This helped a lot. Endless thanks. Developed double thumb pain after marathoning some RPG's which usually involve constant running and collecting. (leaning on an analog stick for hours and button pressing). Took a break for 3-4 days, did these exercises = pain is gone.

Exactly! I've never felt pain like this with endless hours of GTA online, nfs or anything else.. but I play Modern warfare on xbox for the first time and in a few months my left thumb is dead🙄🙄 Been a Pc gamer for 17 years of my life playing FPS, and I pick up a controller during the lockdowns and now here I am looking up gaming injuries on TH-cam😖 go figure..

I've been using ice, had shockwave done, physiotherapy massages, acupuncture... and these exercises are the only thing really making the difference for me. I repeated them 4-5 times only 1 day and 50% of the pain is already gone. Thank you for helping with this painful syndrome 🙏🙏🙏

Wow! Thank you so much Doc! Have had "pain" (not bad, more like annoying) for years with left hand thumb. After doing this once, it helped immediatly. I usually don´t play nowdays with a gamepad/controller, but after 35 years of playing c64´s, nintendos, playstations, xboxes, PC´s, use of controller usually surprisingly fast starts that thumb-pain. Don´t wanna sound like tv shop but this was really easy, and think from nowon I just can´t live without this excersice no more. Also thanks alot for bringing up healthy gaming. Me myself is good bad example what kind of a problems can doing gaming "wrong" do.. Don´t have overweight thats not an issue, but my back is killing me. (there´s old snowboarding accident also..) But nowdays chairs are better, everything is better. I can just wonder how bad things could be if I havent been snowbording and biking my whole life. :P Salute, peace and love

Thank u so very much. I am not a gamer I work using a handheld device full-time and am in constant pain. The exercises shown here were easy to do and offered some immediate relief. Also I am very impressed and fully agree with ur suggestion of using a combination approach which blends eastern and western medicine. Eastern med treatment options have been around for thousands of years are underutilized in our country largely due to ignorance. Acupuncture is but one of them. Herbalism, acupressure, massage, and meditation are but a few. I urge people to step out of their comfort zones and to try different methods which work for them.
