This is not one of the riches cities. The richest ones are Shanghai, Beijing, hk and Shenzhen. I think it’s a city in shangdong province or Henan province. Because of the accent they have.

I just did a random search up, and found like 2-3 things, India had similar rates to the one in the video (some even higher), that's why I feel something is off. But because we're so small in China, you probably won't find much on Gongyi. So whoever made this video wasn't trying to experiment in a better part of China. I researched it again, and I did feel like something was a bit off in the experiment. When I saw other people trying the same experiment, India had similar rates to the one in China. I literally just googled it and done it, and there has to be a reason why they removed the video because their intention is no harm to either country. I'm not sure what went wrong, but this is pretty weird. Also, all of this is limed in Qingdao right?

well guess im just the unlucky one then......#1 At Qingdao i forgot my mobile phone where i left it on floor seating for break...next minute i sudden remembered and walk back is gone already! Kept calling and wouldnt answer my phone. #2 Another time in airport bus to city in Changchun, I left one of the hangbag with some foreign currencies and digital camera.... when i got to the lost property office.. they got my handbag.. but money and digital camera gone! #3 well i think this happened to many people who had the same experiences i had.. my wallet got stolen few times on the local public BUS!!

之前在同一個影片下留過言，當時說的明明是跟兩岸話題毫無關係的評論，卻因為自己台灣人的身分引來一堆對岸的網友還有一個非常沒有禮貌的香港人針對兩岸話題挑臖我，本來想找到這個影片回覆當時因為出國加上工作忙沒有空去回覆的留言，只因那個時候那位非常沒有禮貌的香港人像沒工作沒事幹一樣全天候等在線上似的拼命糾纏我回覆他而我也答應了，但也因為原來的影片持有帳號被TH-cam 封鎖沒法回了。只能說對網路上的口舌之爭真的不用太認真，常常當你為了跟這輩子可能都沒有機會碰到一次的陌生人們爭ㄧ分口舌上的尊嚴，而費了不少時間力氣在這邊狂噴口水狂打鍵盤時，轉眼之間那些你花時間力氣寫了一堆字都能突然憑空消失啊⋯⋯ 想想其實早就已經沒有回覆的必要，尤其是其中一個變態的香港人甚至連『幹xx』這種話都對著我罵，為了這樣的評論去回覆根本就是浪費自己的智商跟生命，況且這個影片本來跟兩岸議題毫無關係，我實在不知道為什麼在這樣的影片下面留觀後感想也能會引來別人的攻擊，這樣事情算在大陸跟台灣之間經常發生的事，希望兩岸的網友能夠學會互相尊重，即便在某些方面再怎麼彼此不認同也不應該任意攻擊對方，真的有本事的話就找能夠當面講的機會去發表自己的看法，不要因為這是網路可以躲在鍵盤後面就隨便宣洩自己的情緒干擾他人。

Kept calling and wouldnt answer my phone. #2 Another time in airport bus to city in Changchun, I left one of the hangbag with some foreign currencies and digital camera.... when i got to the lost property office.. they got my handbag.. but money and digital camera gone! #3 well i think this happened to many people who had the same experiences i had.. my wallet got stolen few times on the local public BUS!!

But to address a few common criticisms.
1) He is not picking the best places in China and comparing with poor places in other countries. Most of his China content is filmed in Qingdao. Qingdao is a very average city in China. It is not even a provincial capital, let alone a first tier Chinese city like Beijing, Shanghai or Shenzhen. He has also filmed in the Chinese countryside.

2) He doesn't JUST portray China positively. There are videos that reflect poorly on Chinese people.

3) Social ethics is a complex issue. I grew up in the UK and lived in both China and the UK. There are ways in which British people are "more civilized" than Chinese people (queuing), but there are also ways in which the Chinese are more civilized (attitudes towards children and the elderly).
4) Raising awareness of poor social standards is not necessarily a bad thing. It helps societies to reflect, change and improve. China in 2020 is already a lot better than 2007, when I last spent quite a lot of time here. Societies can both improve, as China has, or regress, as the UK has over the same time period.
5) He portrays reality for what it is. India and Japan are both historically adversarial towards China. But his videos of Japan accurately portrays the high level of trust, etiquette and honour in Japan, whilst also revealing areas where Indians should seek to improve their society.
6) It is irrational to get butt hurt about reality. Accept it for what it is. Try to improve on a personal level.

To be honest, whether you are poor, in the middle, or rich, you shouldn’t steal. A lot of people is comparing this video to the one about the social experiment in India which seems unfair and is since one is in a more developed area and the other is in a poorer area. Still, it really don’t change a thing. Maybe that is the only place they can film or because it random. I mean, some people in India are shady and some are in China too but I feel like it’s kinda random on who is bad and good. Don’t get me wrong, I feel it’s kinda biased to do two social experiment but one in a poor place and one in a stable place but it’s really on the people. All of you dont know about India saying its unfair Ive been there and multiple of my items were stolen in "rich" areas, malls, etc. Ive traveled to many places and by farrrrr India is the worst in terms of theft.
This isn't fair at all, u dropped your wallet in places where there are people that aren't poor or needy example the mall but in India you dropped your wallet in front of the poor people which results in you losing your wallet. This isn't fair at all, I don't know what can chinese people get by humiliating 1 of their biggest competitors.

失主一般要么及时发现丢了，原路找回，找到丢失地方。要么觉得丢在路上了，没法确定在哪里丢的，以及认为无法找回，懒得回去找的。
而作为捡到的人，如果是在大街上捡到的，要么直接收了，要么看有没有联系方式，找不到联系方式的，除了少数人会送到派出所，大多数直接拿了钱其他就扔了。
如果是在公共场合，店里，要么偷摸拿了，要么给店里吧台，管理人员，失物寻领处，或者派出所等等。
而因为失主有可能直接放弃寻找，失物中又无法找到能联系失主的方式，无法找到失主。
如果要实验，应该是放真钱，物品，在某个地方，远远查看，并在钱包，东西上留下手机号，或者其他联系方式，才能真正查看人性，道德水平。
比如我在钱包里经常带身份证，银行卡，丢了要重办费时间，留下了一张电话号的纸条在钱包里。
还真有一次丢了钱包在饭店里，饭店打电话给我去拿回来了。
