Lady Ethereal: The Sol of healing and benevolence, was a goddess of dreams. In her years, she created virtual simulations and assisted Yi with the Eternal Cauldron in order to give citizens a peaceful slumber without fear nor worry. Tests were successful, at first, but unfortunately.......it became too successful. Those it was tested on wouldn't wake up from their dreams.....and instead suffer death upon a coma of nightmares. Even Xiaohe. Of course, the simulation was never intended to harm anyone. Lady Ethereal never wanted to hurt them nor make them suffer. But knowing she was responsible, she would forever feel guilt for her mistake. She would torture herself, blame herself, trap herself in her own nightmare, for she felt she never deserved forgiveness. Years of trauma and despair laid upon the poor goddess. Insanity and sadness corrupted her mind, creating images of her dead test subjects, blaming her for killing them. She deserves the mercy to rest and be free....but in order to, she must accept her sorrows and move on.
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." All she wanted to do was help others rest and dream peacefully. Wish there was a less painful way to save her.

When they woke up they wanted to go back and sleep for eternity. So much so they believed that they were in a living nightmare when they woke up and would do anything to go back. Even off themselves. She and everyone else who knew hid this fact, but the regret ate away at her until her soul gem transformed when she went inside the machine she wished for.

All because one boss just HAD to be so difficult it feels harder than any endboss ive ever encountered in any game previously. Really making me want to just get a refund a this point.
Relax, it's tricky at first but every single move has a simple solution to it.
I'd recommend just going through first or second phase without attacking, just observing what she does and looking for a strike opening.
Third phase only has one or two new attacks but the rest plays the same from her other phases.
@@KaitoMajima sometimes I die in phase one. When I do phase one without getting hit (rare) she sometimes kills me in the first seconds of phase 2. I have never gotten her to phase 3, and the randomness of the ghosts is infuriating... It's not like there is any pattern... Sometimes it's the first one... Sometimes I hit literally 10 ghosts in a row without a single real one. It's exhausting... I'm doing zero damage just attempting to even find her. It feels beyond stupidly hard. I signed up for a metroidvania... Not a get beat by a boss for 3+ hours many days in a row... I'm spent. I'm not having fun. This just feels painful and miserable ... I'm not feeling progress... It's not getting better every run... Often it feels worse. Sometimes a LOT worse... The fact that there is even a third phase makes me feel physically ill. I hate this.
@@KaitoMajima I really just want a way to swap to story and then swap back but nope they had to fuck me... You either fucking hate the game and uninstall... Or you give in and swap to story mode and the game loses all interest entirely and you uninstall. It's a bad choice... I should not have to make this choice.
@@KaitoMajima I played story mode on another save and it's stupid as hell. No damage... It's like the developer couldn't do a normal and hard. ... He had to do... You can't die mode and stab yourself in the eyes repeatedly mode. ... There is no normal mode... I just want a normal difficulty game... I don't play games on hard mode. But I also don't enjoy any game with God mode on... Why make me make this choice... It feels really awful.
It has sound to indicate an incoming attack, 2nd phase is not that hard, just need to master parrying which i learn a lot from sea of stars game.
Is this game about as hard as blasphemous?
I'm not sure since I haven't played Blasphemous myself... But in my experience, the platforming is not particularly difficult or anything...The battles that are. And when it comes to battles, they are in the same level of difficulty as Sekiro, and for the last boss personally I would rate it as even more difficult than Sekiro's final boss.
Blasphemous is easy compared to this game
I hate this boss. Never played more unfair BS
