Great Video that looked like a very big job and I like that yiou also had the after video showing yard after completed. It was a good thing yiu were able to connect to the street sewer to get the water out of there.

I’m a former New Yorker who moved to South Carolina. I have an area in my front yard that stays wet longer than a day and I am not sure if a French drain would be best there. I know the property has good drainage pitch because you can see the water running off in a heavy rain. It’s just one section that has me a bit concerned. Keep up the great work!

I haven't seen blue 4 inch before, is it a city requirement? I wonder if you can build up the dirt by those neighbors so water doesnt plunge into the yard?
Hi Design Build. Not a requirement. That's SDR 35. Much stronger than thin wall and you still get the full range of fittings. It's my go to 4 inch pipe. It used to be green. They made it blue a couple years ago. You cannot change the grade or level of your yard within 10 feet of the property line in this town. Have a great week, Tom

So they won't let you tie into storm runoff but they'll let you tie into sewer drain? Hmmm sounds like they'll be paying extra for their sewer fees and in big rain events the city sewer will become overwhelmed. I should say in Pennsylvania you cannot tie storm runoff into sewer.
I think we have a misunderstanding with the terms we use here in Jersey. The storm sewer is different from the sanitary sewer. Storm sewer are curb drains and is for rainwater. Sanitary sewer system is sewage that goes to the treatment facility. It's not legal to tie into the sanitary sewer system. The town gave us permission to tie into the storm sewer pipe that runs between 2 catch basins.
