@ArmsFamilyHomestead Daniel... while I love watching your whole family and all the animals I just have to say there is something soooo special about watcing the time you spend with Houston (and Jacobi). You guys have a very special bond. Houston is so happy and well grounded/behaved. It's obvious that there is probably no place he'd rather be if not hanging with you. You have amazing patience and calm in all that you do and I love how you take the time to incorporate teaching moments into everything. These are such special times and everything you are doing now is going to be part of his foundation as a father down the road. The memories you are creating with him are going to be shared for generations to come! I tear up almost every time I watch you two.

You bring back such wonderful memories of my summers on the lake and River with my Dad. An upside of my Dad’s law enforcement career were shifts and hours we spent together.
The long perch @22:40 is what we call a Michael fish, when I was younger my brother Michael seemed to always catch them where they were a little bigger than what you caught.

Ftrr church onba Sunday morning, I'd rather watch families spending time together and animal videos than anything else. Thanks for all the fun family videos! Love watching the improvements you've done over the years and the fact that you spend more time with your kiddos than probably half the dad's in the US is pretty awesome. Most kiddos can't say they fish with their dad on a summer afternoon where you get to see the aftermath of a flood. Happy trails and safe travels through the creek n woods yall!

I love that he’s a rock hound. I used to haul crystals back to Texas when I was a child. We always camped at Lake Ouachita even though we had beautiful lakes in Texas. Best memories ever.

I absolutely LOVE the life your kids live as well as you and DeJay. A lot the way our kids was raised , ours was cows, hay field on red river. HD a creek on one side of our house and pool on other or what some call small lake. My husband and I was raised in different counties but both on Red River too. An education like no other. Way to go Arms Family.

I think it would be really fun as a project to document stuff like this and population and compare it over a few years. It should give quite an insight to the health of the creek and surrounding areas as well.

Fun video… that reminds of my summers as a kid playing in the creek. As a youngster I wrote to various state game and fish and they would send you all kinds of information on native fish. Not sure if they still do that. Really like seeing the different species. I did feel sorry for the gar but it is the whole circle of life thing and I’m really happy you gave it a chance. Thanks for sharing

If you want to be able to see what's below the water's surface you need to get a polarizing filter. It takes two stops, but when you're shooting in the sun you've got the exposure latitude. They are a little pricy, but well worth it. It will also increase your color saturation and contrast on large scenics.
