Thanks for the reminder. My first year with thornless blackberries and they are growing crazy. I need to do this summer pruning now.

Ours were very “wild” also. They look much more manicured now haha!

This is great. We get wild blackberries here - but still, great info to know ❤. Big hello from Denmark 🇩🇰

Thanks for stopping by the channel! We have a few wild blackberries in my area also. They are very small berries though

I enjoy your channel very much! You are very innovative and your video are filled with very helpful information. I love your "right to the point" approach with your delivery. Its a pleasure to watch. Not sure where you live but your accent reminds me of my cousins from North Carolina where as a kid we vacationed lots of years. My Grandfather had lots of tobacco acreage and we spent lots of fun times inn the tobacco barns. Thanks for sharing your tips with us. Cheers!

Thank you for the compliment and feedback. I really enjoy watching “to the point” YT videos, so that is how I try to deliver mine. I’m actually Eastern NC born and raised! My Papa (grandad) farmed tobacco also so I grew up working and playing in the fields. Lots of hard work but truly great memories from my childhood come from those tobacco fields and other crops we farmed. I will cherish them forever

Tall canes will come down when loaded with berries, so not a reach issue during harvest.

To the point! Started to ask if you are Mr. Tough Guy or growing thornless blackberries, but now I don't see any thorns. Have you watered this year in NC? I inherited thorny berries when I bought the place, but the patch is not convenient to water. Lost most of them. Probably should replace with thornless. The hard way I found thorny canes are not good for mower tires!

Oh no, I’m definitely not a tough guy when it comes to those thorns! Give me the thornless anyway!! Yes, I was watering all the way up until mid July. We then started getting plenty of rain but are getting a bit dry again now. I water mine with a soaker hose. It has actually worked for 2 years now without clogging up. Most of the soaker hoses I have tried just don’t last.
