I love this course! It gets so intense when the music speeds up, and parts of track sink into the lava, and the volcanos in the background erupt, it looks so cool! This version imo is better than the Wii version because it looks so much better. The Wii version functions exactly the same, but it doesn't look that great.
@Howlingburd19 fair enough but I'm personally not a big fan of the Wii U's controls that's just my opinion. To be fair, it depends on how you play it since there are multiple options for controls.
This was a Mario Kart Wii course that I almost forgot all about. It’s so underrated and I love it’s difficulty. I hope Mario Kart Tour brings it someday so I can embrace its nostalgia, since I play Tour often of late.
I remember absolutely loving the incredibile graphics of MK8 as a kid, but I didn't like how they went with a yellow for the lava. (Mostly noticable here, also present in 3D World and Captain Toad. Color Splash also had it). I really preferred how the lava looked on the Wii. Mario Kart Wii, NSMBW with the lava hills, the Galaxy Bilogy etc.

(and for that I mean SNES Bowser Castle 3) There's also to note that back then I was looking to the Wii U version with worse colors (and while sometimes I watched videos of it on my TV, most of the time I watched them on my laptop, making it really look yellow). On Switch OLED/Dock it has much more orange to it. Still prefer Wii and SNES BC3 but the old one makes more sense now!
I love the music track in grumble volcano in mario kart 8 deluxe. Thats why i got the switch version, the wii u version sucks dont have to pay for the dlc pack waste of money on the wii u version.
the most disgusting map. Not fun at all, cannot allow yourself to be fast and gotta always brake drift, i hate its mechanic and the music is just... lame

This is one of the best courses. I love how the paths shrinks each time. Plus, the music is nice.

I love the track in both versions! With that being said, the MK8 version is certainly much more impressive visually
