UPDATE: I’ve noticed I say the pilot is a piston filler when it’s actually a vacuum filler. Sorry for any confusion!
I watch currently inked videos to fall asleep too!! lol and then I have to go back and rewatch when I’m awake 😅 you did fantastic and thank you for making one!! Need more of these alll the time 💘💘💘💘

I just went to my first pen show in Baltimore last week, and came home with 2 pens, as well. I, too, got a Pilot Custom 823, but mine is in smoke, and mine came with a bottle of blue ink. I’ve filled and refilled it, already!
That's so great you got two pens on your list! I've been to one pen show and there was so much to look at but it was fun to try some many pens in person. Enjoy them!
I think that’s why I love pen shows too. Not many shops have fountain pens available (other than Kaweco and Lamy) for you to try and explore new brands. Xx

That's a lovely set of purchases from the show, I've never been to one but really would like to go, I suspect it would be an expensive day though. You said you were making a mess of the run through, I think it was great.
Thank you so much. My tip for a pen show is to have a budget and stick to it. And treat it more like a museum than a shop and you will be fine 👍🏻
I use a little lemon essential oil to remove sticker residue. It works like a charm :)

I also have a fear of Royal Blue inks for the same exact reason 😂 I picked up BPC Starfruit sample at the LPS as well and I love it so much, and now I wish I had picked up more ❤

I’ve ordered a clear one from cult pens, I can’t wait. I only started FPs last month and I don’t think I’ll be needing to buy another after my 823 comes, maybe another in black 😂

I managed to make it out of there without buying a pen! I was all about the nibs this time.
Well done on getting two of your wishlist pens. You did better than me. I had seven on my list with a realistic intention of 2-3 but I didn't see a single one. I did get a Good Blue L130 though which I already love.
Oh nooo! To be fair, the show is more tailored towards vintage fountain pens, which are pretty to look at but not my thing. I was really lucky in what I got. Xx

London: present and correct, choosing keeping, london graphic center and the journal shop. Brighton: papersmiths (they have stores in london too but their Brighton one is the biggest). And if you go to Eastbourne then All Things Analogue. ❤️ enjoy your trip!!
@@Jojournals90 definitely going to Eastbourne, in fact my husband’s family are in Newhaven. Excited that there’s a pen shop so close! I can get quality time while the kids hang with their grandmother 😉
It’s “Venvstas”, not “Venustas” ink (from Italy) and the color name is “Rosa Canino”. Not trying to be critical; I just looked it up when you mentioned you had trouble deciphering the handwriting on the label.
