      I liked 5 and 7 the best. How common is it to find a balcony that you can sit or drink coffee on? Being outside in the morning is very important to me!

      @C Comm it will depend on the apartment because of the router and the package that they choose. As for regular data, you can get a monthly sim card $12 where the speed is quite fast. Da Nang is catching up to Thailand for "digital nomads".

    Without a doubt the one you stayed in. Not because it was the least expensive one, but it actually looked the most luxurious and modern. And the size was perfect for one person. More space just means more cleaning and less time for exploring the outside. Although I wouldn’t mind relaxing for a day or two at this place. Wouldn’t it be nice if we here in Canada could find something close to it ? Makes me wanna cry.
    PS. Nice job on the vlogs. The videos and your guiding voice reflects a perfect combination.

    Have to go with the #2. Greek columns for the win! ...and the bed...lounging around in a toga, drinking wine from a golden goblet, grapes peeled by hand and a fresh wreath of laurel leaves. OK, maybe a bit over the top, but matches the décor!

    Thanks great info i'd just like to see the outside views because i do like apartments with little balconies and the view can make a difference eg sea view or building view and if overlooked etc. When i first went vietnam i didnt stop in da nang and 2nd time i did and loved it, hoi an is also amazing. unfortunately weather ruined my trip in nov 23 so much torrential rain it followed me from hanoi, ninh bing, da nang to hoi an.

    Nice work! I like how u show apartment info for a while before it disappears. Nice apartments, but wasn't clear on rent differences beside 2 bedroom. Others seemed the same. How much needed up front? Rent, security? Other? Lease term? How far from front door to beach? One more biggie; when was the last time a serious storm hit these areas? Category 3 or 2.

    How nice to be spoiled for choice. It is hard to pick one without knowing the surrounding neighborhood and the vibe of the building. Like you, my first choice would likely be #1, but I'd be happy with #5, #7, or #8, with an honorable mention for #4 too. A balcony would be a big plus. Based on my experience in service apartments, a separate sleeping area can also be a real bonus, particularly if you plan to have friends visit from time to time, or also if you are a light sleeper, as some refrigerator compressors are loud and can disturb sleep during the night.
    Is it worth having the washing machine in Da Nang, or is it like most places in Thailand where getting laundry done is easy and affordable?
    I will look forward to the step-by-step how to rent instructions next week. Be well. Cheers.

    • @PortableProfessional
      @PortableProfessional  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mark! Good choices, and totally agree that you need to see the surrounding area and get the 'vibe". I love having a separate room, but I fell in love with my landlord and her family. It's so nice to move somewhere when you know the internet will work and so on... I'd be happy to pay more for a 1 bedroom, but I like the convenience of sticking to somewhere I know. My building had laundry on the rooftop. There are also laundry-mats around the city - very cheap!

  • @StanHasselback
    @StanHasselback 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    5, 1, and 3. Having a separate living room from the bedroom is nice also a large refrigerator is helpful. Locations is the key. Hopefully I wouldn't be spending too much time in my apt. This is very helpful to get an idea of what's possible at this price point. How many minutes walk is it from the beach from these apartments? If you wanted to be able to see the ocean could you do it for $600 or would it be a lot more?

    • @PortableProfessional
      @PortableProfessional  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could do it for 600. The places lining the beach are typically fancy resorts, but you could get a high floor on an apartment across the street from beach access. You are within 5-15 minutes walking to the beach from the location in this video.

    Megan, the apartments have a huge TV and share the wall with the house next door. So how bad was the noise level when everyone played their TV loudly? You have the noise from the two adjacent houses, plus the noise from the apartments above and below you, plus the noise from the streets. How bad of a noise nightmare was it?

      Many of the buildings are 8-10 stories and very thin. I have never lived having someone beside me- only across from me. Street noise (regardless of how high you live) is a bigger problem to worry about. PLUS it's foreigners living in these apartments and they usually don't have the TV on as no channels to watch. Seriously recommend a chromecast!

    Hey Megan I would say if I was looking in Danag I'd say 1 6 & 9 would be my favourites. Yours was a lot bigger that I thought at first glance you've got a nice Balcony and space over all. It be would cool if you did a GTA(Greater Toronto Area) apartment video and a suburb apartment video. It would be an interesting comparison. I think you live in Ottawa I may be wrong. Really what I meant was a local apartment tour around your neck of the woods. Maybe multi-Province. I know not you're wheelhouse really I understand just think it might make interesting video.

      Great suggestion on the Canada version of this video. The trouble is it is so hard to find an apartment where I live! It's more stressful than fun haha. I'd be calling all over and trying to set up appointments... hm... maybe after the virus situation settles down...

      @@PortableProfessional thanks that sounds like a plan looking forward to video. Don't want to cause you too much stress. I'm sure you'd manage to reduce the stress some how. Thank you In advance for your sacrifice for us your fans. I'm willing to wait until then dont worry. I'm sure no Realtor In Canada would too much of a hard ass. particular with such an endearing women as you. Although maybe their not as secptable to hot bloudes as me. Also i've always wondered do bloudes have more fun? a little long winded and flirtatious hopefully you'll forgive both.

    The last one is my favorite. These prices are for a month or a week?

    Not crazy about any of them, particularly because the bathroom door is adjacent the kitchen.
