    The unit heats up fast and is super quiet. It looks fancy th-cam.com/users/postUgkxl8Od2BvnGbn1ffwqsuFXW0QnmcZgMiVY and can be kept in the living room. It gets hot within a split second of turning on the unit. The build quality is exceptionally good and is safe to be around kids and pets. This one is super quiet and can be kept on while in office meetings, my wife loved it. It shows the temperature right on the unit which is very useful and adding a rotating feature helps to heat up the surrounding, so other people will not fight with you for heat. It is right as described in the description..!! Definitely recommend!!

    Thank you for the video I really appreciate it I was wondering So if you have a heater for above ground pool would you mind walking through the steps of getting the pool ready for summer using your heater following how to hook up the pump and filter Thank you so much you rock

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  ปีที่แล้ว

      After you get your system together, if you have a heater, you will do everything in the video with a few additional steps. First, hook up the return line from the filter to the inlet of the heater, then hook up the other return line from the heater outlet to the return on the pool. Next, make sure any drain plugs that where removed from the heater are put back. Make sure when you are ready to start the system that you check for leaks. Once running, if everything is good, then you can test the heater. Thanks for watching.

    One question: if I just changed the sand, do I need to backwash first or can I just start the filtering? Thank you!

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Back wash and rinse first. New sand has film and you want to rinse the sand before going to filter.

    Hi, 2 questions.
    1. I lowered the water level. My return has a plug right now so When do I hook up the return hose? After water level is above the return hole or do it ahead of time ?
    2. At what point in this video do you shock your pool? I believe it should be done as the last step in this video and let the pump run for 24 hours, right ?
    Thank You and great video

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hook up the return hose, remove the plug and add water. After you started your system, test your water and add your chemicals.

    So I had a professional close my pool last year. We set everything up like you did except we were advised to drain the pool last year 6" below the skimmer. When the closer came over he put on a winterize plate over my skimmer inside the pool. Its not an aqua door, but you have to actually take out some of the skimmer housing screws I believe 10 out of the 18 and then screw on the winterizing plate. My question is my husband opened the pool himself this summer. He hooked up everything like you did while he filled up the pool halfway the skimmer window. Once the water level was ok he then removed the plug and put in the eyeball. Next he went to take off the winterized plate and water started pouring out the outside along the side edge of the skimmer box (square part that fits to the pool wall). He couldn't see it but himself, but I noticed as he was just about to take off the third screw from the winter plate. Luckily I grabbed the skimmer and held it tight and had him screw everything back in because the outside of the skimmer was actually slipping and moving. We called our pool installer and he advised us to drain the pool down a little below the skimmer so he could come over to evaluate. When he did we found the problem. The person who closed our pool took the entire skimmer window plate off and screwed the winterized plate directly to the liner/pool wall. Now my question is..... if the person didn't take that window plate off and we opened the pool the same way, is it ok that we take the winterized plate off with water half way up the skimmer? The place I purchased the pool states it shouldn't matter. If it was done correctly.

    My above ground filter seems to have never worked correctly. I have to back wash and rinse at least 3 times a week to keep the filter, at what I think normal flow. Purchased a new pump and still the same thing. The only thing that I think may cause this is that when the above ground filter (where the sand goes) was installed it sets a little crooked. Would that cause a problem?

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It wouldn’t be from the tank being set crooked. It sounds like you may need a sand change, or possibly that you have a clog. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call Tuesday - Saturday 10-5 pm est.

    Question from Toronto. With a salt cell, should I shock the pool a couple times before I turn the salt cell back on?

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  ปีที่แล้ว

      When opening a pool for the season you would normally shock, if your chlorine level is low. Then you want to take your water to your local pool store to have it tested and make sure your balance is good before turning on the salt generator.

  • @mase60391

    Would you vacuum and shock the pool before backwashing and rinsing?

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You want to vacuum, then backwash and rinse. Adding chemicals is always last.

    Hi Mark, I have a new house with an existing pool that was winterized by the previous owners. Because we live in Northern Ontario, they blew out the lines and added antifreeze. Does this affect the process of opening? How would I ensure all of the antifreeze is gone so it doesn't get into my pool water? Thank you! Haley

    I had a question Plse
    We followed the instructions but the pump basket seems to be Turing g over rapidly
    I remember last year it was hard to even see the water in the basket on the pump.
    Does it take time to turn over and settle? I hope you are able to understand my question.

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your pump should be running air tight. If you are seeing a lot of air you may have something loose (lid, plugs, o'ring or clamps) If you have any questions feel free to contact me I will be glad to help.

    How long do you let it run in backwash, rinse and filter modes?

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would backwash for 2 to 3 minutes and rinse for 30 seconds. It’s best to run the filter 24/7, but at a minimum of 8 to 12 hours per day.

    Does the sand filter need to be filled with water or just the pump? My filter sits above the level of the pool so I don't think gravity will back fill it.

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Once you open the pool, prime the pump and you’re done. You do not have to fill the filter with water, the pump will do this automatically. Thanks for watching.
