you are precious, thank you for making this video! I wanted to find a bobble head kodama but diy is so much better! I appreciate all of the thought and experimentation you put into this 💖 you're a gem
I absolutely adore this DIY! I can't wait to try this myself. One thing though, with using nail polish, if someone decides to use polymer clay, the polish will make the surface sticky over time. I had to learn that the hard way. I also wanted to add that mod poge mixed with a good glow powder would be a great option as well.
this is such a cute idea! i've had some polymer clay sitting around for awhile and i had no clue what to make... until now! thank you for making this tutorial and for sharing it with us. :)
Thanks for the awesome DIY tutorial! So easy to follow and is a smart way of using household items - most of the stuff I already had in my house! Made this as a gift for my dad’s birthday and he loves it :)
Randomona: "You can use a file or sandpaper to make it even smoother..." Zimtblut (still half asleep) *hears*: You can use a vile centipede to make it even smoother. Zimtblut: *leaves chat* 😅
THIS IS AMAZING! KEEP IT UP! YOUR SO TALENTED! Honestly... this is a wonderful tutorial, and you deserve a way more support! Leave all the thanks to you! Thank you! I will make a little kodama myself! As being a huge Studio Ghibli and Princess Mononoke fan! Again! Thank you! 💖💖💖
@@Randomona Your always welcome! And of course! I’d love to make one! Hehe, put honestly! You should really thank yourself! You deserve pat on the back! Keep up the great work! 😊👍
Great job! I believe that forging the clay to the point of the ceramics will make a sound much more clacky. But in this case we've got to use the metal as the filling of the head, and it's not clear to me yet - how to connect this forged ceramic head to the plastic spring afterwards.
And I meant it. The vid is very informative, and your voice is very kind. The subject of the video is not in my interests, but I watched it anyway. Thank you :)
Thank you! :) I haven't tried it, because I'm worried that the air dry clay will soften again outside.. But maybe with enough coats of paint or varnish it's fine?
My experiences with air dry clay is that it softens, even with multiple layers of vanish, and this project even planed to leave a hole (neck part) so I dont think it will hold, I am sorry. Maybe you could try it with metall wire instead of plastic in the middle and polymer clay? I am also thinking about something similar :)
Hi😍💜 it's so helpful and amazing .but i have some questions.your nail polis has glow?or not? And i have glow.in.the.dark can i mix it with normal nail polish or warnish ? Thank you for your help😍
Hi 🥰 I'm really glad you like it! Yes the nail polish I used glows in the dark. You mean you have glow in the dark paint? I don't think you can mix the paint with nail polish.. But you can just use the paint - it may just be less pigmented than nail polish. Hope that helps!
@@Randomona oh tnx. But i have powder i doesn't know i can mix it whit normal nail polish or not. Can you help me that how can i use it for my figures. it's glow.in.the.dark powder of filo brand 😍 thank you for your help💜
Oh that's cool! I believe you can even mix the powder into your clay. And I think you could mix it with nail polish, but the texture may be affected. I recommend doing small experiments to test it :) Unfortunately I don't have the powder, so I'm not very sure.
If I had to make it again, I would definitely try it out 😉 I have glow in the dark clay, but only the kind that you need to bake (which wouldn't work with the straws)
@@Randomona yeah, heat and plastic are not made for each other 😂 There are probably other ways of making the heads rattle...like metal bottle caps, wooden beads and metal springs^^ You can revisit that project and upgrade it, to show improvement^^
That "pain in the butt"-joka haha. This looks great as usual! You are so creative! And incredibly kind to share with us!

I love the little kodama so cool! its so true I naturally think they would glow.

That's interesting, thanks for the advice :) I also think that using glow in the dark powder will probably work better!
I've been looking for a moving kodama for so long, I can't wait to try making this for a friend who absolutely loves them!
Awesome! It's cool that you want to give it a try 😉 Happy crafting!
Super cute, clever mechanism and a great result! Much more authentic to the film.

HOLY CRAP YOU ARE A GENIUS!!
The plastic bottle caps make a better sound in my opinion
Aw thank you 😆 Yeah I think because they are bigger they make a more hollow sound :) but also means the head gets bigger 🙂
currently giving this a try with wat I have at hand. Love this kind of content
I'm glad you're giving it a go! 😄
Wonderful video - thank you so much for posting

do you need special clay for this? like can you use air dry or any brands that you recommend??

How Kodama appear as Jo Chi is because the older tree becomes the more it gets haunted, and then the Kodama starter, you know

No one was hurt during making this video .... proceed to throw poor Kodama violently 😢👻👻👻👻👻
Don't worry, the Kodama was a trained stuntman 😆
😍😮
What if you have no straws😢
You could maybe roll up a strong plastic sheet and tape it together?
You could also use hot glue to make sure it doesn't open up.
You’re forest must be Very healthy!
Haha, yes it attracts all kinds of creatures!
