Do you think changing out he “egg” color to something more natural could turn it into all effective trout streamer?

Brad, that's a great idea. This could absolutely be a great small trout streamer. You could also change the rabbit strip to a darker color like olive or tan and run just one light color ice dub underneath for a good looking baitfish pattern.
