I think also will depends on how dense your tank is. I just bought this one yesterday and i used one pump for my ten gallons. Basically i will check the changes in a week. I also have the diyco2 on my tank.
Yes of course, every tank is different that's why in the video I say start with that dosage and then either cut back or dose more depending on how your plants respond
I'm thinking of using this brand coming from Seachem. But I don't understand, I did the math a little and it's telling me to pump at least 15?! I have a low-tech plant in my 65 gal. Alternatively, do I just dose it 2-3 times daily?
Hi, how is about K ratio of tropica to Ca and Mg in mineralized RO water for water changes? (35CA 9MG) the ratio will be wrong. Do you use tap water or mineralized RO? Cheers.
Could you please guide me on the necessary water parameters to get red plants red..... The tests that need to be taken... And how to dose fertilizer... My tank is a 3ft in L , 2ft in H and 1.5ft in B ... using chihiros A901+ light for 6 hrs... CO2 at 3-4bps starting 2hr before light gets on and 1hr before light gets off.... I use tropica Specialised Nutrition and dosing 2ml a day.. instead of doing a weekly once dosing... I do 50% water change a week... Using RO water and use salts to remineralize it ... despite this.. my rotala red is only having a pale red... Only on the underside of the leaf.. Should I stop using tropica and go for macros and micros ferts... Ur guidance will be really helpful
Why don't you try seachem Nitrogen phosphorous potassium iron and trace 5 bottles You will get control over each element and can increase our decrease as per the need separately?
Hi JJ..... I have bought a btl of Tropica Specialised Nutrition. I am confused about the storage information on the bottle, it says 5-25 deg C. My room temperature always is 28-33 deg C as I live in India. Is it recommended to keep the btl in the refrigerator? Or will it loose its potential if its kept outside at my Temperature.
Tropica is a all in one and you only get a little bit of each nutrient, versus dosing all separate which will give you way better growth, and tropica will cause you a lot of algae if you don't get everything balanced, still a good fert, one of the best on the market, just not my taste, and ada is more lean so less algae and I've gotten better color out of ada
Or if you have large stock of fish, then you wont need that extra N and P , and probably should stick to tropica premium nutrition, instead of specialized.
Mine is 80L tank, have good amount of plants, I was using 1 pump a day, plants growth is excellent... But then I got algae problem... Not understanding where I went wrong.. I do change water 40% once a week...
Which Tropica fertilizer you use, Premium or Specialized ? If you have in tank many fish then Tropica suggest Premium without phospor and nitrogen because you get them from fish
Hi! I just started a 17.6 gallon (aqua japan square tank) just under 3 days ago and bought only this fertilizer for a medium plated tank (only have mini dwarf hair grass, monte carlos , and alternanthera Reineckii mini). I have started dosing only one pump a day and was wondering if this is too much or too little? On that note, I was also wondering if this is the only type if fertilizer that I would need, or do I need something else to also support the plant growth?
No tropica is a all in one and will be all they need, but how much to dose depends on every setup, if plants look good and no algae keep what your doing if plants look pale or yellow then dose more
Hey bro, I keep seeing that the green bottle is used for “heavy planted and low fish stock” aquariums and for the orange bottle it’s “high fish stock and low plants”. So that confused me, what’s considered low fish stock? I got 7 fish 5 guppies and 2 otocinclus, and 4 shrimp but unfortunately small tank (23l/5 gal) it’s not great but saving up to upgrade soon. But besides that, since I have a small talk is it considered high or low fish stock? I have my aquarium covered in plants, maybe like 8 different types of plants. Thanks😄
There's different types of fertilizer, lean means the fert is way diluted so less nutrients, so it's giving your plants just enough and that helps so less algae happens and will give you slower growth so less trimming, the fert I use is ADA
Thank you so much for this video! Explained clearly and i'm gonna switch to daily dosing.

Heavily planted 2-3 times per day, but low plants level only needs 1 pump a day for 65 gallon.

Dosing macros and micros separate will definitely make a difference and having low TDS of around 120 and low nitrates

It definitely will if you overdose or if you don't dose accordingly to your setup

Don't pump daily. After 50% water change that time u can pump dose .1 pump is enough.
Daily u can 25% remove water and then add new Ro water.

Yes but only does about half the amount or you'll get algae like crazy
