This still requires something many of us don't have, cool friends that play monster hunter. Anyway this isn't too hard even with an idiot AI (use local connection for better AI's) if you're playing in the most effective way. Use weapons with elements the monster are weak to, use the correct weapon damage type vs body part weakness, wear armor that counters the monsters elements and bring monsties that are good counters for the monsters element and type. I've seen way too many people not doing this. They use great sword or HH and that's that and refuse to use anything else and X, Y and Z are their favorite monsties and refuse use others. Which is why something like Kluve which is hard but not all that much is suddenly seen as this bif difficulty spike when it isn't.
If u get unlucky and get the ai with the deviljho gs its almost impossible tbh. Since they get one shot by every possible kulve move, regardless of how many ancient potions u pump into him
You have described my friend to a T. We ran KT last night and I kept telling him he needed to switch off his Rath Greatsword as KT was fire resistant. He did not respond. I then just sent one message, "You brought all fire weapons didn't you?" his response was "...yes" Some people use what they like but really want to fight KT and win. It's frustrating but at the same time, who am I to tell my friend how to play his game? If he enjoys playing it that way, then cool. Let him/her enjoy it their own way.
@@commissarrezzik8713 I disagree with the whole "Let them play as they want" mentality, when it crosses into multiplayer. If you're playing with someone else and they want to succeed, then it's selfish to just play how you want, when it's actively making it harder to succeed. That's all well and good for solo, but when it's negatively affecting other players, then it's the person playing selfishly who's the problem.
I’d personally run the Velkhana SNS instead of the bloodbath sword because there isn’t much difference in power and the counter for SNS does work for all of kulve skill attacks
thank you for this guide. following this, even with an Ai, I was able to beat this in like 15:07. This happened because my partner dc'd and was replaced with an Ai, but it happened before I even beat the first enemy. So I think that counts. The one hit KO tech was the true MVP of that glorious run.
My fastest was 16 minutes and 24 seconds. I just used my crit set with my boltreaver hh then my barrioth gs while my partner had his heroics set with their kirin ss and kushala hammer. I used my kulu as the one hit ko monstie, my boltreaver for the first phase and my kushala in the second phase while my partner used their bloodbath as their one hit ko, rajang for the first phase, and velkhana for the second phase. Our strat was to split up to cover more ground and meet up with kulve.
You know what armor set is pretty good for this as well? Rajang's :). It has Wex (XL), Crit (L) and Heroics (L). I use a talisman that has Anti-Burn (XL) and Potential (XL) so in case I take a hit from Kulve's fire I get no blight and Potential sometimes helps if Kulve hits again. Overall if you don't mind being below half health you'll have high crit and amped up damage. Just use a Velkhana HH to get out of her Core Explosions. Also that deadly horn jab skill never worked for me except on Tobi...
i just beat it solo in 19:13 using some tips from this video ... thank you :) here's my setup for anyone who's interested Equipment: Rajang SnS, Velkhana HH, Grimclaw Tigrex armor, Partbreaker (XL)/Revival (L) talisman Monsties: Silverwind Narga for fast movement around the map + the OHKO move Rajang for power and speed moves Velkhana for technical and speed moves Might charm + Mounting prayer AI partner was Kushana, the one with Ivory Lagiacrus hopefully this can be helpful to others ... good luck!
@@captainkaboomybeard7920 I say I'm not going for time as I miraculously get 17 mins how I did it I'll never fucking understand but I know this it will never happen again
I successfully accomplished this mission many times and don’t need to do it anymore thankfully. The most difficult things are how fast time goes by, finding all three monsters and having a competent player that’s not weak or keeps running into monsters wasting tons of time.

If you don’t want to switch to a Kirin for speed just give rajang a speed electric attack, I use lightning strike because it does multi hit and you can do a double attack with it.
one small thing to add is you can kill them in any order so if you're running solo you can head right, kill brach then kulve 2 stages and then over to ast to finish the quest
I think another viable ice monstie for this fight would be Kushala Daora Not only for his ice affinity, but also because he's not weak to fire (unlike Velkhana)
co-op with a friend but dont fight together, theres heaps of delay when picking moves while both engaging in same combat, i get my friend to beat the sub 2 monsties while i take down kulve both phases, completed in 11min flat so far. solo everything saves heaps of time
I brought thunder/ice hammer and thunder/ice monstie with last monstie having 1hit ko skill. Rider skills: furybash/weak point/breaker/crit xl. With this template I got a 19 min clear with npc the day it came out after 5 tries. Infact, with this build I've been carrying randoms through it for funsies at lv 80 ish. No matter how lost they are, we clear anywhere from 20 to 22 mins. To clear under 20 though, you still need good coordination from partner or npc (npc with blunt weapon was better than randoms imo).
There's a faster way to do it. Have one player with breaker and a hammer go for Taroth and the other player take both Brac and Asta. The hammer player can constantly use the Meteor skill to break the parts while the other is trying to get horn jab to work. Beat it in 16 minutes.

What skill are you using to avoid the AOE attacks that Kulve trows out. I know there’s absolute evasion, but when I play with randoms they don’t use the skill is there a skill. Is there a HH skill that makes your whole party evade one attack? (edit): how do I get evasion rift
