This brought me to tears.... my father introduced myself and my 2 brothers to fishing. He's now gone and to see the pure joy of Father with son made me miss him. And i thank all fathers out there that show their children the joy of fishing.

Right, please don't get me wrong, this is a great moment for a father and son to have. But... where do you go from here? All that magic of catching your first big perch, roach even gudgeon etc won't be the same. Im not takeing anything away from the capture, but fishing is like this now. There is no slow climb up the ladder through the species until you get to tench and bream, then carp, then big carp, then GIANT carp! Just my thoughts
True. And what tackle Can he upgrade to? He has three expensive rods and setup, etc. he has everything too soon.
My thoughts, only video from the last few seconds of the fight. Did dad or son hook the fish? Etc.
@@LeeOsborneSings can I ask what you mean that he has too much gear too soon? He’s been fishing with me since he was 18 months old catching all species to specimen sizes. Nearly ten years fishing experience already and every birthday and Christmas present for the last 5 years has been fishing gear. He wants for nothing apart from to improve his fishing and his gear. Those rods are my old set I’ve had for 10 years and even those weren’t just handed to him, they counted as a birthday present when I upgraded my gear. Find it strange you can make such sweeping statements when you actually have no idea on his background. 10mins after landing this fish he was using a whip catching roach and pumpkin fish. And yes he hit the take and played it from start to finish, it was his spot, his rod and his baiting. 100% his fish.
