Helicopter footage shows catastrophic flooding in counties across western North Carolina and parts of Tennessee. Areas look like oceans littered with homes, cars, and trees, worse than any flooding I've seen in my lifetime.
🙏🙏 my stepsons lost relatives in Soperton Ga, Cousins,in Wheeler County 3 adults and 1 child. Their Grandmothers trailer was hit,Oldest brothers Dads home destroyed.We live in East Dublin,Ga. Prayers for all families affected by Hurricane Helene! Many have lost food that didnt have a generator. Many without power still,as we are too. Thank you for all the Linemen,Power Companies,EMTS,Law Enforcement for what they are doing to restore power. Prayers for all the families that have had lives taken !

Thank God my house was not hit by fallen trees & Thank God for awesome neighbors who checked in on us and others in my neighborhood. Widespread catastrophic damage to grid. More crews from Ohio and Fla arriving tonight to help." The people in western Carolinas are panicking driving to Hartwell Georgia to find gas and food. Grocery stores that could open and take cash ran out of everything including canned goods! This is serious folks!!

My objection to calling it a little hurricane is about us getting proper help with the recovery. It’s was not a little hurricane. It was a catastrophic major hurricane with many deaths. 🥲
