I like the bola tip, it's hard for me as a beginner to deal with them.

Beginner Tips:
1. Do NOT light your campfires/torches at night. This will give you away faster than you can put food in that campfire and boom your dead. Cook food in the daytime and inside your base. Be as inconspicuous as possible.
2. Double layer your walls. There are many videos on how to do this.
3. Keep important dinos on passive and in a separate dino pen from your workshop. (This will give them a better chance of surviving during a raid.)
4. Paint your base when on mobile, or really any platform. Preferably to match your environment. This will make it more difficult for players to see inside of your base and will help stop them from glitching their way in.

Hey, I also have to stress TURRETS, turrets will probably give your base away, however people can knockout glitch thru walls so no amount of walls matters.

Don't build until you can build stone.. thatch and wood can easily be broken into. Better off with just a few small hidden camps made of sleeping bag, storage box, mortar and pestle, and a camp fire. Hide a few of these simple camps around until you can build stone.

One time a raptor spawned inside my house, I was just like wow, it destroyed everything inside, eventually broke out and then a theriznosaur came outta nowhere and killed me 😅

2 tips
If you’re medium player play brutal- casual or hard-casual. I only get asc stuff from cave running but do the poison cave for asc riot gear.
Tip 2 collect supply drops, explorer notes
And ant form of loot. Most carnivores will drop ok loot.

“Don’t get too attached to stuff” boy howdy do I have a sad story.
A friend and I had been playing on a PVE server for a few months. We had run into some really great people and had been able to build up really fast. We quickly outgrew our original base and needed to move. Being the reckless dumbass I am, I suggested we moved to a lovely and secluded spot, no neighbors, sandy beaches, and a killer view. The Dead Island. No, you didn’t read that wrong, yes, it’s the carnivore infested island in the northeast corner of the map.
With stone battlements and turrets, we were able to build a bigger base. It was surprisingly secure, any hostile creatures being shot down within a few meters of our base. We were cocky and confident, feeling untouchable. And we kinda were. We couldn’t be touched by carnos, rexes, argys, even titanasaurs couldn’t breach our defenses.
Until one terrible day. A Titan spawned next to our barn. It got stuck on some rocks, glitched into the building, and woke our megs. The living sirens. Every single tame on the island swarmed to attack the Titan, battering its legs with all their might. It started to stomp angrily, and within seconds, a dozen tames were crushed. It all happened so fast, I couldn’t even call for help.
We lost all of our spinos, six argys, four wolves, two horses, and my unicorn. It was truly devastating to see our hard work be wiped out in mere seconds, and both my friend and I shed some tears over the lost zeroes and ones. Thankfully, a lot of people on the server came together to help out. Their generosity was so amazing, we owe them so much.
So yeah, don’t get emotionally attached to your dinos. Freak accidents happen :|
Lol yep even pve can be rough at times. Those titans are pesky beasts. I will say... in pve, keep everything on passive, and try to keep turrets only where needed. As soon as you have anything damage a wild dino, that dino can then damage your stuff. If you had nothing would attack the titan, it wouldn't have done any damage. Hope this helps!

Haha definitely! In all seriousness though, a lot of beginners don't know about putting on wander and whistling stop, so they just put a male and female together and expect the next egg the female drops to be fertilized.

I used to play ark on ps4, but i dont have much time to play any more, so I play mobile now. Thing is I didnt know how to get fertilized eggs, but this video helped alot. Tnx

Just throwing this out there as well, instead of continually whistling stop command when breeding and things on wander. Just fill their inventory with stone and weigh them down 😊
That only really is beneficial if you have a huge breeding area set up with tons of ACs. Otherwise, you still have to wait for the egg to be dropped so you can grab it before it dies. Might as well just whistle if you have to wait anyways right? Also, I'm not sure if that works on mobile anyways? I know at one point it didn't, but idk about now.

If your new. Tame a pack of Dilos. They are easy to get. They blind players. And in a pack. They are even more dangerous

If they pick you up shot them as much as people with the asc shotgun you get from pursuits or anything powerful until they drop you then use the parachute
If their tame is too strong though, use grapples ;)

you can also use fertilized eggs to make kibble, for example at low levels and if you have a female dodo or dilo but they don´t seem to be droping any eggs you can get a male then get them to mate and you can start getting eggs for the kibble, or get 2 females (or as many as you want, and I recomend them to be low level) and 1 male, that way you´ll 100% get their eggs whenever you want, but you´ll have to wait for the females to be ready to mate again.
Good advice! The fertilized eggs will actually make stronger kibble too - super kibble or something like that. Usually though, it doesn't make a difference since most players use balms. Good tip though nonetheless!
@@DarksmithYT I know it’s always better to use balm, but for begginers is really usefull if you aren’t ready to go get the artifacts to then get some

This is really late but im new and i dont reall understand im level 20 and i get most things but im kind of curious if i can get other maps or when ill get more dinos so could you tell me?? great video by the way!
Right now mobile only has the one map. If you're only level 20 right now, there will probably still be more creatures you haven't seen before, but no official news has been released regarding new creatures in the game, but there of course will be eventually

any advice for trying to build a ramp up a cliff? i’ve been trying for weeks and have been struggling, but can’t find any help for the mobile version
It's difficult because of height limitations. Some areas it's just not possible. Try something smaller, and then work your way up to a big one. As you learn the different structure limits, you'll be able to tell if something is possible or not.

(15:20) Question about the eggs! You use eggs to make kibble!
Does the eggs you use have to be fertilized to make the kibble?
They do not need to be fertilized. Any egg will work for kibble. However, fertilized eggs will make the kibble stronger, but the difference is rarely worth using the fertilized egg, especially with balms.
Do bolas work on bronto? Because I thought it was on only damage to any dinosaurs like Rex and giga

im mid game and i want to get my first artifact without hopping of my mount to get in the artifact room of the south cave,there are 2 entrances and my question is:can sabertooths get in the artifact room through the small gap or the a bit bigger gap?dire wolves can get through the small gap and i just wanna know cause im planning on taming a sabertooth
Tbh I don't remember off the top of my head, but I do know that Sabertooths are the same size as wolves, so if the wolf fits, the sabers will too!

Gonna mention that in 10 tips and tricks for advanced players ;)
you can knock out a pteranodon (even a high lvl one) with a slingshot.
make sure it hits the head. on higher level pteranodons you may have to use a second bola especially if some of your shots don't hit the head. no tranq arrows ever needed for pteranodons.
Tranq arrows are just easy to get though, and pteras only take 1-2 in the head. Bolas are also difficult to reapply cuz there's a timer. So youd have to let it fly away and catch it again.
@@DarksmithYT I've only had a pteranodon get away once and that was because I disconnected. tranquilizer arrows are pretty difficult to get compared to a slingshot and bola. they're not a guaranteed drop from cave dinosaurs and aggressive carnivores so you may have to end up killing dozens, while with a slingshot and bola the most advanced ingredient you need is hide. 3-4 dodos and you have enough hide to knock out a mid-high level pteranodon
@@AdmiralTetanus crafting 1 narcotic is almost the same time it takes to kill 4 dodos and getting rocks wood and thatch 1 stone arrow takes like 2 seconds to craft without already having the resources and getting tranqs from dinos is around level 20-35, but thats if youre new or bad if youre decent, 15-35, if youre good, as soon as you are able to craft a bow and arrows
@@ultima964e I can kill 4 dodos at level 1; however, I cannot craft narcotics at level 1. As soon as you get the spear engram you can easily kill spiders and scorpions by walking backwards and thrusting, but by the time I've entered the cave and arrived at the bugs I could have already knocked out a bird and started collecting ingredients for dodo kibble
@@AdmiralTetanus tranq arrows are easy to get. Just kill a bunch of animals. Let the meat rot. Pick narco berries. Mix in mortar and pestel. Then apply the narco to arrows... easy

I'm between beginner and intermediate (I have tamed one dilo) and I have basic clothes, one set of scuba diving gear and basic weapons like spears and axes

No... You put it around ac units. Once you have the fertilized egg, you just need to incubate it through using ac units or avid temperature control with fires.

Hello what map is this video made on im on this map but have no clue where what is just would like to know where i can find crystal and metal nodes
This is the island - the only map for Ark Mobile. Generally, metal is on every mountain, at the bottom and around it.
@@DarksmithYT the island you say i know the island from pc so if its the same then i know where to go and what to do the map rendering for me is a small bit compact so the place i spawned at was difficult to recognize but thanks alot

Anyone else have this weird thing when you get one of your flyers to follow you, and when you whistle for it to stop it either doesn't stop following you (it even tells you that the command was ignored) or it stops following you but doesn't land? I've got a tapejara and a pteranadon just suspended about 20 feet in the air at my base. I can jump off my base roof and be able to get close enough to hop on them, but even when I do I'll land them and as soon as I hop off they fly right back to the same spot. Only way I've found to keep them on the ground is over encumber them once they land, but as soon as I clear their inventory they fly right back
Sounds like it's glitched. Try chronicling it and unchronicling it. Or maybe kill it and revive it.
It is following another dino . Find that dine ride it and whistle stop all . This will fix it .

My question is, where to find Trilobites. I had heard that they're present on beachs and coastlines but I searched and went to many different places just to look for em and I didn't see a single one. It's like they went extinct or something.
So is that like a common thing or there's some problem
Extremely rare on Mobile. Their spawn rate was decreased due to phone lag.
If you need oil then tame a dung bittle from hunters cave.. they don't attack if you don't hit them..
You need spoiled meat to tame it.. it's a passive tame so make sure you clear all the cave Dinos around it...
After tame pick it up (yes you can pick it up like tamed dodo & you can carry it on hand while your riding on an another dino) and get home..
Put some mid size poop in its inventory with rotten meat(or built a feeding turf & put rotten meat there)..
It'll turn those poop into fertilizer and oil real soon..
Or you can get a dolphin and get oil from under water while riding it.. use metal pick axe on the black rocks and boom oil..
Snow area has a lot of oil.. but don't go there without good clothes & a good flyer.. my suggestion would be take an argi .. coz they carry a lot.. try breading 2 argi and imprint it 100% so you get bonus stats and speeds from the beginning..
Hey I just noticed you have the god console...but you still have the shot gun. Does that mean your crafting table and fabricator still work? There is a glitch, where mine doesn't, and instead only gives me a search bar. Was there a specific method you used to keep it from glitching out?
I've never had that glitch. Try sending in a bug report on the official Ark Mobile website.

It should be in your engrams. You may have just not learned it yet. I don't remember the level it unlocks, but it is a lower level.
@@DarksmithYT They just showed up today. I'm not at that level yet. I thought you combined existing arrows with poison etc..
Over burden your tames, and put them on wander, then mate them. no continuous whistle for them to stop.

Are any updates coming soon because i feel like the game gets really repetitive and like eerie turrets are sooooo stupid in my eyes and there are not any spots left to build of the island because they are mostly taken
Hopefully! I don't get any insight beyond a normal player eventhough I'm a partner. I know though that the developers are constantly having to deal with hackers, which takes time away from focusing on new content and updates.

my base keep on getting attack by same guy, what can i do? i think he got some hack, i tamed a carno ,rex and spino but it all still got kill. He is very good at using barrylrow
Just because he keeps attacking doesn't mean he's hacking. You'll know if he's hacking - there won't be a question lol. But I'd suggest just don't give up, maybe try moving, try attacking back if you want. Keep learning the game and getting better and eventually you'll be able to handle your own :)

Another tip USE EXPLORER NOTES TO LVL UP IN HALF HOUR I GOT TO 40 but theirs ppl who can do it a lot faster
It's more about the notes you get and the path you take ;) And if you do it on a survivor weekend (double xp), it's a lot easier. Not to mention an easy server - each difficulty decreases the amount of xp you get from everything, with easy being the one with 100% on everything. Medium is 50% I think, and then Idk for sure on hard and brutal. Good tip though nonetheless! Thanks! :)
