This is gorgeous! I am not confident enough to glaze my oil paintings. There's always the fear that the paint hasn't properly cured and I might end up smearing days of work 😥
Love your voice and love this video! You're one of the TH-cam artists that made me want to start painting a few years ago. And it's always nostalgic and comforting to watch your channel. Love how you change and develop through the years while preserving your uniqueness, and keep inspiring me and so many people. I agree that the first layer is rougher, but I have this personality where I get bored and tired if I keep working on the same thing for a long time. I'm not proud of this trait but I hate when people try to shame me for it (not you of course), I think artists should be more open-minded because otherwise it defeats the whole meaning of art and being an artist. I'll reiterate that this last point is not directed at you! Just some thoughts to add to the first thing I said, which is that every artist's preferred methods and techniques are personal and there is no wrong way of doing it, and that's the point a lot of people seems to be missing, but artists of all people should be more aware of it and try to be as open-minded and freedom-loving as possible (I went a little off topic!)
And I thought the first layer was good, but the glazing was perfection! P.S. Do you have a video (or tips) that demonstrates how you get the consistency of your paint buttery but opaque? I've experimented with different mediums like Liquin, linseed oil, solvent free gel, and gamsol, but I always feel like I miss the mark an it's either still thick or too thin and streaky. Is it just one of those - you'll get it when you get it - or is there a certain mix or ratio?
I love your art and have been learning so much from your paintings ❤ have you finished studying at the atelier? I would love to hear more! Are you open to share which atelier you went to now that you’ve finished? Only asking because I am also located in the Bay Area ❤
You're a much more complete artist and personality, post atelier. My favorite thing is your heightened confidence. 👍👍👍
Two videos from you in one week? We are blessed
I love the improvement since the atelier! Your work always stuns me
Every video you make is so inspiring. The second layer really brought this piece to life!
Woooooooah! Huge improvement!!!!❤
This is gorgeous!

But doesn't glazing mean to only use transparent paints in thin layers?
What brand of oleogel do you use
I’m trying to build a Timelapse art channel, but it’s hard going.
