If your gonna tame flyers at high altitude, bring an equine that is uniquely dedicated to leveling its O2 stat. The o2 stat makes you swim faster as well as give more time to breath and you use the swimming horse that one time out of a hundred when the bird you just knocked out falls into the ocean. That way you have a reliable way of moving the tame so it doesn’t drown. You can also use the horse and lasso to pulling the animal out of bad/awkward places
Does long arms still increase your reach and big hands help obscure your head. When I started beta 2017 on ps4, everyone had long arms for longer reach & when holding some weapoks it obscures a headshot because your hands are so big.
Some notes/alternative tips: Don't tame a parasaur unless it's for PvP scouting. There will 99.99% be a nearby moschops that can be passive tamed and won't require a saddle or bola, or anything but some berries. Also, Achatina can yes, produce paste. At the cost of veggie cakes to tame, and maintain, which isn't really worth it when you factor in their cost and other uses. Snails are literally the worst paste farming method in game, rob beavers instead.

the first thing i do on a fresh install is switch the [i]nvetory,and[tab]console buttons. so tab becomes inventory and [i] becomes console. this is so i wont have to move my hands to open inventory. after that,i run around the map gathering 5 notes,so ill be about lvl 40. i invest at least 5 skill point in everything,so all my stats are 50% increased. except melee which will only be 25%,oxygen which will be 60%,and movement speed 110% after that most point will be spent on health,weight,and movement speed. then i craft basic tools and leather armor,tame some dino's, and build my base. then my first base building tip,get some cementing paste,and build rain collectors. so you wont have to build next to water. that's how i start out. and my second tip,use dino's to carry your stuff. start taming as fast as possible,will make you life easier. what this game needs is little puddles of water,after the rain.

My MAIN tip would be totry to get some some solid mid level tames first because your won't have good enough gear to tame the top level dinos right away. What you can tame depends on your gear. You need a like a 200% long neck with tranq darts to make going after high level Rexes, Yuties, Theris, Megatheriams, Thylas etc..
2:57 Sad fact about the diplo. The reason why it pushes you is because it wants to be your friend. It is playfully pushing you. So think of that next time you kill one.
One trick I do that's rather effective is when I want to hide something I put down a 1x1x1 stone hut with no door and put a small storage box in it. I use the box to store items I want to hold on to or extra resources in case I get raided. I seal the hut up with another wall. It's best to do this a good distance away from your base and in a densely packed area, such as a jungle or swamp. People tend to look for larger buildings to raid so a small hut gets ignored in favor of the prospect of more and better loot.

@@michalberka9987 not really, the only real downsides are it does more damage, so you're more likely to kill the target before knocking it out, and it can't be used underwater. it's otherwise not any worse. if you're going after low health targets then yeah, you shouldn't be using it, and be considering shocking tranq darts instead. it's just that the longneck rifle takes so long to reload it's not terribly useful for anything other than maybe a sabertooth or thyla in a cage, or maybe a quetz. **shrugs**
Water makes up a huge majority of our bodies and we have to drink a lot of it every day to survive…. But too much water is still bad for us. Too much of anything is bad for us - Next time you’ve been playing ark for 5 hours, get up and take a break, go outside, play with the dogs, step away. When you come back, you’ll play better and more refreshed :)

a quick note on compound bows: while you can't use standard arrows with them, you CAN use tranq arrows with them.
Definitely a good point :)
Worse for taming than regular bow or cross-bow. You can also use fire arrows with a compound bow.
