong way
i had one of these from 10 weeks old to 12 years a beautiful family dog outstanding gaurd dog travelled through europe with me i felt 100% safe still missing him Augusto p.s brought him in spain from a responsible breeder
How the hell do you walk them?? Do you and your wife hold 3 each or something???! That’s like 200kg EACH. My 45kg cane corso is a challenge to walk on her own!! God knows how you manage with that much weight
My presa looks good.. He's healthy not overweight. I feed him a raw diet a few times a week. Agile. Loves to run and jump very high. Loves to swim. And NEVER EVER leave your beautiful coconut oil freshly prepared bubble bath unattended. He will jump in. He loves baths. Territorial. Must be supervised with other dogs. He has alpha male issues. I used to own rotti's. But my most beloved rotti died of old age. He shut it down for me. I couldn't get another rotti. Emotionally I could move on. But then I saw a beautiful tan presa at a park. Been hooked every since. Great breed. Although they are very serious about their jobs. These dogs has a sense of humor. They are funny with their ppl. The younger presa loves playing with children. Playing catch. Mines in particular likes to play frisbee. Down side. Stubborn. Destructive if not properly attended. And when they decide they don't like a particular person or animal its a done deal.. Leave it alone.
We love ours..He is the most loving guy ever, but he is very protective of his family..my wife keeps him with her and I am more than comfortable when he's with her that she's okay.
These tv "documentaries" coming out of America about Presas are a joke!!! This guy has no idea about the Presa. The only thing he said that I agree with is that they are not ideal for first time dog owners.
These and boerboels to me are the best bread .. best working dogs in the world ... Temperament is perfect ... Strength unmatched .. massive bite forces in excess of 500psi .. will throw your bully or pitbull around like it's a toy .. beautiful dogs 👍
you see the problem i see with his dogs is they are breeding for size and if u look at his dogs the heads and legs are proportionatly small for their bodies, they seem pudgey and no real tone, this happens with everybreed when you only breed for size!!!
Beautiful Dogs well done 👍 I have a 9 month male brindle Presa canario and a 4 year old female pit bull. I would agree with everything I heard in this video Defiantly not a first time dog and extremely protective of the home which we also have kids and a cat. He loves the cat. I have had the opportunity to foster and home many different dogs from chows to retrievers multiple pit bulls & I feel these dogs are very special, unique and extremely intelligent 🤓
How many breeds are there around the world like this? I have a Cane Corso no different look at the size weight it's the same. My Corso took down a deer a couple of winters ago if I wasn't there to tell her to let it go it would of only been good for the freezer. Fortunately it got away with a sore throat. They are big dogs but are surprisingly agile but at the same time great with people if they know them.
Me&mrs love these dogs.we've got a Japanese akita, they are a beautiful breed.but my Mrs loves these also.we don't like breeds been judged.infact it really upsets my Mrs, hopefully one day we can of these beauty's a good home.thanks for this video, really appreciate it.
Your dogs are absolutely gorgeous!!! I currently have a bully. And he's a handful. Before him, all I've ever had were pits. Very interested in a Presa in the future!!!
Some of the smartest dogs ever. My family has had rottweilers, cane corsos, yorkies (lol), and now presas they are def part human lol. Responds well to training, loyal to owner its wild. Very intelligent dog.
+Kosta Kollaras Good question, They're pro's and con's to both. It depends on what you want. I just think on pure intellegence alone the presa outweighs the cane corso. But temperament wise Its Cane Corso. Our presa has really bad dog aggression she had brother in her litter that we had for awhile that we homed temporarily with another family member we brought them back together and she went off on him funny thing is my little cousin has rabbits in the house that she protects like they're her children. We tried to do as much socializing as possible but she doesnt like other dogs. Great family pet and really smart. Out of all the dogs our family has had we never thought we love a dog as much as a rottweiler but the presa is now our favorite with the rottweiler coming in as 1B to the 1A. Cane Corsos are really great protection dogs have a really laid back personality and they can turn on there protection instincts in seconds. They can be stubborn and if you've never had a dog or are limited in training ability they'll get over on you and try to be dominant or lead the "pack" in the house but I love them as well. Not to mention i think the cane corso are just really beautiful dogs the way they are built just make them look regal or like royalty just a really good looking dog when they are "right". You find a right dog with the right temperament and that you're comfortable training socializing and everything either way you cant go wrong. When we had cane corsos they were used as herding dogs on my grandparents farms. Our Cane Corso is more of a pet, protection, house dog. Also important. They both need regular exercise. SORRY THIS IS SO LONG HAHAHA if you have any other questions i can go into more detail id def left some stuff out.
i know someone with one of these dogs, she's a female with beautiful brindle markings and just as sweet as can be, she does not know her own size and when she wags her tail it feels like someone beating you on the leg with a rope, she is a puppy in a ponys body but a vey loving dogs.
People talking about what Perro de Presa Canario means let me tell you, these dogs have webbed feet and are excellent swimmers as Presa means 'Lake' in the Canaries,up in the mountains of Gran Canaria in the centre of the island are the 'Presas' if you're ever there head up into them for the day they are very beautiful!
Whenever I see anything about this breed I think of death of Diane Whipple (January 21, 1968 - January 26, 2001) who was a lacrosse player and college coach. She was killed in a dog attack in San Francisco on January 26, 2001. The dogs involved were two Presa Canarios: a male named Bane and a female named Hera.
I have always loved and admired the Presa Canario. I'm thinking of getting myself a Dogo Argentino sometime later this year. I want a dog that's a natural badass. A dog that's loving, affectionate and very protective of it's owner, and enjoys running, and running a lot. I know the Dogo argentino is known for all that. I consider myself active and I do Jog/run a lot and I want a dog by my side when I do get outside and active. How is the Presa Canario in terms of running? Do they like to run a lot or are they more of a chilling dog?
Not trying to start a flame war here but are you sure you're picking true Presa Canario lines from the extinct and wild Perro de Ganado Majorero? You didn't mention anything of that line in the pedigree and that's the sole distinguishing factor from a true Presa and the 'bred-to-look-like-a-Presa, Dogo Canario.' Dogo owners often think they're the same dog and true Presa owners know the difference. The true Presa didn't have a name and wasn't bred for size. It was bred for function and prey drive. It wasn't until the AKC and UKC came along and set an appearance standard in which created the Dogo Canario and it's breeders breeding for the 'look' to meet the set standard. Dogo Canario are often larger, more muscular, more health issues, and less prey drive and less agile because of the breeding for size and look instead of the OG Presa breeding selection for function and prey drive (which the Perro de Ganado Majorero played a major role in.) When I was looking for a true presa I only found a handful of breeders in the world that could trace their pedigree to that bloodline. All others are Dogo Canario bred from a grab bag of mastiff and molosser lines...meaning you have no idea what temperament you're going to get. Just like the 'true' Cane Corso, a true Presa is very hard to find. If you do have a true line, then your "XXL" breeding tactic is completely against the standard of how the dog was originally bred.
well said and I respect any person with a knowledgeable input on the truth of this breed. A lot of people define their dog based on AKC, UKC, and etc, but dog breeds originated in other countries don't. Try FCI people for the tue presa!
Trace Freeman People don't need this dog to have prey drive now days. It's a problem if the dog wants to kill animals. I'd like to see a pic of the original dog you mention though, thanks for the info.
if you don’t like dogs with cropped ears keep your dog’s ears natural. Besides that’s wtf does anybody else’s dog having cropped ears have to do with you?
@@Pooh762 perhaps the fact that in a few countries, including my own, cropping dogs ears is prohibited by LAW simply because it's cruel. But other than that, nothing I suppose.
@@Nite-owl So cropping is magically cruel after the practice has been done for over a century . Not to mention the people responsible for creating certain breeds putting it in the breed standards. Just because something is a law doesn’t make it right. Why do all wild dogs have naturally erect ears ? But It wasn’t cruel to design dogs for looks & go against what nature already made them to be. If any practice is cruel it’s that’s. It’s also cruel to let a dog become obese which the average dog is but nobody is concerned about that. So we can agree to disagree on ear cropping being cruel.
@@Pooh762 We can agree to disagree as long as you are happy for me to personally think you're a fool😏. It isn't magically cruel, it was ALWAYS cruel. Just because something was accepted as normal 100 years ago, doesn't mean things shouldn't change. Should we make an effort to bring back slavery? Reinstate segregation? How about stopping women from voting? If you can't see the cruelty in mutilating a dogs ears for no other benefit than "it looks good to me" then I personally don't believe you're fit to keep animals. Do you also agree in FGM? If chosen by the individual, it's a different matter, but a dog has no choice. I'd actually agree that it's cruel to permit your dog to become obese and thankfully none of mine have ever been overfed and under exercised 🙂I'm also in agreement that in some instances the selecting of specially desired characteristics in breeding for "standards" has simply gone too far and borders on cruelty too, such as those that struggle to breathe, such as bulldogs. I'm far from being a bleeding heart leftie, or animal rights activist #veganforlife, but I (and the law in most civilised countries) see no justification for treating an animal deliberately cruelly just for your own gratification, in fact it sickens me, and make no mistake, ear cropping (and in fact tail docking) is of no benefit to the dog other than making its owner happy.
Hi BillyBadAss, could you do the Great Prynees as a guard dog and what they can do. We have one he's year and 3 moths, he's just now become very protective over me, I love it. I just wanted to get the info from you, as I see that your the very best at putting up correct info on animals. Thank you.
I've had several. They're really more for livestock protection, but I can see where a male would be protective over you, a female. On the flip though you might consider these are "pack" animals. Do not allow him to be "alpha" or it could cause you nasty incidents. Rare a male at that age would allow you to be alpha in his head unless you've taken action to set it straight with him. If you're just mommying him to death you're asking for serious problems.
Have had Great Pyrenees for years. They patrol outside once they know what their territory is. You are their major "Lamby" and they will always protect you, do not make spontaneous aggression. Great Pyrenees are excellent guard dogs if you live in the country because they protect but not randomly chase after people, coyotes, elk, bear, etc. My Mastiff is big on chasing after anything she felt intruded the territory. Always had 2 Great Pyrenees & a Mastiff living by the wilderness. The Mastiff is in with me at night.
I loved the Presa Canario K9 protector video. I am looking for a protection breed but concerned about the feral cats that have adopted me (colony of 5 cats). The cats were used my to Great Dane but she was laid back and did not have high prey drive. She passed away in September and so want another large breed but more for protection.
@@adb8003 Presa canarios are bigger. Most presa's are around 150lbs. Hands down presa's the strongest dogs out there of all time (they were used for fighting and have beaten kangals before)
Great video and much appreciation on his honesty about this breed not being good for a first time owner. That's the type of breeder you SHOULD be purchasing off of. So many breeders out there try to make a quick buck and sell to just anyone. Inexperienced owners normally euthanize and shelter dogs. Nice to see a responsible breeder out there.
Yes they are fed raw with lots of additional things. We post our add-ons for people to see which are readily available anywhere on our website. You can find what we use in most high quality dog supply stores or with the links we provide
In dog knowledge history, the Canarios were generally cattle dogs. Guiding and leading them. The ears were at the time cut off to prevent them from interfering with and bumping the cattle herd. Their normal ears of course stand way out (literally).
I've had experience with these dogs and the mans right not for first dog owners .they are a dangerous strong breed in the wrong hands you have a killer . pitbulls are easier to handle and better for your safety

I believe the baby or child crawling alerted the dogs' instincts as to a puppy or prey. I gave you a "like." You were very informative. Thank you
Greatest comment I've ever read on the breed very informative and cautionary.
impossible 2rottis at same time? maybe a small or not fully grown one and don't forget pitbull can kill presa anyday!
Would it be wise to own one beside a Chihuahua
Longest comment I've ever seen on youtube, and probably a great comment, but I'll never know, cause I'm not reading an 8 paragraph long comment 😩
MASSIVE COMMENT ABOUT A PRESA
I was walking through a field once with my 5 month old German shepherd (girl) And out of the bushes runs a giant, dark presa canario with no collar.
Mr Dayum Fine 😂🤣😂🤣😂👍
Did you keep him
Sounds like most creeps at a bar/club
🤣🤣🤣. I hollered at this! But yes, Presas are amazing dogs! We recently started breeding them and couldn’t be happier with them. Their temperaments are naturally fantastic but as with all dogs, the way they are raised and socialized is vital!
Should of just wanked him off
0:57 thats so cute the way hes just lookin at him
She's not he's..
Was always a pit and bully guy but i have found a new love in the past 6 months.
I worked with him for one week hoping that he would regain the use of his legs, but he could only walk one or 2 feet and then fall over!😢
I sadly had to make the heart wrenching decision to put him to sleep!😢
I was trying to add a couple of photographs of my Elvis, but I can’t figure out how to do it?
I have a 1.5 yr old preas male and he is utterly amazing! He's 28 inches at withers and 125lbs. He's an incredibly obedient dog. I could leave a stake on the coffee table and leave for work, come home and it would still be there. One thing I kinda find odd but enjoy is his love for people. He adores anyone that comes over. When he sees a car pull in the driveway he starts barking but when they get out and make their way to the front door he starts wagging his tail. Yes hes full presa lol. I guess the only answer I can come up with as to why he trust and loves everyone is because of all the interactions he's had with lots of different people.
someones watching this video recently i thought i was the only one
Interesting breed I never heard. Glad to hear you're keeping the line clean!

Thank you Zeke for the time and interview 🙏
when Tyson was laying in his lap that was so cute he was like " dad pet me"
That was not tyson that was nina
Mom is bad a*s
I used to have 67 kg corso. Was like a dog u always loved
100% accurate description oh the Presa. I have a 140lb 1 year old male. Never had a problem with my dog being aggressive towards humans, specially not children. I 100% percent recommend a Presa. I also have an American Bully
+The Shoe Shine Apprentice You gotta be a good alpha though if you have a presa. I wouldn't recommend anyone have this dog.
+The Shoe Shine Apprentice By anyone, I mean not everyone should own one. I realize the way I said it sounds like I don't think anyone should have a presa.
How does this dog or your's look good as a true presa when it's clearly not bred to the breed's standards?
presas will protect your family because they are the most loyal dog. I have some friends and their Presa would break her damn chain to protect them
+GamesMediaPro hahahah
They are both beautiful :) I have a presa she is 9 months old ,and I could not be happier, she is a try friend :) . I had a dogs before, but she is the frst dog thet I train on my on ,I am trying my best to teach her to be the best as it can be ,we work every day and we understand each other more and more.I just love her so much! Sorry for my english i am from Serbia. Tnx for this video :)
wtf is an xxl presa canario. In all my life I have never heard of the xxl presa. Just say you selectively breed for a larger dog.
Giving your line a name gives it value, I see funky names all of the time
+Joshua Brewer yes but if you are breeding with a purpose then that name becomes more than just a funky name it has value behind because your dogs then serve a purpose not just producing a dog to sell it because then nobody will remember you or your dogs years from now.
+Chinada 3 and thats the problem right their. Over in cali they just breeding dogs together to make a quick buck and not a dog that serves a purpose.
The problem is so many people are hanging papers here in america.
great example and well trained pressa
Thank you kindly 🙏
I own one, he's a really great family dog, very compassionate and protective.
Really glad theres a Canario video on this channel. Been looking forward to this!
the presa is not the ultimate k9. The presa is the ultimate GUARD dog
K9 = canine. It's a dog so it's a K9.
@@jonasc1221 yes
Caucasian Shepard is stronger
Yer for protecting land and farm you carnt have one at home
I've watched literally all of your videos at least twice. You're doing dog videos right. No "professionals" sitting in a studio..real owners in the real world with real experience. For a while I thought the fila would be my dream dog, but after these presa videos I'm sold. Keep up the incredible work man, even in rural Mississippi you have big fans. I'll take this opportunity to ask for a Pharoah Hound video?? Thanks again
Been to their kennel before.. Pretty amazing for sure! The few Presa's that I seen there were all healthy and happy.
they are very protective on their owners, our one is 6 months old and weighs 38.3 kg and is a beautiful dog who barks at anyone if they try come at us the wrong way
Love to hear it!
bad ass video presa canario is another breed I like and this was a great representation of the breed best video by far
Thank you!
Thank you and to Zeke!
i had one of these from 10 weeks old to 12 years a beautiful family dog outstanding gaurd dog travelled through europe with me i felt 100% safe still missing him Augusto p.s brought him in spain from a responsible breeder
They are so beautiful, perfect faces
someones watching this video recently i thought i was the only one
I can definitely say looks wise that's easily one of the best lines out there... beautiful dog.. thanks for the upload
I liked this video. You are right, Presa's are not for everyone. I own six. Great protectors.
six??? alot of people will be looking at you when you walk them all
Tommy. Make videos about them lol
How the hell do you walk them?? Do you and your wife hold 3 each or something???! That’s like 200kg EACH. My 45kg cane corso is a challenge to walk on her own!! God knows how you manage with that much weight
Videos or your lying...
Glad to hear!
You can tell them dogs of yours have a real good demeanor
We appreciate it thank you
My presa looks good..
You trained your Presa Canario right it seems 👍
These tv "documentaries" coming out of America about Presas are a joke!!! This guy has no idea about the Presa. The only thing he said that I agree with is that they are not ideal for first time dog owners.
Ce mec est un ignorant
These and boerboels to me are the best bread .. best working dogs in the world ... Temperament is perfect ... Strength unmatched .. massive bite forces in excess of 500psi .. will throw your bully or pitbull around like it's a toy .. beautiful dogs 👍
you see the problem i see with his dogs is they are breeding for size and if u look at his dogs the heads and legs are proportionatly small for their bodies, they seem pudgey and no real tone, this happens with everybreed when you only breed for size!!!
Nice Presa Canario that's a pure breed all the way no doubt about it Champion bloodline👍👍👍👌👌
I LOVE this bread BUT, I'll stick to my sweet, docile great dane💞
Lorri K. I LOVE Danes too! They are my absolute favorite breed and then the Presa, lol.
A good Dane is a joy.
This XL thing is such a BS..
YES, YES, YES, YEEEEESSSSSSSS! Dis’ my breed along with Great Danes!
Extra large presa canario 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 just in the US
Just got a Presa and Rottie mix Female myself, she's 5 months old and very calm dog
Awesome!
I love this bred, best I ever owned, my two just bred, caught them lol
Me&mrs love these dogs.we've got a Japanese akita, they are a beautiful breed.but my Mrs loves these also.we don't like breeds been judged.infact it really upsets my Mrs, hopefully one day we can of these beauty's a good home.thanks for this video, really appreciate it.
OMG! I thought these things died out in the last ice-age.
She is a gorgeous dog!!!!
Uhhhh, enough of that word maybe? The majority of his words were "uh" and "um."
More public speaking practice is a good idea.
@@SpringerA1984 True but you would be surprised how many people dont know how to talk to a small group of people without using uh or um.
They definitely are a great family dog. Grown up with them almost all my life.
i love dogs
Your dogs are absolutely gorgeous!!!
I currently have a bully. And he's a handful. Before him, all I've ever had were pits.
Very interested in a Presa in the future!!!
Thank you so much! We appreciate your support 🙏
Some of the smartest dogs ever. My family has had rottweilers, cane corsos, yorkies (lol), and now presas they are def part human lol. Responds well to training, loyal to owner its wild. Very intelligent dog.
Would you say the cane corso is better then the presa
+NOVANATIONT2A3 thanks very interesting
i know someone with one of these dogs, she's a female with beautiful brindle markings and just as sweet as can be, she does not know her own size and when she wags her tail it feels like someone beating you on the leg with a rope, she is a puppy in a ponys body but a vey loving dogs.
You guys should do a video on the Boerboel.
Daniel Snearl
There is now a Dogumentary on the Boerboel =]
People talking about what Perro de Presa Canario means let me tell you, these dogs have webbed feet and are excellent swimmers as Presa means 'Lake' in the Canaries,up in the mountains of Gran Canaria in the centre of the island are the 'Presas' if you're ever there head up into them for the day they are very beautiful!
hey bullybadass are you going to do one on the south african boerboel?
Rick Keijner is a SME on the Presa Canario and his dogs are top tier.
ThisbeandPyramus Good riddance, lacrosse is an awfully boring sport.
ThisbeandPyramus i think your wrong on the dog breed i believe those were neopolitans not pressa’s
Fine dog.
Some breeds I like the brindle. It fits the Presa.
Mohmad Rafi songs
Omg he is so beautiful
I bought one after watching this, love her too
You say, "uh," too much.
Can you mention the breeders you found out that has this bloodline?
Vinícius Nunes look up: berto a spina on facebook. He has a orignal line presas. No fatties and very athletic dogs.
c20 np143
Who are FCI People? What does FCI stand for, please?
Trace Freeman
People don't need this dog to have prey drive now days. It's a problem if the dog wants to kill animals. I'd like to see a pic of the original dog you mention though, thanks for the info.
Don't know which one I should choose the Presa Canario or the Cane Corso both magnificent looking dogs.
BullyBadAssTV can you please make a dog's lover introduction for german shepherds please
Man, imagine taking a bite from that...ouch. Very striking looking dog...beautiful.
Hey BullyBadass tv can you do the Dogo Argentino next please love the videos big supporter and keep up the good work thanks

❤️ Akitas!. They are also a force to be reckoned with. They May be one of the most loyal breeds you'll ever find. We bred these when I was growing up.
mulliganstew72 do you breed for working qualities? working lines? personal protection? Do you know of any breeders that do?
mulliganstew72 thx for the insight!!
I love the fact that these dogs have naturally stunted ears, totally not been cruelly cropped at all.
if you don’t like dogs with cropped ears keep your dog’s ears natural.
Olde English Bulldogge next!!!👍🏽👍🏽 no blues or tri's please.
My family just bought a Presa puppy today!!!!!
Ashley What did it cost, male or female?
I loved the Presa Canario K9 protector video. I am looking for a protection breed but concerned about the feral cats that have adopted me (colony of 5 cats). The cats were used my to Great Dane but she was laid back and did not have high prey drive. She passed away in September and so want another large breed but more for protection.
You should cover the Fila Brasilerio, that's a great protector and guardian
Another Cadaver Breed. Another with Natural Aggression.
My French mastiff has the same temperament until you raise your hand then you have an aggressive dog. Well trained Guard Dog as well
Nice to hear! How old is your mastiff now? You can see their full personality around 2 years of age
Andre lasted 9 years he passed on I miss him Dearly. Have no Dogs yet. BUT thank you for your videos.
Everytime he says "uh" take a shot
🥴🥴🥴
I love that extra large presa, huge bad ass dog.
They look like the Cane Corso….
Nah its a presa, Both can have brindle fur nothing new.
Both Mastiffs. Corso is a little bigger
Counted "uh" 556 times
Pressa are great natural protector fabulous with kids 😊sacoya i miss u
Had one myself - although I didn't have his ears cosmetically mutilated.
Docking is barbaric!
That is a unique coat love it
"Unlike most mastiffs presa are wary of strangers" mate... name a mastiff that isnt? And if they ain't then there temperment is not true to the breed.
I'm from Spain
Just kinda stumbled across this breed.
Yeah, GFY.
Canarios is absolutely no play toy.
Love the Presa, Im a Bull Terrier guy for 36 years but I'm also very fond of the Presa.... Not sure how having both would work out.
One of the will die
"Uh"
Love the Presa Canario. Thanks for yr work.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
i hope the "XXL Presa Canario" is pure cuz the "XXL Pitbull" is not even pure a pure pitbull weight is 40-65pound
+Average Teen Seeing as how the Presa Canario can easily exceed 100 pounds, his dogs are fine.
Weirdanimalboy
hope so lol
+Weirdanimalboy I ever had a presa bigger than 125lbs. But I've seen some larger.
+Average Teen My Colby's are 55-60 lbs males & females are 35-40 lbs.
Sonny presa canario?
do you feed them raw food
Yes they are fed raw with lots of additional things. We post our add-ons for people to see which are readily available anywhere on our website. You can find what we use in most high quality dog supply stores or with the links we provide
Tyson is a beutifull dog :)
Beautiful Pups man .
Why crop it's ears it wont stop it from getting ear infections.
Looks...duh
+DLM I wouldn't bother if it was mine. There's no need for it.
+Sam Spencer thank you for YOUR opinion...lol
+DLM no problem lol
In dog knowledge history, the Canarios were generally cattle dogs. Guiding and leading them. The ears were at the time cut off to prevent them from interfering with and bumping the cattle herd. Their normal ears of course stand way out (literally).
Wouldn’t recommend it for a first time dog but doesn’t mean it can’t be done though right?
I've had experience with these dogs and the mans right not for first dog owners .they are a dangerous strong breed in the wrong hands you have a killer . pitbulls are easier to handle and better for your safety
The day people stop mutilating their dogs (ears, tails, what have you) will be a day of celebration.
