What do you think of mixing colors and patterns in a tablescape? Are you all-in or not a fan?
I love this idea of eating while passing food around the table- this is what we did at my mother’s table, there was never any room for a centerpiece! Thanks for sharing some great ideas, I LOVE the napkin fold with that lovely napkin ring around it! A charming tablescape, keep them coming!👌
Awww ~ thank you so much! It's wonderful to hear that you like the tablescape. I too love passing food around the table. 😀
Beautiful tablescape! Love the colors all mixed together. So festive!
Glad you like it! 💛
Beautiful tablescape!
Thank you! 😊
Would you believe back in the 80's when I was a cook on a nuclear Submarine we fed the crew family style with big serving bowls of the different dishes on every table. Now it all buffet style I hear . But I still enjoy doing family style at home every time it's more than just me and my wife. In the wardroom we had to set the table with a tablecloth and fancy China and silverware. Then serve the officers off of silver platters. That's where I first started doing tablescapes I reckon. Well at least learned the proper place settings.
Anyway when you said colorfully you weren't kidding. The place mat with the ruffles is so yummy. Love the way your layering played off of the piece before but not taking away any focus and isn't it funny how turning the plate design from 6 o'clock to 7 o'clock made the world of difference.
My Mother's day table this year is going to be in pink and blue pastel with more of a newborn baby/ joy of new motherhood theme. I might have to borrow your napkin placement idea, just trying to come up with the perfect napkin rings ideal. Thanks again for a very informative video. Happy upcoming Mother's Day. 😊
WOW! You were on a nuclear sub - thank you for your service!! I love that you served family style. There's something about passing food around the table, and people not needing to leave the table to get more food, that feels more connected to each other.
Thank you so much for your kind comments and input. I appreciate it. Your Mother's Day table idea sounds like it will be fantastically sweet! 😀
I absolutely LOVE this tablescape!!!
