I really like your "new and improved" videos! The close-up details of the inpainting, which demonstrates the restoration artist's skills, are what I enjoy watching. Please keep up the new style videos!
Although the process is much the same for all the posters, I still enjoy watching it - I know what you're going to do etc each time but it's very relaxing and seeing the finished result is very satisfying - it never gets old! I especially like seeing the process for adding in pieces and colour touching etc. Thanks for showing us how it's done :o)
A beautiful restoration for this poster which is a re-release from 1960 in offset (difficult to restore), the detail of the superposition of techniques (painting, pencils, scratching) are interesting to observe. The original poster from 1951 in lithography designed by Boris Grinsson is very rare.
One of your shorts just popped up in my feed and I have to say that after watching all the shorts this is extremely satisfying to watch and see all of these pieces of history being saved for future generations to appreciate! You have a new subscriber 💙
wonderful! I'd love it if, for future videos, you talked about the movie or music that the poster depicts, or maybe about the artist who designed it, or about the printing techniques and how they may differ and make the conservation work harder. Although, I understand that's a lot more work, but it would make the videos even more engaging
"And what would you like for Christmas?" "I'd like a set of 487 coloured pencils please Santa!" 😊 Lovely poster and amazing restoration - makes me wish I'd scored a few of those adult colouring books when they first came out.....
---> *_I am curious why you do not paint in raster? Also, if you have the equipment, a larger laser printer could add the missing raster; I guess it's hard to paint/color in raster?_*
Great work! 👍 i also like the fact yhat the robot is carrying a woman in his arms, which does not happen in the movie. They obviously tried to sell it as a monster movie.🤖 The movie is about bringing world peace, not groping women!😇
I prefer your older videos style where the shots are further away from the posters during the cleaning process. Impressive results on the actual clean and restoration.

Thank you 😊
Absolutely outstanding work. True artistry. You ladies are the best ! George The GlassMan.

The touch up work is amazing!!
I love how the shots are the perfect distance from the subject, including during the restoration.
Thank you very much!

simply amazing.
I kinda wish I could do the same thing but with my past.

Thank you for the kind words :)
Great restoration work. On a side note, this poster looks like an amalgam of The Day the Earth Stood Still, Forbidden Planet, and This Island Earth.
I love preservation of art!!!
Watching these videos always makes me wish I got in to conservation. Beautiful job as always.
🥰

Noted! We’ll see what we can do 😊
Man, these videos are the best!
Glad you like them!
Another Fantastic Job 😊
Thank you!😊
Fantastic poster

Right on!
What kind of cleaner do you use to spray on in the beginning
Curious about the fully "reversible adhesive". What's the process for removing the adhesive?
Soak in water
I sent your shop an email a week or so ago about possibly getting some vintage Star Wars posters linen-backed. Did you receive it?
We are a little delayed following up on new inquiries. If you resend your email we will make sure to keep an eye out for it!
@@FourthConeRestoration Turns out I typed in the wrong email. All my fault and will send in a few. Thank you so much.
プラスチックシートの上から洗っているが、それで洗浄できるのが不思議です。
Very impressive work.
A minor point - the film came out in 1951. Were they still making posters for it in the 1960's?
This poster is a rerelease from the 60s 😊

ポスターも芸術品です 誰が笑っているだろうが 次の人が見て納得と感動と刺激するでしょう ( ´∀`)b

Why? It’s a poster.
Doesn't understand art/collectables ☝️
Shots are too close to the subject, except during restoration. Nice poster though.
All shots are perfect as they are.
@@Mrshoujo OH - Thanks! I had no idea you were a member of American Society of Cinematographers like I am.
If someone wants a perfect poster just print a new one. The imperfections and age related wear I think should be seen.
