Never had Attieke before. Is it similar in taste to gaari? Regarding the green sauce, I tried your recipe before and OMG! It was already good after blending...so good that I wanted to stop right there but I heated it through as you suggested and 😮 😮 😮 . The flavor was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!! For anyone watching for the first time, Nanaaba is THE TRUTH! No need to wonder if you should try her recipes. I’ve tried several and it NEVER FAILS to deliver👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Hey dear Grace! Great to see you! Yes, it is similar to gari in taste and texture, slightly more moist as Debby Z explained 🙏🏾 thank you so much for testifying on that amazing green chili sauce👌🏾 it is something else ❤️
My husband is Ivorian and I Black American he introduced me to this Attieke and it’s yummy 😋 definitely will have to try this from scratch and impress him. Thank you!
I am a Nigerian and I tested attiki on one of my vacation in Ivory coast ever since then I fell in love with the food😍 sooo delicious 😋. Thank you ma'am for this great tutorial,i bet am trying this out❤️❤️
One thing I love about you, you really do your research when it comes to the various dishes that may not be so common in Ghana, so other (West) African dishes. You are a true cook full of scientific facts and deep knowledge. I come out watching your videos not only having learnt a thing or two in English grammar 😂 but also with a full on understanding of the ingredients used and related facts. It sure sets you apart, so thank you so much for sharing your amazing dishes with us! 🥰❤️☺️
That's so true. I learned from her to put in a pan of water in the oven while baking bread to make it moist and it has been superb since I started doing that. Thanks Nanaba
I've got hundreds of cassava trees growing in the gaps between baby fruit trees. Was getting bored cooking them like potatoes, attieke might be the winner ✌️

Wow I just made a similar video last week! I also used sea bass! But I used the pre-made Attieke so am here to learn the real deal because I love it so much🥰. By the way am Gambian, married to a Nigerian and living in the USA. I love all African food
Nanaaba's Kitchen yes sis a Lot of people assume I am Ghanaian because of my name 🤣. Mansa is my middle name and it is a mandinka word derives from the ancient Mali Empire meaning king/ruler/conqueror. It was the title of the rulers such as the Famous Mansa Musa.
the first time i saw it in mali it's look streng to me but the day i try it oooo my God, i love it so so much i can't wait to eat it again, thanks Madam
Woow! I grew with my grandmother in Jamaica where did everything the ole fashioned way, we grater the sweet cassava and put in a special kind of bag and made a layer where the cassava in the bag would under or between the wood and we would leave out to squeeze out the liquid and dry in the sun all day until it became dry and then we sieve it and lay on a very hot pan and bake it on wood fire that's what we call bammy! And we have it with fry fish too or any meat of choice!! Bring back memories.
Good evening lovely lady. I just enjoy everything you do. Attieke is my favorite cereal and will definitely try it soon. How is the frozen cassava different from the fresh which i can get easily.
Hi sister I love your drying basket. I’m writing it in my list of things to get back home. Love your Chanel I learned so much form making thing through nature.

So wonderful. I feel like fly to Nzema in Ghana and Ivory Coast now for one The version in Nzema in Ghana is reddish colour. I think is cooked with palm oil. Try cooking that one day.
Greetings I wonder if you are talking about the cassava used cause from what I know as a Jamaican there are two different type of cassava sweet cassava and bitter cassava, and they both are in white tuber and yellow tuber the sweet one that we cook like yam and there are white tuber and yellow tuber same goes for the bitter one that carries more starch and that's the one we used to make bammy and bammy bread
My eloquent and intelligent master chef. You sure do know your stuff sis. Perfectly executed. This is super delicious and u make it look sooo easy. You are the best....hands down. Thank u my very eloquent and elegant master chef. #NUMBERONEFAN
It seems everyone in the comment section is saying its an ivorian food. Well its a ghanaian delicacy as well. It's a tribal food of the nzemas' in Ghana. The nzema people are also located in Ivory coast as well who are popularly know in as Apollonians(Apollo people). Akyɛkɛ( which is the correct spelling)is a more popular food in ivory Coasy as compared to Ghana. But just in case someone says its an ivorian food and not Ghanaian. Well news flash its both. All the same its one of the best food ever.
Had it with fish and Aloko when I visited Côte D'ivoire and it was delicious. Cannot use Nigerian cassava straight away though because I think ours needs extra processing to avoid poisoning.
That’s nice I just tried it for the first time and I am trying to figure out how to make it at home. I guess the apple cider vinegar will do me good 👍 I want the easy way
