Did you figure out what happened with your build? If it wouldn't place it might be too far away from the center. You also have to use thatch ceilings I found that other ceilings don't work. Even on official you should be able to build a boat at least 4 walls high so this should be ok. I hope this helps.
Ooof, this raft build doesn't quite work in ASA because they changed the base walls so they're more cubic than rectangle. Result looks quite stunted in comparison and the default sail unfortunately clips through the floor because walls are higher in ASA. Also couldn't get the foundations to snap in under the thatch ceilings, which I'm guessing is also an ASA thing. This build did give my ideas though. Going to tweak it a bit because I like the basic shape. Kudos!

Sure thing! No you can just replace the piece with the upgraded version. Just build over top of it like you originally wanted to place it there. The wood will be destroyed and you'll get back half the materials.
Yeah depending on your settings they can get pretty long. It's fun to try and come up up with the different designs that will work within the structure limit.
After building this and enjoying it, found i still couldnt solve my logistic problems of crystal ect….so i went and got an Argy…..guess who can fit on this boats bow? Thata right, an Argy. Granted he slightly obscures the view a little but…this gives me an idea for a small Argy carrier.

They won't place on a slope...it either places to the wall or actual stairs. They have to be stairs, not a ramp. I'm unsure if stairs converted into a ramp behave the same way or if s + structures behave differently.
Yes...you just have to use thatch ceilings to place down foundations. All wood can be replaced with stone or even metal or tek! ( Same with Adobe if you're on a map that has that material)
Sometimes the ground underneath affects this. If it's not that then I encountered this problem where it only works if you use a thatch ceiling to extend out then snap the triangle foundation underneath. If this doesn't work you can also try to use a regular foundation and then replace it with a triangle. And if that doesn't work I would take a look at your settings, but I didn't use any special settings for this build. The settings I used are official settings on here.

I do! I usually play whatever new ones release. Alot of times I just play with ny friends or just for myself. Sometimes I can't think of what I would make a video on so I don't bother with it haha. Originally when I made this channel I wanted to put many survival games on here, but since Ark is the bulk of what I play a majority of my subscribers are here just for Ark stuff. I would like to integrate other games moving forward, but I also want to keep people interested. A friend of mine suggested Skull and Bones to me. I'm a huge fan of Assassin's Creed, especially Black Flag and if that any indication of how it'll be its going to be awesome! I play pvp stuff from time to time, but it's usually only with friends since I can't consistently grind on a server to stay on top so I'll go on a binge with friends then drop a game lol...come back and my shit is wrecked 😆
I can try? If I can find the allowed structures I can do something similar or figure out creative mode on mobile haha. I know some of the limits, but I'll have to do some research.
No worries... depends on if you're on pc or console you're either going to hold down "E" or triangle(ps4) button. It's basically just the menu button held down and the option will pop up.

The pillar wont snap with the fence foundation at the very beginning, still a good video though!
It should. Even if it doesn't snap, you just need the pillar to create a point to lower the foundation.

What side of the boat? If foundations don't work you can extend out with ceilings in the preferred material.

They normally just snap underneath. You don't have to do anything different.
