    You truly have a lot of patience in teaching technics but also a kind human being who does show how to memorise and use guidelines which are easy. Thank you.

    I have to wait until my next semester of college to take my fine arts, I play the fiddle but I plan on taking violin (while simply using a fiddle bridge if they let me), until then you are the lifesaver to end all lifesavers.

    It's been a while, and I still love this video tremendously, thank you so much Jason!
    That simple key you use on the top right has saved me from so much confusion and frustration in all my fiddle practice.
    You rock.

    Hey Fiddlehed, the website listed above is a broken link. Thanks for posting this video to help those learning to play. :)

      This is an old video. I leave these out there because so many people find them useful. There are hundreds of them and I no longer support them because I've moved to a new site fiddlehed.com. Some of the comments fields have been adjusted but I have not been able to get to all of them because there are so many. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    what is the role of the left hand and these white tapes on the neck of violin

    • @fiddl3hed
      @fiddl3hed  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tape is to help with finger placement. It is much better NOT to do this. They can become a crutch. Let your ears tell you if your finger is positioned correctly. Some teachers do use them. Some students want them but it is better not to use them. Develop your ears. If the violin is a little out of tune, the tape is a problem.

      @@fiddl3hed Thanks, I will look at your blog. Im getting back into the violin and find so many things that both amaze and fascinate me. I also found a violinist, red desert violin who has addressed one of my pains, the thumb grip. Im on my second day of her instructions that should me hold effortlessly. In addition, just started my own blog design with wordpress. It's a lot for my brain to deal with. but thanks again.
