It seems pretty crazy to me how many people say that he's not athletic or whatever. Some of the moves he makes requires such monstrous arm strength to pull off. In some of these clips, he does long range passes at angles that mean he can only really use his elbow and wrist to make the pass. He's clearly strong as hell. What I think has worked in the favor of Jokic and a lot of other international players is that the international rules for basketball often allow for more defense than the NBA does. They developed as players in an environment where scoring, particularly in the paint where you'll naturally face stonger defense, is harder. I think that's what has caused a lot of the shift towards outside play. Even thogh the NBA hasn't really made it harder to score in the paint, there are all these players who were forced to develop the outside game into a reliable and effective scoring strategy to the point where, even when you bring it to the NBA where inside play can be more effective, it's still more efficient to play outside just because that's now so well honed.

1st time watching this video and the dude in the white shirts reaction over the course of the video perfectly describe Jokic and how great he is....Jokic game isnt fancy isnt eye popping not something to wake you up right away but once you look at his numbers and how efficient he is and add that context his highlights become more entertaining
Statistics say that the most productive move in the last ten years in the NBA is Jokic's post move. Jokic knocks down threes, but that's only one part of his game.
Most of Jokic's impact goes largely unnoticed. It's subtle things like seeing plays before they happen, being in the right place at the right time, taking visually unimpressive high-percentage shots, and passing the ball to the open man. Most of what he does isn't flashy, even though it's good enough to make him the best player on the planet. Jokic is the contemporary Tim Duncan.
@@balsabozovic4510 Jokic isn't a great one on one defender, but he improves his team's defense more than anyone in the NBA. He does this by being in the right place at the right time and calling out the opposing team's plays so his teammates can defend better. Also, the Nuggets have found a way to use Jokic to make him more effective at one on one defense. Instead of having him defend in the restricted area - something he's terrible at - they use him to defend the area between the restricted area and the three point line. The Nuggets are better than any other team at having their players do what they're good at and making it difficult for opposing teams to exploit their weaknesses. It's a big.reason they won the championship.
@@PlanetOfTheApes999let’s not get crazy now. He definitely doesn’t improve his teams defense more than anyone ever n the league. There’s far more impactful defenders
@@TheIcemanthomas I'm just going by the advanced statistics. He has the best defensive plus/minus box in the league, so he's doing *something* incredible. Maybe it's just his leadership, how he inspires his teammates, but the stats don't lie.
And it seems he couldn't care less. He now has my favorite post championship interview of all time also. They're right there is no one to one comparison to him, he has Magic's vision and passing, he has Larry's shooting ability and clutch gene, he has Hakeem's defensive anticipation, and unflappable demeanor, and Isiah's handles. Dude is who you would end up with if you were designing a player in a video game. When he's done you will probably have to put him in the GOAT debate.
One thing I have learned from Recently watching some of the Joker's videos is he doesn't seem to care about the numbers or the Fame he just wants to get back to Serbia and his horses❤❤❤❤
He plays a bit like Larry Legend...making the seemingly impossible possible, with a slow is smooth - smooth is fast, persistent pace of play that wears out the opposition.
He may not have the most consistent defensive skills but his D when it counts is unmatchable. Reminds me of Djokovic a bit in that Nole will have a lot of unforced errors down the line but very little to none when the chips are down.
Man, Taco Bell should bring back the Quesarito in honor of Joker and rename it the Jokicarito! A couple of those, a six pack of ice cold Coors and an Nuggets game on TNT would be about perfect evening.
Why would anyone who plays with Nikola move to another team? Murray, Gordon, and Porter are very good players who become great players with the Joker. Journeymen like KCP are elevated to another level. The Nuggets passing reminds me of the 80's Celtics and the early 70's Knicks. I had lost interest in the NBA because the game had turned into isolation, dribble dribble, and superb shooting. Magic and Bird saved the NBA after the late 70's GS Warriors run. Nikola is saving it now.
Lazy narrative about Nash. Shaq wasn’t even in the top 3 for 2005 and wasn’t even getting votes for the 2006 mvp race. Nash came into a 29 win team and was the large part as to why they went 62 wins in 2005. Over a 7 year span between the mavs and suns, he AVERAGED a 50-40-90 on a double double (people argue it’s because he didn’t shoot a lot, but he averaged roughly 15ish points throughout that prime which is on par with most starting level point guards during the 2000’s - to put into perspective, in 2004, peja stojakovic was the second leading scorer in the league but only averaged 24 points per game so the era was not scoring heavy). In those years, his teams were almost always first or second ranked in offense and this also includes the 2006 season where Amare missed essentially the whole season but Nash still led them to a 54 win season which is why he won a second MVP. Oh ok, but he’s a fraud because he doesn’t do it in the playoffs. Nash is arguably one of the unluckiest superstars ever: 2003 - conference finals against spurs, Dirk gets injured 2004 - probably the only really bad Nash playoff 2005 - lost to spurs but beat his old team the Mavs by rattling off a near 40 point triple double the last three games of the semifinals - Joe Johnson breaks his face in the semi finals and misses half of the conference finals 2006 - with Boris Diaw playing center, they come back from 3-1 against Kobe, make the WCF but have to go up against a juggernaut Dallas team without Amare 2007 - lost to spurs in semifinals due to Amare and Diaw getting suspended after Robert Horry slams Nash, spurs would cruise to the finals and sweep the Cavs 2010 - suns retool after two down seasons and nearly beat the championship lakers but lose due to Metta world peace putback on incredible defense against Kobe. Nash gets slandered all the time specifically because he “stole” MVPs, but with context he was one of the best players of those years and was a great candidate for those awards. When Nash had good teams, they really only lost because of injuries, interesting officiating/suspensions, and matching up against the best teams in the league aka spurs, mavs, and lakers.
27:50.... 'he only missed four shots'... you know the REALLY scary thing... he got fouled and went to the free-throw line on ALL of them. So.... yeah... offensive efficiency, in the damn FINALS of 100% while posting a triple-double... just... WTF man!!??
He reminds me of Larry Bird mixed with some White Chocolate with a bit of Kevin McHale. * this dude understands everything about basketball. I’ve been out of the loop on this generation of players in all sports.
US sports media is unfair towards foreigners until they reach an undeniable level. With Giannis, Luka and Joker the 3 of the most impactful players in the NBA right now are from Europe. Embiid ain't american either. Joker might end up with the craziest stats in modern NBA history. And he's gonna win the league again, even with bums like Aaron Gordon next to him.
25:10 "....although it was competitive..." The Nuggets SWEPT the Lakers. That is the very definition of NOT competitive. Were the games relatively close scores at the end? Yeah all single digits, but FOUR STRAIGHT against the team that had the best record over the last 20 games of the season and has two HoF players (Including one you can legitimately argue is the G.o.A.T?) means it really wasn't very competitive.
I've always enjoyed watching reaction videos, but I think the fat and flabby comment was uncalled for. That man is obviously tall, but fit. The video of him dancing, is not the most flattering angle. Anyway! Despite that remark, it's good to see others appreciate the greatness that we are witnessing. Casual Basketball fans bash him, because he isn't fast or flashy but you don't have to be those things to impact the game. He dominates, but in a different way. They say he's boring to watch. 🤷♀️ Personally, I admire his basketball IQ most of all but his passes and over-the-head 3 point shots are a blast to watch! As Charles Barkley says, let's appreciate his greatness, because it's not very often that we get to witness someone who will become one of the all-time greats.
The nba becomes what it is now, is not because of European players or style. It is purely because of the rule changes. Numerous European players, including pozingus and Luka had said that defensive 3 secs rules and lax traveling calls made the offense too much easier for modern players. The nba literally evolved into this because of it. If they cancel defensive 3 sec rule, I guarantee the MJ Kobe style will come back. Think about it. They have so many more shooting bigs in Europe, And the 3 point line is closer, but the game still don’t play like it is in nba. Blame the game, not the players.
Get up family let’s get to it ✊🏽

Jokic e miglior giocatore al mondo ! MVP X 2 (3) . NIKOLA Jokic sarà MVP 2024 !!
Nba player on "Allen Iverson" reaction
Basketball was actually invented by a Canadian who later moved to America.
Y’all should watch one of his passing compilations it’s fuckin incredible
One thing I have learned from Recently watching some of the Joker's videos is he doesn't seem to care about the numbers or the Fame he just wants to get back to Serbia and his horses❤❤❤❤
He should've 3-peated MVP but was robbed last season.
Finally.... I needed for people to see this... he's been doing this for 3 years now.... dude is a slow 2k char.... dining inside out threat
He plays a bit like Larry Legend...making the seemingly impossible possible, with a slow is smooth - smooth is fast, persistent pace of play that wears out the opposition.
lets get it
He may not have the most consistent defensive skills but his D when it counts is unmatchable. Reminds me of Djokovic a bit in that Nole will have a lot of unforced errors down the line but very little to none when the chips are down.
Manu from Argentina like Messi broooos❤❤
Man, Taco Bell should bring back the Quesarito in honor of Joker and rename it the Jokicarito! A couple of those, a six pack of ice cold Coors and an Nuggets game on TNT would be about perfect evening.
he got his back-to-back-to-back in the finals instead 👑
Thanks for doing a video on Joker and the Nuggs.
Nikola is saving it now.
we are LUCKY to have Joker in town...💪💪💪💪💪💪
and Nick Wright is a complete 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
This is the best basketball player you have ever seen and you no it
the real MVP, NJ15 !!!
Basketball is Serbian game... With few millions of people we rule the world in basketball. Imagine if we are big like you
Jokic could go down somewhere in the top 5 ALLTIME when it's all said and done.
Jokic also leads in paint points while shooting like that
Lazy narrative about Nash.
Nash is arguably one of the unluckiest superstars ever:
2003 - conference finals against spurs, Dirk gets injured
2004 - probably the only really bad Nash playoff
2005 - lost to spurs but beat his old team the Mavs by rattling off a near 40 point triple double the last three games of the semifinals - Joe Johnson breaks his face in the semi finals and misses half of the conference finals
2006 - with Boris Diaw playing center, they come back from 3-1 against Kobe, make the WCF but have to go up against a juggernaut Dallas team without Amare
2007 - lost to spurs in semifinals due to Amare and Diaw getting suspended after Robert Horry slams Nash, spurs would cruise to the finals and sweep the Cavs
2010 - suns retool after two down seasons and nearly beat the championship lakers but lose due to Metta world peace putback on incredible defense against Kobe.
Just learning about this dude? Casuals.
Sorry man but jokic taking over basketball now
19:13 Feel mooky didn’t know that he won it back to back 😂😂😂
tyson fury bored film please
Nick Wright has Bron Kneepads
27:50.... 'he only missed four shots'... you know the REALLY scary thing... he got fouled and went to the free-throw line on ALL of them. So.... yeah... offensive efficiency, in the damn FINALS of 100% while posting a triple-double... just... WTF man!!??
You are good.👏👏👏
It's worth reacting to just his passing vids.
Some things about him remind me of Larry Bird😊😊
He reminds me of Larry Bird mixed with some White Chocolate with a bit of Kevin McHale.
* this dude understands everything about basketball. I’ve been out of the loop on this generation of players in all sports.
Its not the league that decides mvp its voted on by media and they are the ones that couldn't give Joker his 3rd
honestly if they ask other center to BE like jokic that is huge ask
Jokic is a problem. What he did to the Lakers and AD terrifies me. Made them look like babies
New player, a point center
US sports media is unfair towards foreigners until they reach an undeniable level. With Giannis, Luka and Joker the 3 of the most impactful players in the NBA right now are from Europe. Embiid ain't american either. Joker might end up with the craziest stats in modern NBA history. And he's gonna win the league again, even with bums like Aaron Gordon next to him.
If you combined Jokic and Luka you'd have Larry Bird.
There a few players that won mvp 3 years in a row
25:10 "....although it was competitive..." The Nuggets SWEPT the Lakers. That is the very definition of NOT competitive. Were the games relatively close scores at the end? Yeah all single digits, but FOUR STRAIGHT against the team that had the best record over the last 20 games of the season and has two HoF players (Including one you can legitimately argue is the G.o.A.T?) means it really wasn't very competitive.
Do giannis 😊
Basketball American game ? come on guys ...
Also, as a general rule if you are a big, don't try to dribble unless your name is Jokic.
Did y'all ever live in the UK? Swear I can't hear a tiny british accent 😂
That man is more like bird than dirk but you can see dirks little one legged shit that he uses for sure
Facts appreciate the comment
tf is that intro lmaoooo
The nba becomes what it is now, is not because of European players or style. It is purely because of the rule changes.
Numerous European players, including pozingus and Luka had said that defensive 3 secs rules and lax traveling calls made the offense too much easier for modern players. The nba literally evolved into this because of it.
If they cancel defensive 3 sec rule, I guarantee the MJ Kobe style will come back.
Think about it. They have so many more shooting bigs in Europe, And the 3 point line is closer, but the game still don’t play like it is in nba. Blame the game, not the players.
