I have been dealing with this issue for a year. I got an MRI done in the fall of 2023, which showed that I have near complete detachment of my Aponeurosis. Since February 2024, I have been taking BPC 157 twice daily and have noticed significant improvements in both adductor and my lower abdominal. I can now train again perform situps cross kick across my body. Bring my niece to my chest and pinch my thighs together. It is not 100% resolved however I would gauge somewhere around a 75 to 85% improvement over the last three months. I have not had surgery and have not participated in physical therapy, I have only taken time off my sport taken the BPC. I am currently waiting another appointment with my orthopedist to request a follow up MRI after I do another three month cycle. I was happy to see your consideration of BPC. This is the first I have seen of all the content and videos I’ve watched and read.thank you for your content.

Hello Dr Geier. My son is a soccer player who seems to have athletic public for over a year. Is there a way to get a consultation with you? Thanks, Nabil Khoury, MD

This seems to a poorly understood issue based on the consultations I've had. Mine started as a vague, easily dismissible soreness maybe a little after a 25mi. run, and slowly grew until one day it simply dawned on me that I had an injury. It is a pain typically centralized where my right adductor attaches to the pelvis, radiating downward through the adductor into the thigh and up into the abdomen. Sometimes the abdomen hurts more, sometimes the thigh. 2 MRIs later (1T and ~8mo. later a 3T) I got a a report from the 3T of "avulsion injury of the right common adductor-rectus abdominus aponeurosis at the tenoperiosteal interface, with reactive bone marrow edema". I'm not a doctor but that seems to be in the right ballpark. I took about 6 months off of running between the 2 MRIs and the pain improved but did not fully disappear. I have returned to running though with less mileage, and the pain is very manageable but remains present, as if the healing has plateaued at ~75%. With my recent MRI I'm hoping to find a surgeon who can do something minimally invasive for it; or maybe it will heal on its own slowly over the course of the next 2 years, who knows. Thanks for the video, hopefully it will play a role in helping the issue become more easily diagnosable and treatable.

After 2 ultra sound scans the radiographer is almost certain I have a sports hernia, my GP ( doctor) was convinced I had a inguinal hernia as I had all the symptoms but no bulge and a sharp pain in the groin area whenever I coughed or sneezed, it's now been six months sinced I have had this injury and I guess my question is can this be repaired without surgery? Maybe with intense physiotherapy and injections?

Have been dealing with what I think is a sport hernia the last 4 weeks. I have been looking up videos on rehabilitation. I have seen some improvements in movement and pain but not confident enough to get back into soccer just yet. Any idea how much longer this could last??

PLEASE REPLY! I had a mallet finger injury I wore a splint for 8 weeks and I returned to the orthopedic to get permission to remove it . A day later my finger was bent again, is it possible to start the process all over again ? I'll be honest I did remove it during the 8 weeks to clean it but to my knowledge I kept my finger straight

I am a high level pickleball player play competitively….i hav two sports hernias one on each side according to the MRI. Was diagnosed a year ago now….was very painful have moderate arthritis in my left hip. Do PT religiously…first four months just PT , playing now up to 1.5 to 2 hrs every other day. The last three months found a pt guy that also does heavy fascia work which has helped….i would say I am back to 85 or 90 percent ..have been unable to play tournaments yet. Really not sure if it will ever get back to normal but just take it a day at a time….any thoughts?
