When I had my dog, I took good care of him. I didn't always have the money for the vet, but I let something go to pay the vet. Also, he was a long-haired dog like this one he had to be groomed. I feel bad for people who can't afford a pet for their family. I believe people who have should the money to help should step in and help a family pay for animal care.
I was thinking the same thing, they delt with those scary clippers, the nails, shots etc. but somehow, they knew that they were better off and that things would be much better from now on!
As a retired Animal Cruelty Investigator of 18 years, I can tell you what this young lady has done in grooming an animal in this bad of a condition is a highly skilled endeavor!! It is almost like being a surgeon! U need to know when and where to shave or cut, making sure the blades stay sharp and lubricated. Not letting clippers get hot. Keeping what u have already removed, from pulling on the skin while u continue to finish shaving or cutting what it is still connected to the skin. Along with so much more. This is why when I needed to have a dog in this condition helped, I ALWAYS took them to a groomer. Thank you for what you did for those dogs and so many others, I am sure!!

@nittepetit. I would have to say yes in the way of new laws on the books to protect them better and somewhat in changing people's minds as to realizing they DO have feelings. They feel pain, both physical and emotional. Letting dogs do what they are bred for as it makes them happy and keeps them healthy. Not every dog is a lap dog, BUT they all need PROPER nutrition and medical care. People being held accountable for the damage their animals do to person and property. I say that one because it all comes down to training. If u get a dog because u think it's a status accessory like, let's say, the Argentina DoGo or the Presa canaria. These dogs are hard-headed and should be with someone who has the space and knowledge to train them, PROPERLY. They will hurt or kill someone if not with someone who knows what they are doing. Too many of the protection/ big game hunting breeds end up at shelters and/or euthanize. This also includes really all other breeds as well because no one did the needed research of the breed b4 getting!! Once the newness wears off, they find that they really don't want the hassle. Sorry for the soap box. I have spent many days trying to educate lawmakers on these issues and many other issues. Just ALWAYS remember they become a family member and deserve the same love, care, and respect that any HUMAN in ur family does. So do the breed research and KNOW that they could be with you for 6-16 years.

I want to express my deepest thanks to Lana, groomer and all that were involved with the help of the these two sweet babies God is watching over each of you!!! Thanks to all for your kindness. These babies are beautiful now!!!!!
I can imagine. We have 6 poodles & doodles, 5 of them large & grooming for each of them is a 100+ bucks, certainly can't afford that so we do it ourselves & I know how painstaking it can be if there are areas of some matting on our own dogs which of course is NEVER ever to this extent, But my daughter is a vet-tech so we just go to her clinic & shave them down periodically. ❤
My heart goes out to these beautiful dogs, all they want is to be loved. Dogs are men’s best friend, they are loyal, and great companion. People who abuse dogs or cats should go to jail. Pay the prize for not caring and having hate for these animal.

Because true traumatized dogs don’t act bad or show signs of aggressions. Truly traumatized dogs show signs of fear.. Spoiled mean dogs are the ones that act aggressive and difficult. Huge myth that trauma=aggression.

Uhhh, seeing them in real life was really tough... Especially because we didn't know if they would make it. Lots of fear, mixed feelings... Real struggle. But luckily, in the end, they survived, and they are happy now.❤️🥳
