Wow, this was an awesome video - I would have loved to have walked through all of that. I have to say though, the spider thing is creepy LOL. What if you would have walked up on the people who put it there - holy hell - LOL -creepy cool!
Coke was also the by product from the production of "Town gas" the heating of the coal as you describe and using the gas as we do today with "natural gas"cookers and appliances had to be adapted or made from new back in the 60s UK
It looks like someone is/was using the old railway spur lime to dump excavation and building rubble and then at 13:00 where the doors are it looks like someone has been dumping rubbish illegally down a ventilation shaft, not a collapse.

Yeah, any water leak, no matter how small it is would eventually flood up the tunnel because of the enormous pressures it endures being submerged like that.
Then buy proper leather hiking boots or a pair of oiled leather Timberland,Instead of buying all that pretty trendy crapp you wear out to the pub or club looking trendy and worrying about "ruining" them,I had polish boots originally cheap, tough and water resistant

The shortest way is to walk along the shore (approx 800 m or 2600 ft).

Awesome tunnel - they should clean it out, spray it white inside, put electric lights in there and charge tourists for passing through - $$$!
