  • In this recumbent trike vlog, we cycle around the Bay of Kotor, also known as Boka Kotorska, a bay in the Adriatic sea in Montenegro. As usual we ride our Steintrikes Wild One trikes. We visit the historical towns of Perast and Kotor, and several cute villages along the coast. The map of the route is further down in the description :)

    Hello Adventurous Family.
Nice to see you back with a new video.
Your videos always make me want to be there also.
Especially because it is raining here almost every day, and you have such a beautiful sunshine.
I like the combination of you riding your trikes and at the same time spoiling us with the tourist information.
Doesn't it feel awkward to walk around in the small streets of Kotor filming and talking to the camera with all the other people around?
Clever way and good spot to leave the trikes unattended in Kotor.
A bit of a shame there are not more bike lanes, but I guess that is the case in many countries (not only in eastern Europe).
I think we are a bit spoiled here in Belgium, and even more in the Netherlands.
It seems to be a very long ride you made this time. Maybe it was too long to take the kids along as well.
Thanks for letting us enjoy the the nice places you visited.
Take care and see you next time :-)

Thank you so much for your comment! Indeed it is sometimes awkward to go around with the camera 😂 and we don't always do it, often we just go for a ride without filming or taking photos, just enjoying the ride and taking the moments in. But sometimes we like to film and share some of the beautiful places we visit, and also maybe motivate others to try exploring the world by bike/trike, and visit this part of the world as well (maybe at least virtually). See you soon!

Good to see you guys again. I was getting worried about you since I hadn't seen any videos for a while. And Montenegro looks beautiful!

Thank you David! We have taken some time for the holidays (not always with the trikes), so that's why we are missing on our regular schedule. Montenegro is very beautiful, in our opinion it is a pity that they do not (yet) invest into cycling infrastructure, we believe that it has great potential with beautiful landscapes, both on the seaside and inland!

Wow😱!! Did you get any pant samples from those cars and bus's passing you two🤏👀.l always enjoy your videos beautiful landscapes and commentary exceptionally well done✨

Luckily no paint samples! But it was not pleasant to have them passing so close by! Our best guess is that bikes are still rare over there, and the people are not used to having them on the roads, and also probably there are not strict enough fines that would force the people to be more careful and overtake on a safer distance...

Thank you for your video. Lovely bay and buildings too. That would be just the perfect cycle without the traffic! My wife and I are taking our trikes to the New Forest, in the UK, next week for a couple of days exploring the trails there, camping in our camper on a forest site. Less than an hours drive from home. Should be lovely. Looking forward to your next video!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! We also believe that Montenegro could potentially benefit from cycling tourism if they decide to invest more into infrastructure - it is really a very beautiful country to visit and explore! I hope you had a great vacation as well 😊

Beautiful places, nice story, excellent music and obviously a lot of effort to get around the whole bay. Congratulations!

That is an awesome ride. How long do you guys think you will keep the trikes before upgrading them? Europe has so many more special unique looking places than we have in the United States. I’ve been to Sweden Denmark belgium Germany Luxembourg Netherlands and France. Next time I’m there I’m going to travel to different Eastern European countries.

    • @bici.family
      @bici.family  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thank you! So far we are very happy with our trikes, so we don't plan on upgrading something significantly, although Endre is considering getting a bigger rear wheel maybe. I agree about travelling in Europe, there are many great paths to take! Unfortunately in our part there are not many dedicated bike paths, it's more that there are labeled routes that are "nice" for cycling, but in the Western Europe there are definitely many dedicated bike paths, as I guess you know already 😊 I think that Eurovelo website is a good resource for planning a cycling trip in Europe. If we can help you with the Eastern European countries, feel free to contact us when the time comes.
