    Best tutorial I’ve see available for the Novation Circuit. Straight to the point, click for click, drop dead easy to follow. No rambling or distracting nonsense, strictly learning! I hope this is only the beginning of many Circuit tutorials to come.

    This is how a tutorial should be done. People tend to talk to much on you tube,they side track and confuse the viewers and the talk so fast as if you tube is costing them 5 Dollars a second . I am so thankful for this video step by step no bla bla . I hope others take this as a good example of how to teach .
    ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. Gabe I hope you watched this. 5 Star Video.

      Thanks. Let me say this in all modesty: I really put quite a lot of effort into concepting my tutorials. I do not just switch on my camera and start bla-bla-ing, like many other tutors do. Also, other than those guys, I actually learned how to teach things to people.

    I watched a lot of Circuit tutorial videos but this is best tutorial I’ve seen. You didn’t skip any steps nor assume the viewer knew how to use a synth. I’m 1 year late, but I hope there was a volume 2!

    Still the »most bestest« tutorial on the Novation Circuit OG across our entire planet. And definitely a lightning-fast way to get people going! 👍 I only turned towards my freshly acquired venerable Circuit OG right after having watched your video, but I was still able to do most of the stuff you showed. Best proof of your excellent teaching skills by a synth apprentice in his mid-50e. Duplicate-ing and Clear-ing like a boss while juggling with Session-s, Pattern-s and my notes' Velocity-s, Gate-s and the Scale-s. Thank you so much 🤝 Subscribed spontaneously 😊

      Thank you so much, Manfred, but you know what the heck, let's talk deutsch.

      Well, in that case, your wish is my command! In fact, I planned a part 2 for a long time now, but wasn't really sure in which direction to go. So, coming up next (or rather, soon, because I still have other projects in the pipeline), it's "How to do a song on the NC". Until then, please enjoy these two songs I did, that are mainly carried by the NC: The Model by Kraftwek th-cam.com/video/XiuwZDRoOUQ/w-d-xo.html and Duran's The Chauffeur th-cam.com/video/KT9hLh7O188/w-d-xo.html

    Thank you for the excellent video! I've viewed dozens of Circuit videos but for newbies such as myself (a 70 year old relic) it's a bit overwhelming figuring out the basics of this machine but your video has helped greatly!

      Thanks, Kristov, but I just don't find the time to do it. I'm still a one-man-show, doing my videos in the scarce free time I have. That's why I set up a Patreon site: the more supporters I have on there, the more free time I'd have to do videos. And no, I'm not e-begging here. Well, actually I am. But that does not change the simple fact that I could spend more time on doing videos, when I could cut my office-hours, IF there were more donations on www.patreon.com/synthesaurus

      Thank you! As soon as I find the time, I will continue. See, the thing is: I don't have much time to do this synth stuff because I have to do a dayjob to pay the rent. The more people support me on my Patreon page, the less I have to worry about the rent, and the more tutorials I could do. So feel free to support that on www.patreon.com/synthesaurus

    Thank you for this. I am getting the Circuit Tracks tomorrow and, while this is for the original Circuit, I still feel like it'll be helpful since I am a complete newbie with zero experience. Most of the other channels I've watched with Circuit videos were a bit of information overload, but this is really well laid out.

    • @SynthesaurusRex
      @SynthesaurusRex  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you, Zag! You did the right thing: getting a Tracks. From what I can see, it's quite similar to the Circuit, so as soon as you understand the general principle of one, you should be having no trouble understanding the other. So, have fun with your Tracks, and stay tuned, because one of my upcoming videos will be about Scales & Modes - explained for absolute beginners! 😀

    Why I can’t save the session? The “save” button has no brightness.

    • @SynthesaurusRex
      @SynthesaurusRex  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to tap the SAVE buttons twice very quickly. It will blink for confirmation.

    • @garyhutchins4481
      @garyhutchins4481 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that straight out-of-the-box the Save function is disabled (presumably to stop people from blatting over the factory sessions before they know what they're doing) so the Save button is not lit.
      To enable the Save functionality simply hold down both the Shift and the Save buttons as you switch your Circuit on.
      The save button should now be dimly lit in blue :)
