I want to use such a device with a plastic corner-cube reflector plate, which reflects THOUSANDS as much back in the direction of the emitter than a white paper-like surface. (See Lambertian reflector.) I want to measure 500, 1000, 2000 meters, with a resolution of 1 millimeter . Problem is, I don't think the device will 'wait for' such a delayed reflection, even when it arrives with plenty of intensity. And, of course, the display also doesnt have sufficient digits to display this. Perhaps these manufacturers don't want to compete with professional distance measuring equipment? N
Don't buy Bosch, it's shows dimensions to 1/32. Quick what's 17/32? No Bosh, just No. I've been writing them for years asking them to make 1/16 their minimal fraction. just because you can doesn't mean you should, besides, it's only accurate to 1/16th.
Maybe thats a new thing, but I've had a bosch for 15 years. Set for inches, i get 16. But getting something new soon. I do construction, tape is used more, laser is super helpful in certain situations/areas of the job
Hhhmm - basic Mathematics: Accuracy of measurement is HALF of the UNIT used. QUOTE: "it's only accurate to 1/16th...." is nonsense. Basic Junior Secondary Mathematics teaches that. Besides, if designing small instruments / circuit boards / whatever, then 1/16th is a massive error (in measurement). No wonder Bosch has not responded to your advice. They know their business.
I think you can change that default in the Bosch to 1/16. a long press on some menu. why is this not the default? if they want more, throw me a +/- , dont change to 1/32

What is the app 3:27 I need wall thickness but not find bosch measureon app.
It was nice seeing the 2 measuring devices I had in mind, make it to the top of your list and this video was very helpful. Thanks.
Thank you very much
They have never used or tested those products. They just put down affiliate links for the top handful of products on amazon. This is an ad.
Does it let you save the photos the way that the Bosch Blaze does?
Thanks for the video! I am interested in the bilateral tools. What do you think of the MiLESEEY bilateral? Verses the Magpie VH-80? Thanks!
Thanks for your feedback. MiLESEEY has P2P function with point finger camera which gives it an edge over VH-80.
How to measure curve bulidings
2- 90deg. Lines, markers along every 12”, measuring distance to the object, use a simplest software to input a data, get results.
Nice products.
IP rating means Ingress protection rating not international protection ration

Or use millimetres?
