I'm 69 yrs. old and grew up on a farm, POOR. Most of the time when I caught perch, I just scaled them and gutted it. It all went into the frying pan... That was our supper that night! Mom always had a glass of Apple Cider Vinegar on the table in case someone accidentally swallowed a "pin bone". You learned how to flake the flesh off the bone very early in life. NOTE, Vinegar will dissolved boned in your throat!!!
Ohhhh wow!! Learn something new every day, I never knew that vinegar will dissolve pin bones like that!! When you said your mom would always have Apple Cider Vinegar on the table I thought why?!?!? Lol thank you for sharing this I am sure I am not the only person that didn't know that!!!!👍🏻👍🏻

This was awesome to watch!! It brought back a ton of memories with my son we would do competitions like this all the time and it was a blast!! I miss doing them so much!! When I was in Alaska and went fishing, my husband put a little rubber cricket on my 10 lb test line. Me, not knowing how to fish, didn't think any thing of it. He figured that I wouldn't catch any thing! I caught a 24 lb salmon within the first ten minutes! By the end of the weekend I was being called the cricket lady! Oh, and he didn't catch anything! I love fishing now!

I love your videos. But I found a tear running down my face tonight. I have homesteaded for almost 30 years. I taught my son how to butcher a chicken and grow fruit and vegetables. But I had no idea how to teach him how to catch fish. I took him out to different places at least two dozen times and we never caught any fish. My son really wanted to catch fish. I went to the youth hunting certificate classes with my son we got our certificates. But I really had no idea how to hunt. I feel my son missed out on so much. You are such a good father to your children. I wish I knew someone like you that could teach my son. He is 29 years old now. It's too late for us to have that bond.
