- Can I beat Let's Go Pikachu with only Ash Ketchum's Pokémon using Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules?
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Pokémon on each Route that Ash used in the Anime (Species Clause); This includes Pokémon that evolve INTO Pokémon that Ash has used, but NOT Pokémon that evolve FROM Pokémon that Ash has used
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset (from Pokémon Challenges):
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode
Special Rule:
7. Must always have Pikachu on my team

i actually like that mechanic, specially in Pokemon X/Y because it takes a good while and some effort to get the five hearts and get all that friendship power ups so they are not for free, it's still broken, but a love the feature of being able to interact with your pokemon and that actually making them stronger

21:55 It's better than that. When Ash helps save the gym from being destroyed by the volcano due to Team Rocket shenanigans, Blane actually laughs at Ash's assumption that he'll be handed the badge for doing that without an actual fight.

For whatever reason, the writers love giving Ash weird teams that somehow still do him well Lol. But Ash supported his Bulbadaur’s decision to not evolve. Not sure how well that served him but it’s also a kids tv show lol.

Honestly Emerald with Poison, Bug, or Flying type Pokémon is gonna be incredibly fun (because you will get straight up walled by multiple gym leaders). However I would love to see you do a hardcore Nuzlocke of USUM. I personally find them to be incredibly difficult games, with most Pokémon having broken movesets, perfect IVs, max EVs, and the AI being really good. Great work man, keep it up!

Let's go brought me back into pokemon after playing from yellow to hgss and really showd just how fun pokemon can be. Took out a lot of the unnecessary and just let it be a fun monster tamer game. I am glad they made it

Yeah I had as much fun with firered as I did listening to someone scratch nails on a chalkboard for half the game, I do not trust Pokémon fans when making fun of this game. It was just so easy to use charizard to win the game, and the constant encounters with trainers of the same level and type of Pokémon made me envy whoever started off with let's go pikachu instead.
I really hate unnecessary grinding and I did not want to double the length of the game by switching my team members constantly to be the same level; let's go pikachu would actually let me use my team

I’ve been watching a few of these and I’m now attempting my own Ground-type only Platinum Nuzlocke run. I’m not doing the hardcore rules (I’m not that great at these runs) but it sounded like fun and it’ll make me use Pokémon that I never previously used.
So how did it go?

Also you probably forgot that battle existed and it would be so hard since it ain't a gym battle or anything. However you've made quite far into the game for a single-type nuzlocke, the next run will be better

Examples: Granbull is the team mascot of the second gym's town, the rocky boi (Excaliboulder, I didnt get its name) fits with the medieval style of the 3rd gym, Meditite its about meditating, fitting for the 1st gym

@@notscorchingsands9718 quite literally *ANYTHING 'depends'* when you dumb it down like that - but at it's core Let's Go games are designed in a way that even a toddler could beat them without a problem, these games have so many training wheels and reprieving elements to them that you simply can't loose, or you have to delibirately go through a lot effort on order to loose

Nice vid. I don't know how fun these would be but Ideas for Hardcore Nuzlockes:
- Only Unevolved Pokemon below Base Stat Total 300 (or 350, not sure what is a good number)
- Only Baby Pokemon
- Only Flying Type Pokemon
- Only Bug Type Pokemon
- Only Dragon Type Pokemon (just not certain there's enough)
- Only Gimmick Pokemon (Ditto, Smeargle, Shedinja, etc, not sure there's enough either though)
My favorite gens to see are 3-4 but feel free to pick what's fun for you instead!

Mr. Mime was actually caught by Ash in the original anime, which he gave to his mom to train Pikachu. He used him in one of his league matches in between the original and Journeys
The best thing that came out of the Let's Go games was a certain video involving Misty, that ended up getting removed from a certain website. 10/10 guilt AND nostalgia.

It’s actually a feature ever since Gen 6 that if your Pokémon liked you enough they would have increased crit rate, focus band, dodge attacks, etc
and it sucks lol, at least in gen 6 it was optional and would only happen if you spend extensive time with each individual pokemon on pokemon amie but in this game its just on easy mode constantly, happy i never bought it tbh
What do you think of a hard core nuzlocke with the added rule of only being allowed to have 1 move per pokemon?

23:19 - Slight correction, they fight in the back half of the Unova anime. Ash’s Pikachu got overwhelmed by Persian in a brief skirmish and then both Ash and Pikachu got locked in a high tech cage together before the fight could conclude, making it their technical loss.
Man, if Let's Go didn't have all these baby-friendly mechanics, it would've been the best Kanto Pokemon game.
