I appreciate their kindness to people. We don’t always know circumstances but hopefully now they will continue to take care…..the dog loves them!

you are so right. The dog was put back into a neglectful a probably an abusive situation. In America we would report the owners to the police so they could be charged with animal abuse and find a loving home for this traumatized dog. So sad...

I was thinking the same thing. A dog shouldn’t slink down by its owner. You could see in the dogs face it was like he was saying “Did I do ok dad?” He must get hit a lot.

I just watched the video and that dog looks very distrusting of the male owner and was trying to be submissive and was unsure what the man was going to do. I saw the way that dog looked up at that man. It appears, to me, that he has been mistreated and that is why he reacted to you trying to pet his head. It was very wise to have Alek do the entire groom. I figured that you both must have assessed his fear of men. It makes me sad for that to happen but that pup can overcome the fear when in the right family who is willing to work with him. I know because my husband and I adopted a Field Spaniel through the vet hospital I worked for. My dog did have an owner and I called him and he wasn't interested in coming to get her. It took her a year to stop shaking just being around my husband but then he won her over with his kindness and she had a good life with us for 13 years.

God Bless you TG for ppl like you if ppl can’t pay for there dogs to get done learn how to do it yourself like I did I got my own stuff and started doing my dog only because the groomer cut him It was as big as a half dollar under his paw She never told me and it got infected. I was so upset I had to take him to the vet, so I got mad and went and got my own stuff to groom him and learn how to do it and he looks just as good

If you can’t care for a pet, surrender it to another family.
Back in 2002 when I was temporarily working on the Greek island of Zante there are loads of stray dogs, and cats. I often used to see them just like this one in such bad condition. The first day I saw him/her when working in the high mountain area where the chalk cement quarys are. The next day I had off work and brought a tin of dog meat and left it on the road edge where he watched me put it. I could not get near to him/her and it would always shy away, no nearer to me than 30 meters. It used to walk slowly up the steep road edge in the baking hot day with all that long mangled matted fur. I told some animal helpers on the island but I really do not know if they managed to help him. Any that abandon and ill-treat these dependable animals are not right in the head and need putting away to safeguard the creatures.
This is a shame no one has cissers years and years of neglect what these poor dogs have to go through thanks to you great poeple theres help for these forgiveing friends

He is NOT loved by this family. The condition that he was in is unhealthy and so painful for him. I am grateful for your care. It gives him a fighting chance. where I live it is the law to turn people in for abusing their animals like this.

For this family, they did the right thing when they helped the injured dog. They had no idea this dog would have such a long coat. The dog’s tail is wagging.

If you own a Puli, you have to split the cords every other day, and sometimes every day. And they need to be professionally groomed regularly. Otherwise, this happens. They are too high maintenance for the average owner. It's good that they saved him, but they needed to give him up to somebody who could care for him properly.
Compassion and empathy is what you gave this dog. God bless you.

So... the way he was wagging his tail, it didn't seem like happy or in a good mood one. That was more like short and fast wagging tail, which could mean mostly 'I'm stressed, anxious and if I have to, I'll bite you'. I just wanted to tell you that not all wagging tail means they are liking it. Thank you for the great video. You guys are awesome!

I watched another one and the groomer was so rouch on the dog they had to put a c-collar on him so it would not bite them. You have this gift from God. God will bless you for every animal you help. What I don't understand is, if the owners didn't have the money for a professional groomer, why didn't the just learn to do it them self🤔
My previous dog was a newfoundlander that I needed to groom every week and a couple of time every year I had to trim her fur under the belly, on her legs and paws.
And my current dog is a poodle/coton de tulear mix that needs to get a full body trim every 6 to 8 weeks depending on the season.
I don't have the money for a professional groomer my self so I have learned to do it my self even though my back is killing me for several days (got screws in my lower back after a car accident).
I loved my previous and my current dog too much to let them end up like the poor boy in the video because of my physical health and financial issues😉
Thank you for the wonderful work you do and the kindness you show to dogs and to people. Thank you very much, too, for sharing the story of the owners and how he came to be like this.
It’s so easy to shame folks but I don’t think that helps the animals in the end. I’m sure some of the owners you help are indeed not worried about the condition of their dog, but I bet that many have a similar story to this one. They could have passed by the injured pup, or they could have picked him up and taken him the vet but not chosen to help him because they didn’t have the money. And biggest of all is that they considered finding him a home that had more resources to care for him. That’s a very hard thing to consider - that the best thing you might do for someone you love is to place him elsewhere.
If we suddenly had no money and were forced to give up our pets I think it might tear us up. God bless you for helping not just the pups but the people. And for maybe making good dog owners out of folks who were indifferent or unthinking
