- I was able to find a very rare 1968 Datsun 1600 Roadster with no rust from original owners!!! Original owner gave to self for a present after surviving Vietnam War. Shoutout to Thomas and family thank you for everything.

Great video. I'm the man that bought this when I returned from Viet Nam. I loved that my son, Thomas, drove it to High Shool. He made me proud. Carole. His Mom has been wonderful in letting him store it in her garage instead of sitting in the hot desert sun in Apple Valley. It has never been in an accident nor has it any salt corrosion or body rot. I'm sorry I didn't keep the original sales slip. I will be looking forward to reading your post. Stay well.

I was very impressed on how good of shape the car is considering it’s age, I really feel blessed to own this vehicle and knowing the story behind it is more than enough. parts for this thing won’t be easy to come by. my grandfather and i rebuilt a 2000 last year, i spent a lot of time searching for parts. good luck!

Bro! Congratulations! That is a super clean roadster! Hot August Nights is mostly American muscle but lately I'm seeing a lot more Euro and classic JDM. It's perfect for Hot August Nights. And yeah, those wheels gotta go! Some Rotas will do the trick..... and keep it OG as long as you can, in my opinion.
