    Dosing it everyday seems to me too much. Sounds like a marketing gimmick making you buy this stuff constantly.

    • @jjaquariums
      @jjaquariums  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope it's bc it's a leaner fertilizer so it requires to be dosed daily which is also better for the plants, it's made to pair with Amaziona soil with how rich the soil is

    Hey JJ. In the manuals for each of these brighty series fertilizers, ADA mentions that its acceptable to double or triple the standard dose according to plant mass. Is that something you do or do you more or less stick to 1 pump per 20L throughout the tank's life cycle? Thanks.

    • @jjaquariums
      @jjaquariums  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes but if you pair with ada soil I would start with a normal dose rate

    Hi, I've been using them for 2 weeks and it works really well! I just have one question please. From how long do you fertilize? I use automatic fertilizer pumps. I put the fertilizers on at 8:00 a.m. when my lights start to come on...is this ideal? or do I have to wait 1 hour later for example? Thanks

    • @jjaquariums
      @jjaquariums  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope that's good as long as it's consistent

  • @timbloodworth

    For a 60p you would do 5 pumps of Ada fertilizer

    would love to see a video on how you know what to dose, are you doing tests to know which one you need to dose more or less of or watching the plants and know what to look for to cut back or increase on e or another. seems like someone like me might as well mix them up and dose it as an all in one.

    • @jjaquariums
      @jjaquariums  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can get individual test kits but I've done it long enough, I can just look at the plants and know what I need more or less of but that would still make a good video thanks

    Hey JJ, how strong is the buffering effect of the green brighty K? I am wondering if you would use that or the neutral K for RO water in a scape with rocks that affect water chemistry like seiryu. Thanks! I purchased the buffering kind then realized maybe I should have got the neutral because of the rocks I used.

    • @jjaquariums
      @jjaquariums  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could and that's what ada kinda says to do but everyone just doses all from the beginning the only reason ada says not to is even your using new amazionia which has a lot of iron and nitrogen so just prevents you from having a big algae outbreak at first

    • @jjaquariums
      @jjaquariums  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you have to dose it daily or you might as well not use it, it's super lean, and on a 90P it last maybe a month, but I buy the 500ml bottles which do a year

  • @Outlander929
    @Outlander929 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Johnny, I have been using the ADA fertilizers for my bucephalandra tank. It's only a two foot/60L tank with Contro Soil substrate, CO2 and a Chihiros Vivid ii light running at 40% power. Everything started off well with nice steady growth until recently when the plant leaves started to grow smaller with curled edges. They look like they haven't opened fully. I've noticed a general drop in color also. I've increased GH using Seachem's Equilibrium as I read the problem could be caused by a calcium deficiency, however no noticeable improvement on new growth after 3 weeks. All ferts are dosed according to the recommended amount on the bottle (1ml/20L per day). The tank has 40L of water (the remaining volume is taken up by hardscape), so two pumps each of N, P, K, iron and minerals are dosed daily. The plants are obviously lacking something and I'm kind of leaning towards a lack of nitrogen now. 70% of the substrate is covered with plants. I'd be really interested to hear what you would do to combat this problem or any advice you have to rectify this. Thank you : )

    • @jjaquariums
      @jjaquariums  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even if the hardscape takes up volume still dose to your tank size, ada is very lean so your more likely just not getting enough
