    Fascinating area! A relic of a vast prehistoric desert, the largest in Europe, 300 sq km! I would love to visit. Wiki tells me it has lots of rare plants and other wildlife including steppe polecats and eastern imperial eagles. How I wish I could camp there and explore. Thanks very much for sharing this.

      Thank you! Even if it is relatively close to our home (130 km), for some reason it is not a popular destination, and this was actually the first time we went into the sandy area. But it is indeed very beautiful and so interesting to see a "desert" here! It is definitely worth visiting for a longer period than a weekend.

    Looks like it was a great ride and adventure! And I'm sorry the holiday fell on a weekend. That seems unfair! 😉

    • @bici.family
      @bici.family  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hahaha yes a bit unfair 😀 In fact these holidays are usually 4 or even 5 days long (if it's on a Wednesday for example, usually it's "connected" to the weekend), and then we have time for a bit longer vacation and we can take a several day tour around some area. This time we were limited in time and distance we can go, but regardless we had a great time!

      Na žalost, i nama je delovalo da je dosta toga zapušteno i prepušteno vremenu, ali zato su predeli neverovatni, definitivno nešto što vredi posetiti! Mi smo svakako uživali, i po lošem putu 😊 Puno pozdrava i za vas! 😊

    This was a nice family trip. If I left my trike parked in the usa it would get stolen.

    • @bici.family
      @bici.family  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment! And about stealing - that is always a risk. We try to use very good chain locks to lock the trikes (so far we trust the ABUS chain locks) and we also leave the trikes in crowded places if possible, where it's less likely that someone will come with some special tools for cutting the chain without being noticed.

    Thank you again for the new video of your holiday trip to these places in your neighborhood of which the names I can't pronounce.
    Luckily there were some subtitles. Serbian seems to be a very difficult language for me. (my native language is flemish/dutch)
    Is Blanka still to young to ride along with her own bicycle like David does, or does she prefer more to be driven in her coach as a princess :-)?
    Something I learned from this video (besides ways to use bungee cord :-)) is the existence of Eurovelo routes. For people who have much time and are a bit adventures (I whish I was a bit in that situation) they seem to be an interesting way to spend some time on a bike/trike and discover new countries.
    Love to see more of these adventures.

    • @bici.family
      @bici.family  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I'm sure we would have similar problems with pronounciation in your area 😂 Similarly, we traveled multiple times to France, and I remember in the beginning when we knew no French at all, and we couldn't even pronounce the names of the places, sometimes it was so hard to ask around and find the right way!
      Blanka is still not that sure on her own bike, her ride is a bit wobbly and she gets tired quickly - she still needs to practice. We have a contraption called the Trail Angel, that we can use to attach her bike to the seatpost of an adult bike, and like that she can also pedal along. We are still looking into options on how to attach this Trail Angel to the trike. In the meantime, she is enjoying like a princess 😊 And we also get some additional storage space in the back of the trailer.
      Regarding the Eurovelo routes - it is indeed a great network of routes all across Europe. We traveled the Eurovelo 6 from our hometown to the Atlantic ocean in France a few years ago (before kids), and also a part of the Eurovelo 17 with the kids in 2019. They are both very well marked and there are cycle paths in most of their length. Some of the others are not that developed, but still offer a lot of information and guidance.

      @@bici.family Whaaw, all the way from novi sad to the west cost of France by bike. Speaking of an adventurous family. That diserves RESPECT !!!
      When my daughter was still little (about the age of your kids) I made such a contraption myself from an old bicycle. (At that time I didn't have my trike yet.)
      The one mistake I made was that the bike was equiped with a kickback brake on the rear wheel. So when she was tired of pedaling along, she kept her feet still and was slowely pushing backwards, activating the brake. Not very funny when you are trying to get someware :-(. So soon I changed the backwheel with a standard one. Problem solved :-)
