I think Jonas & Heather must figure out a non-violent method of solving conflicts and settling disputes. Tetris and Dr. Mario are off-limits as they are biased. I guess apnea contest is nicely impartial way to get going.
Definitely! Honestly there should be world tournaments for many different puzzle games from over the years. It’s an underrated genre in terms of esports.

i think she's sometimes a little too focused on setting up fancy triple and quad combos when quick, repeated doubles are more effective. by the time she sets up a quad, he already hits 2 or 3 doubles and ruins it anyhow, then she's stuck cleaning up all the garbage. i saw another player lose doing the same thing, and it looked like he could've won if he just hurried and took the double while they were there.but he kept trying to set up bigger combos and got buried in garbage before he could get them off. they could have several doubles but end up with nothing waiting for those bigger combos.
Tetris is definitely the more hype and fast paced game but it seems Dr. Mario is deeper on the puzzle solving aspect. I do think the garbage sending rng kinda ruins the game a bit.
I would agree if it was purely random but since garbage is only sent when you pull off a combo, it's a reward for good play rather than a random nuisance. Where it drops can feel bad for sure but i think that just makes for good drama and tense games

The players should not be able to hear the commentary. It's super distracting especially when they are cracking personal jokes, "as a married woman" etc.

Indeed commentary should be IMO for the viewers at home. I think commentary that it's heard in the Arena is really bush league IMO. There should be at least a play by play guy and a color guy and call the action like it is. At least the commentators here are extremely professional overall and sound like sports broadcasters. Some events, specially fighting games have really amateurish commentating.
I think it adds something to see them joking and having fun with each other. The wife comment isn't inappropriate, that is his actual wife. Besides the players are given the option to hear the commentators or not. That's why Jeff is wearing headphones in the Boom Tetris for Jeff T-shirt. They can elect for silence if they prefer

Totally unnecessary. And wrong. She may not be as fast as dm here, but she certainly doesn’t play like garbage. She’s very skilled and sets up excellent combos. Her horizontal game is incredible
