And the story she bravely shared, I felt compelled to share my story abput my e ut from Dixie Belle paint too, in the hope that other artists and retailers will also come forward with their experiences so that no one else ever has to go through what we have. An empowerment movement for the paint world. Thank you everyone for all the support you've already given!

    Dixie Belle USED YOU and the other brand ambassadors, stole your designs and denied you fair compensation and name recognition for your artistic contributions. I'm sad about it, I liked DB products. but I will never ever buy from that company again.

      Brand Ambassadors need to sue Dixie Belle. This is why small businesses stay small...because they would rather steal from those who helped build their brands. I see it all the time...as a Small Business Consultant & as Small Non Profit Consultant.. Small/ Non Profit business owners then start attacking us & causing defamation of our character to make their theft ok. Sue them you will make millions!

      Yes! This is appalling in so many ways.We can not sweep this kind of behavior, by any company, under the rug any longer. It is destroying the spirit of our country . Stand strong. Right is on your side and so are we.

    I have followed yours and Crystana’s story from the beginning, it has been disgusting and disappointing what Dixie Belle has done. Since I started painting with Dixie Belle, and your tutorial’s, I had quite an inventory which I have been replacing with new paint lines (TY for the comprehensive video on different paints and paint lines) . Regardless of the quality of the product, I can’t support a business with such poor business ethics and unacceptable treatment of the artists that made them who they are. TY for your strength to make people aware of the ethics of this company and continue your amazing teaching video’s and sharing your artistic talent and knowledge. ❤

    Attorneys fix these problems. Contracts are legally binding. If there is a company destroying an artist community you can join together get an attorney and remove them from the community. Letting them continue to treat other artists this way and knowing what they are doing without trying to stop them just harms the community. If everyone comes together maybe you can prevent new artists from potentially destroying their careers before they even begin. Speaking out is good but it essentially does nothing to stop these harmful business practices. As a United fron taking action you CAN make positive changes for this community.

      It isn't that easy though. It is a lot of money of course up front for a lawsuit of this nature. On top of that the predatory practices the company engages in is a pretty huge red flag that they are not at all who they claim or posture themselves to be, a small independent company and the company is more likely owned by a megacorporation and they have endless resources that can potentially bankrupt people that try to take them on. Telling the truth however is free and everyone should always share truth most especially about predatory behavior by any company. Sharing the facts about this company should affect their business and this is exactly the way it should work in that word gets out about companies that are extremely unethical that has the potential to shut them down. We do live in a world though, that is not at all what things appear to be. This company sure seems to have been about targeting small businesses in which are predominately owned and operated by women, many that are stay at home mothers and it has been about controlling small businesses and the owners. It is disturbing to say the least. If it is a megacorporation behind the scenes they develop companies deliberately with the understanding it will lose money in order to destroy competition and for other nefarious reasons. Amazon is known for this.

      Torte attorneys take on class action suits without investment from the plaintiffs all the time. The legal impacts to DB is the ONLY thing that will straighten them up.

      Not everyone can afford to get a lawyer and class action suits take a very long time. Many lawyers don't want to talk cases like that unless there is a huge payday at the end.

    I will absolutely NEVER buy Dixie Belle paints or any products ever again!!!!! DB is all I ever used and I’m almost out so, was literally headed to my retailer to stock up tomorrow but now, absolutely NOT. They are stealing, lying and taking advantage of so many. Brandy, I am so sorry you and others are having to deal with this and you are so brave for standing up for the TRUTH! May you have many blessings coming your way.     I haven't purchased from Dixie Belle since the video with you and CrysDawna. It's important to stand up for your work and how they treated you and the other ambassadors is just awful. Stealing your money, stealing your work, stealing your content. They deserve a lawsuit.

    Been following the industry since last October and hope to enter it in June once I retire from education. It infuriates me to witness this unethical treatment of hardworking artists. I also watched the Undead video and was appalled. Legal action is definitely warranted and if I was a part of this injustice I would most definitely take action. Always speak out for injustice. We don't deserve isolation. We are all worthy of humane treatment!

      I'm a retired teacher, and the first situation that reminds me of this is education. Teachers work tirelessly on different strategies to help struggling students, and the next thing they k kw is that someone has taken credit for their very hard unique idea--using the original example to lie and make money. I am so very sorry that you are going through this, Brushed by Brandi. This is just cruel, as you have a family to feed, and keep safe. This is just so wrong.

    I wish so badly you would have sued this company, you really still should it’s outrageous and a clear breach of contract not to mention you have actual damages as this has harmed your business. Keep sharing your story we are all here to support you, I personally appreciate you sharing your truth I had so many problems with this company starting 4 years ago when they lied about the kind of paint they made.

    Thank you for finally sharing your story! The public needs to hear. Companies that choose to profit by using artists without compensation deserve to be boycotted. Unfortunately, I just purchased some of their paint but it will be the last!

    So sad to hear about how Dixie Belle is treating the brand ambassadors. Yay for you being brave and standing your ground and speaking out. Makes me rethink what kind of paint I want to use from now on. I flip as a hobby but certainly want to support other furniture artists in their endeavor and don’t want to support this company’s illegal shenanigans.

    I am a hobbyist not a business owner, I have been following you and several other furniture artist on social media for years. Whenever I see you guys paint something I like, I buy all the paint, transfers, molds - everything. I have enough paint to start my own business 😂. I didn’t buy the paint because of Dixie Belle marketing but because of YOU! You and all of the other artists deserved to be compensated. I do not purchase Dixie Belle paint anymore and I thought after what happened with you, they would have learned their lesson and started treating their brand ambassadors better. So sad.

    Brandy, i have followed this since the start. You and CD have dealt with all their BS with such decorum. . I dont know how, i would hit the roof. You and CD are the first people i watched when starting my small upcycling business. I learned everything i know from you both and am incredibley grateful. Thank You. I bought HUNDREDS possibley thousands of euros worth of DB because of you both. I am so sorry this happened, you dont deserve it.     I am seeing you for the very first time. I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve been through. You are very brave to tell your story. I was once part of a company that rewarded hard work with a structured compensation plan. And believe me, one had to work very hard to achieve family supporting levels of income. For some reason, greed, I suppose, the company broke faith with all of us and imposed a new payment structure. When we received our next month’s pay, our checks were significantly reduced. Eg. normally $8,000 per month to $500. Everyone was reeling. Needless to say, the company moral collapsed then the company collapsed. So sad, as those were fabulous products. Moral of the story: Fabulous products cannot compensate for greedy business practices.

    When you first left DB it was very quiet, I just noticed that you were using other paint, When you finally told your audience you were very PC and a real class act. The way you handled their nefarious business practice and how horrible you and the others were treated was above reproach. I can't speak for others but I have quit buying their products and have not since the day you came out with your experience. The best revenge is living well my friend and the fact that you have not missed a beat, you continue to create beautiful pieces makes you the winner! You just continue to be the awesome artist/teacher that you have been and we will continue to support and watch you and not buy DB products LOL.       I, too, noticed you being quiet and using other brands. I'm sorry this happened but it really doesn't surprise me...unfortunately I surmised there was a split, and though you didn't allude to advising in the company, I suppose I just guessed. I'm not surprised but it's a shame this sort of thing happens all too often. Best of luck, and you should sue them!😮😮😮😮

      Great!! So how do you help the many small businesses that go under in the process??? The small businesses that spent thousands ?? Will they be getting a check from you at the end???? This is between Brandy and whoever else involved!!! They can file a suit and let the court take care of it. Why do they have to hurt the small businesses in the process? If they win DB has insurance I'm certain to cover the loss/pain or whatever they feel they deserve! Small businesses under that. Get nothing. So please think about others instead of yourself

    I literally just received my Patina spray, the white lightning and iron patina paint. I watched this video when it came out but apologetically, I didn’t pay attention. . . I will NEVER buy from that company again. And truth be told-they lost some incredible talent. I am so sorry you and the other ambassadors were treated so badly. But now the sky’s the limit for you and other incredible talents. Why not all those who left Dicie Belle create a team of artists using their prefered paints and showcasing their work? ❤️❤️ much respect for you and others for coming out and sharing with us.

    I’ve never commented on TH-cam, but here we go: Brandy, for the past 4 months I have been restoring furniture all because one day I came across a video of yours. You’re the first person I followed on this app and religiously wrote down all your tips and suggestions. I saved up to stock up on Dixie belle products and would tune back in just to watch you use them. While this is fairly new to me, no one has ever inspired me like you have. I normally don’t follow up with content creators and their drama with a product but ma’am you’re so much more than that. My loyalty lies with YOU (and Chris of course😆), you’re BRUSHED BY BRANDY, whatever brand you use is lucky to have you mention them.
    P.s I’m still struggling with blending but I have not lost hope 🤞🏼

    You speak about this so clearly about the entire history. You all need to file with the federal trade commission and it sounds like you have plenty of evidence, both on paper and the videos. You are an amazing artist, and you deserve way better. All of the ambassadors who have been seen off for their hard-earned money are in my thoughts. Dixie Belle paint will never get another purchase for me.

    I was in the painting community during this time and remember how respectful you were during all of this. You were careful not to slander them and I had to read between the lines to figure out what was happening. This is MUCH more horrific than I thought. This is theft! I used DB because of you and others and decided I didn’t want to support this company any longer and I havnt used them since this all happened. So glad that you’ve finally put out this very clear and truthful explanation of what happened. Several others have shared the exact same experience and I hope more continue to come forward.

    I personally like the “Chalk Mountain” company, and buy their products, but I have so many Dixie Belle products and I don’t even want to use them now.

    Brandy, I want you to know I stopped buying any Dixie belle products following yours and Crys’Dawna’s TH-cam video. That was the first I knew about the situation. I will continue to be boycotting Dixie Belle. However, I really do appreciate that you haven’t taken down any of your old videos because I’ve saved a lot of them for inspiration. I’m incapable of doing what you do but even so there’s so many color schemes that you use a techniques etc. that I go back to and review before I do something to be able to use them in my projects and other paint lines have similar colors. I’ve started using wise owl paint and appreciate your help with finding good paint lines. I really appreciate the fact you haven’t taken them down even though you’ve gone through this horrific situation with them.

    I’ve been following you and Crys’Dawna for some time and was absolutely shocked that you were subjected to this when it happened. You’ve both handled it with your head held high and with integrity and you’re both incredibly strong for doing so. A brand should never be allowed to treat people like this, and I hope whatever legal action you take (if you do), not only compensates you all but forces a fundamental change in the brands way of operating. The first painting products I ever bought when I started were DB and after seeing what they put you two through, that’s one brand I will never buy from again - just trying to finish what I’ve got and be done with it!!

    I’m really saddened to know you have been treated so terribly. It’s gross that others made it go so far your family could have been put at risk. To steal your designs is just disgusting when artists are their lifeline! I’m just starting my journey with painting furniture. But going forward I’m not going to purchase from this company.     Since you came out the fist time, Brandy I stopped buying DB products. I refuse support unethical, criminal behavior, cheating all of you of your income because of their greed. I’m so proud of you that you’re keeping your integrity & valued character intact. I’m praying for you, in the long run they are the losers. Getting Attorneys involved would probably only make the attorneys rich. You will be triumphant & can always sleep well at night knowing you’re honest & also fighting & upholding each other that have been involved in this unethical company. Bravo! Girl!     I wish I’d have known this sooner. I’ve just recently started up-cycling decor for myself and have invested quite a bit of money in Dixie belle paint. I will no longer be purchasing any of their items. I’m so sorry you’ve been treated so poorly. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope you get justice.

    Omg...I cannot believe you have been going through this for so long.

    The funny thing about having the courage to speak when it will collapse your life, is that once you do it you find it gets easier and easier to do it following. It snowballs (ask me how I know this).
    You aren't paint brand ambassadors
    You are Truth ambassadors
    And you have created not a painting business, but a platform to use your influence to help others to speak their Truth as well. And THAT will snowball as well.
    No one needs to worry about seeking retribution against wrong, it will take itself out by its own actions.

    I had seen that Dixie Belle is a predatory company from the beginning and it is refreshing to see that you have severed your relationship with the company. I have seen that you have integrity and I was surprised you were with the company at all. I saw immediately when they did not allow brand ambassadors to use other products that their practices were predatory, indeed they took ownership of artists. I had questioned, or critiqued the company in a group, as I recall it was a question about a product that was not Dixie Belle and I was banned from the group. Any company that silences speech, and especially a company that works with artists with original ideas is predatory and should not be trusted. I do hope more people start to see this to stop using their products. I have never used Dixie Belle paint again, because I saw the psychopathic behavior of this company right away. It doesn't surprise me at all that they are stealing from and exploiting their brand ambassadors. Something tells me they were never a small company. Large megacorporations develop too many companies to count to deceive people to believe they are small private companies when they are not. Small companies with passion for the company they create don't conduct themselves in the predatory manner that Dixie Belle has most especially right from the beginning.

      I am trying to recall now what the question was that I asked in a Dixie Belle group and I believe I asked about their top coat as I had heard their top quote though extremely high priced had quality issues and could/would remain tacky. So I asked about it, and I believe I asked about a top coat from another company. At the time, I was setting up to order for quite a bit of paint and top coat. Everyone should always do their research on the products and company before making a purchase. Though I was banned from the group for my questions. Dixie Belle clearly doesn't want any discussion of other products because they do have a product that is sub par because if that were not the case their product quality would stand on its own. The fact that Dixie Belle restricts artists from using tools of their craft (paints and whatever product that is not Dixie Belle), is exactly what a psychopath does, they remove resources from people they control and victimize.

    I stopped using DB products when their business practices were brought to light in your previous video. I saw the video by Undead Hardware as well. It is very sad that greed has consumed a business that has influenced and encouraged so many people to play from their creative side. I love your work, your teaching, and your courage.

    Since I first heard of DB I had a "feeling" that something wasn't quite right about them. No matter how many times I was interested in purchasing something from them, I just couldn't do it so I realized that on a spiritual level I was being protected. I'm sorry that you had all those problems with them. I currently use Annie Sloan products and Wise Owl. Sure hope that nothing similar happens with them, although I do not want to become a stockist of either one. Best wishes to you, Brandy. Keep your chin up. The truth will out!

    I remember your first post about this I immediately put all Dixie bell paint I had in the BIN !! after following your videos with your fun learning and comments off the cameraman 😊 you are a lovely honest person and I had no reason not to believe you . I’m so sorry this company is still working underhanded but as my dad used to say “ What comes around goes around “ so hopefully one day they will regret their treatment on you and others .

    you go girl...It is so sad that dixie bell, should use people for their own gain, and not have the decency to compensate them, are they going through a cash flow problem, or can they just not make it on their own, but had to milk others brain for their company to work. they do not seem professional at all, with the disgraceful way of handling this whole situation on social media, what company fights like a 4 year old child like this, they really need some courses in handling matters as such. i hope this does not stop you painting as i have gained so much by watching you. You are the known one on social media not them, and you will still have the same following as what you had. you do not need dixie bell to do this. i think they have done enough damage to their own brand themselves with the way this was handled, people are not stupid. in any case although you promoted dixie bell, im from south africa where it is not available, and got the same effect with other brands. don't worry they have started their own downfall, and soon they will have to change brand names to exist. put on all your previous videos, ANY BRAND CAN BE USED NOT JUST DIXIE BELL.

    100% not surprised! I looked into being an affiliate for them in 2021 and promptly said a great big "NO" when I saw the terms they wanted. I am not surprised at all that this happened and I'm so sorry you have been put through this by this horrible company.

    The one seller of that line of paint in my area has discontinued selling the products. I suspect they are not doing well. There were not many sellers in this area to begin with.

    Interesting!!! I am sorry for all your trouble. I was told at my local dealer that they were not further carrying Dixie belle paint because they could no longer find the supplies to make the paint. The truth eventually comes out.

    What an absolutely, horrible company DB is! What they have put you and other brand ambassadors through shows who they are. I'm in my 4th year of refinishing furniture and you and Crys’Dawna are the first artists I starting following. What I have learned from you is invaluable and I thank you so much. I am so sorry about what this horrible company has put you and others through. Since all of this, I have not and will never purchase anything from DB. Besides, there are so many other WAY better products out there, lol! Take care, Brandy. I know what you did had to have been so difficult but it was the right thing to do. Organizations like DB need to be exposed. They got greedy and I hope it bites them big time!

    Thanks Brandy for denouncing bad business practices about the Dixie paints, I have been away from your art for a while, but it was your videos that put the dixie brand on my radar which I never heard before, and looked for them in NYC. I will follow others, if the company does not keep legal contract and compensate you for the marketing work and contribution you made to their products, I will not buy their paints, neither refer it to friends.
    BTW, you are a gifted artist and I admire your work very much. Speaking the truth is important. ❤️

    I have been a follower of yours and the other previous painters that were with this company when I first began following y’all.
    I love your designs and the talent you share.
    I have continued to use Dixie Belle Paint only due to the fact that there is a store that sells their products and I can run in and purchase what I need.
    I will stop paying for these products and start using other products as a result of how DB has treated you and the others.
    You are extremely talented and you have a good heart and a great sense of self, and encouragement for others.
    I stand behind you 100%.

    Brandy, you are a very talented furniture artist, I watch your videos quite often. I intend to try a lot of your techniques. I'm astonished that a popular brand like DB, could treat artists the way you and other BAs have been treated. I don't use their paint (I use AS), although I have used a couple of their other products. However, after listening to your story, I won't be using anymore of their products. Take care and know that you are admired by the furniture painting community ☺️
