Hallo there. Do you know maybe what is that extra connector with cable attached to negative terminal? Thanks! Because I disconnected only once both terminals and after attaching them back, my NAVI doesn't work properly. I see that you had one sparkle while attaching the negative terminal back. Is it normal? Could it be the the cause of my NAVI problem? Thanks
do you mean the fuse? If so yes maybe the fust might have gone which might need changing and on some cars when the battery is changed the car needs to be programmed with the new battery in order for it to work.
@@mahadragonThanks for the info. A garage wanted to charge 40 euro to update the ECU for stop/start. I swapped it over and then was able to sell the car. Got a BMW 520D now. Fortunately they had just spent 450 euro on a new battery, so no worries there.
@@alphacustomz I have uploaded videos on various channels myself and it involves all sorts of work, editing etc so thanks for the information you posted. it is just a personal thing.
Thank you so much, fab video and I've just successfully changed the car battery by myself, so chuffed!! Thank you!

My I ask you a question: the gloves are special one (higher resistance current for example) or whatever gloves?
they are just normal gloves to keep hands clean :)
top video..thanx
No problem mate!
If that’s smaller, it’s suppose to be replacing like for like. Did that come with start/stop technology?
No it doesn't have start stop
Did you have to code the computer for the new battery?
Nop didn't have to code this one.
No code, but your computer will be reset. You'll have to reset the time, your radio presets, etc. It's annoying.

What about lights on dash
There was no lights on dash for this.
@@alphacustomz today a switched batteries and dash was like a cristmas tree but later on after some kms all lights disappeared
@@jansifrar1590 ah yes I've seen that on another golf. After driving for a while it disappeared.
Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and then to the left and all the lights will go away
what about coding etc? isn't this a start/stop?
Yes it is but this one didn't need coding when changing the battery
Thanks, but a pity about the annoying music.
