  • In this one we finish up our time in the Grampians to head home and install a suspension lift kit into our 2022 Next Gen Ford Ranger.
    Bryce installs our 2 Inch Dobinson's suspension lift with 500kg Constant load rear leaf springs.
    In the Grampians we explore a couple of walks and venture up to the Pinnacle but we may have cheated...
    Thanks heaps!

    Another great video guys. Glad you mentioned the weight breaking the ute on all types because people use to rubbish your old triton for doing it. It all comes down to doing what the ute is capable of. Seen to many videos of people going to what the dealer said and the breaking its back.

    • @CaravanAdventureAus
      @CaravanAdventureAus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers mate! Absolutely, I had so many comments about the triton and breaking the chassis. It's not a triton thing it's an airbag in leaf spring problem and happens to all Ute's

    Great video guys, from your Darwin viewers. We drove thru Grampians exactly 12 months ago and got caught out with Parks Victoria closing all the walks for a week of controlled burn offs. This was a Friday on a long weekend. Anyway they told us to come back another time, yeah right, we’ll pop down from Darwin. Still made the most of the stay and definitely will be back. Safe travels.

    Hi guys, great videos looks like you both enjoy doing what your doing. With the modified suspension you use to have to also alter the brake bias to suit new ride heights and weights that have now changed from standard. Is this recomended with the new 4wd's now?

    • @CaravanAdventureAus
      @CaravanAdventureAus  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate thanks for the comment, I know in some cases the brake lines need to be extended but not sure what you mean by brake bias, we haven't had any issues so far 👍🏽

  • @derekperry9720
    @derekperry9720 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good job. Did you have to shim the drive shaft because it was raised so much and did you or have experienced any drive shaft vibrations since raising the suspension? Just wondering. Cheers and keep up the good work.

    • @CaravanAdventureAus
      @CaravanAdventureAus  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate, yeah had to put a driveshaft spacer in, it had a little vibration and then once I put that in went away completely 👍🏽

    Now for the ARB bullbar and recovery point, a Hayman Reece xbar to tidy up the rear end, some Clearview next gen side mirrors, a Yakama platform rack and perhaps SC Fab Works side steps/sliders?

      @@CaravanAdventureAus yeh, it takes time to get everything you need. A good bullbar next will balance the front end down by 10mm and make it feel even better.

    How do you rate the Dobinsons?
    Any problems with the tail shaft vibrations?

    • @CaravanAdventureAus
      @CaravanAdventureAus  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks mate, dobinsons has been really good so far, super comfortable ride with the extra weight. They have a centre bearing spacer kit to allow for the raised suspension and haven't noticed any vibrations at all. The kit is also adjustable with extra washers.

    Hey guys thanks for the video, I have re watched this because I'm interested in the new Ranger and would like to know if any of the suspension upgrades you have done have only effect on the Ford new car warranty?

    • @CaravanAdventureAus
      @CaravanAdventureAus  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey mate, suspension upgrades only effect the warranty on those specific parts, and unless they can prove that the suspension caused a failure then it effects warranty. They can't say you turbo failed because of a suspension upgrade for example.

    Hi people I am still waiting for my wildtrak V6 and am investigating the Lovells GVM 3505kg and GCM 7005kg I am very interested in the ride change in your rig any thing that stags out in the ride and the handling especially when towing. My thoughts are it is more expensive for the Lovells but it is not twice the price I will get a lot more all round strength.

    • @CaravanAdventureAus
      @CaravanAdventureAus  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think it'll be a great bit of gear but ofcourse it will effect the ride quality too. Something g we are looking into for the future

      Just as a new bit of unconfirmed information, I spoke with the Ford dealership about the GVM / GCM upgrade he told me only Lovells would supply the upgrade I am after. I then said that ford would not cover that under warranty, he said that they actually would cover it under the pre registration rules. I have yet to get a written confirmation.@@CaravanAdventureAus
