      Wow the same old horsey beat 1 measure long and a ton of work just for a 1bar loop? Man forget doin breakbeats I’m not knocking the circuit it’s just so much work for so little music 1 bar here 1 bar there and a super steep learning curve on top of that unless your willing to devote your life to circute be my guest. And Enrique slow down a bit you have a good thing going like you mentioned you going to duplicate the patterns don’t you have to be in pattern mode to do that?

    Easy way to sample flip, for sure. Maybe add "sample flip shortcut" to your video title. This opens up a lot of doors, thanks Enrique!

    hello Ricky ,question...is this suppose to work on 1.8 version too ? cause it's not working for me ... i press play and record and when i press on the sounds can;t even hear them :) thank you, keep up the great work !

    • @vuilgatmusic7333
      @vuilgatmusic7333 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hibit Sounds if you are talking about Synth1&2 it won’t work that way. Only the drums can be recorded in the sample selection page.

    How you did to hear the samples when you are in the selection mode (Shift+instrument)? I hear nothing and I have to write some beat to hear what sound I am selecting.

  • @EROKBEATZ
    @EROKBEATZ 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome tip! I notice the samples cut each other off in the same drum patch. Is there a way around this? Thank you

    • @RickyTinez
      @RickyTinez  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man, thanks for enjoying the video! Each drum part is made up of a single voice so it will naturally choke another sample on the same track. The only way to sort of "fake" it would be to apply some reverb so the tail of the reverb goes ontop of the next played sample. But even then it doesn't achieve what you're trying to do :(

    Ricky I can't find the older set up video with the Cir, Octa, Bass synth , and 1 other....prior t your gig like 2 years ago. Do you have a link to that one please?

    Is there a way to duplicate Drum/Sample patterns between sessions? :)

    • @RickyTinez
      @RickyTinez  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not that i know of yet. I know you can duplicate almost everything WITHIN a session but between not so much. Sometimes I would just make a song, save it, then save it again on a new spot to save the drums and delete the synth parts afterward.

  • @ashleywolfrum5520
    @ashleywolfrum5520 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    When I go to shift-drum1 my drum samples don’t play a noise when pressed. They also won’t record into drum 1 when pressed as you showed here. Am I missing something?

    • @RickyTinez
      @RickyTinez  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ashley, try going onto the Novation Circuit Components page and updating your firmware. I think you may be on an older one where these features weren’t available! Let me know if you need some more help

    Hi guys ,I’m new to circuit my question is Why every time I go through to this process to create my own beat and when I press play I go directly to some sample beat ??

    • @RickyTinez
      @RickyTinez  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Rodne, are you selecting a blank session to start off with?
      Press "Sessions"
      select a DIM pad (not the bright ones across the top 2 rows)
