Your #2 and #1 palettes are my favorites too! The #2 palette is my everyday go to work palette. I dress it up by adding a pop of color to the base colors. The #1 palette is my FAV! It's just such beautiful and versatile colors! You can dress it down or super amp it up.

I love these ranking videos! So helpful! A tip for showing duochrome shades to us: if you hold a mirror up to them, the duochrome/flip/trichrome will show up in camera. I could tell in the reflection of the palette what they look like, hope that helps doll!

I don't own any of Pat McGrath's palettes because I'm weary about spending over $100 on an eyeshadow palette. I'm an avid makeup collector. I own over 80 palettes. Do you really find her formula to be special/amazing enough to pay $125? I'm open to purchasing one if it's really worth it. I've been extremely curious. Lol!! The only Sephora that's near me is a JCP Sephora, and I've never seen Pat McGrath there.
@@laurastanley9314 I don't own a lot of palettes so I don't have dupes for hers anyway. I got it on special when Sephora (Australia) had 25% off the palettes a while back. Would I buy another one? Yes, on special and because I like the pigmentation and blending. With that said I have several Morphe palettes and I do like those as well.

Check o it Mercari or poshmark sometimes you can find new palettes for discounted prices
I have to keep reminding myself: "I am not an influencer!" "I am not a collector!" in order to keep myself from buying all the Pat McGrath. Proud of myself for getting only the blue-green astral quad and skipping Vol. 3 of the ABH Norvina palettes (for now.) I also feel like I'm the only black person who absolutely loves Auntie Pat's cool-toned Subliminal more than most of the Motherships - I use that one the most.
From what I can see you can wear cooler colors. The Subliminal(which I do NOT own) has MORE tones that are complementary to those cooler undertones or at least NOT red undertones. I think a lot of cosmetic/fashion/decor companies tend to put African Americans into this kind of WARM box, esthetically speaking. NOT everyone FITS, or even WANTS to fit. You’re an INDIVIDUAL and should FEEL GOOD wearing what makes YOU feel BEAUTIFUL.
La vie en rose is one of my favourite palettes in my collection, it's so special. And that gold is so rich and just gorgeous 💛 I even have a tutorial with this, it's so good. I love that video, I can tell your love for makeup!
i love the fact that you were dipping your fingers into the eyeshadow and rubbing them in, while for me i dont even wanna swatch mine palette as to not ruin them hahaha
Good Morning Mel 🌞! I’m having all the feels this morning with this video! I’m such a HUGE FAN of Pat McGrath and have most of her palettes! I’m only missing Decadence. I’ll never make that mistake when it comes to her limited editions! I understand how some might be disappointed with Midnight Sun. However, I feel that this palette is the best one to get for anyone who is not as daring with colors. One really can create daily wear looks with this one, vs her other Mothership Palettes that are so much more opulent! But, for me McGrath has been a game changer when it comes to what I will purchase and add to my eyeshadow collections! So far nothing else comes close to her textures and shines! Drench my body in those Astral shadows! They are yummy shiny wet delicious without having to work so hard to get such an effect! How does she do it?!!! Insane! I LOVE LOVE LOVE HER! I don’t know how I’d be able to rank these?! I love them all for many different reasons! Thanks for putting up your ranking! It’s fun to see and hear your thoughts! I always enjoy your videos! La vie en rose actually makes a really nice subdued smokey eye when you skip the in-your-face-pink and gold and use purple reign as soft smoked out liner! That shimmer duochrome pink is absolutely gorgeous as inner corner highlight.

I got the two minis. They are the first I’ve tried and I really like them. I do wish they had mattes so I can try the formula. The pans are very small but you do not need a lot. Based on these I will look to try more! Love you Mel! 😘
At first when I was trying to decide on a Pat McGrath palette I thought I would pick Bronze Seduction because I love those tones so much. But, when it first came out, someone I watch on you tube swatched it next to the Jackie Aina ABH palette and the swatches were nearly identical. I already have Jackie’s palette so I didn’t want to spend 125 on a dupe of something I already have so I decided to go with Subversive instead. It’s unlike anything I already have and it has many shades I know that I will wear. I ordered since there is a sale on the Pat McGrath site right now. I can’t wait to get it!

Hey Beauty!! This was a great video, I whole heartedly agree with your #1 pick. I just started getting into PML and there is definite magic in her makeup. I have a job where I have to wear 'subdued' makeup so I mix Natasha Denona and Pat McGrath shadows. That way I can have a more wearable look while still feeling opulent!! I call it my 'Natasha McGrath' or 'Pat Denona' baby.

Are you sure they won’t be eventually coming to Sephora? They are just selling Mothership 6 nearly a month after it launched in the States. I am hoping we will get the quads too (sigh) ...eventually!

She is your bae. 👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿 When I first got Mothership V I could not stop wearing the green glitter shade, it is one of my favorite shades I own. I agree with your top 3, with Mothership l in the top spot, and V and lll tied for 2. Great vid!!! Your passion and expertise is infectious.
The little plastic minis were my gateway into Pat McGrath. I don't think I'll ever own a full Mothership, but I now have two of the smaller ones as well as both of the tiny ones and I adore them so much. I'm glad I took the plunge (although my wallet might not thank me so much, the eyeshadow brings me so much joy).

Hey Mel, I also am a Pat junkie. I own all the palettes and I can't even begin to try to put them in a favorite order. I will say that the sublime bronze temptation is my favorite of the smaller palettes. Corruption is magical. I may have a back up of this palette.....

Hey Mel!!! Ok so I have all of the big palettes with the exception of the Decadence palette which I am patiently waiting for it's return. As for the little palettes I don't own the two $28 dollar or the last 2 new quads but I will be getting the colorful quad for sure....love the colors. Lastly I love the bronze ambition palette as well it's just gorgeous and I love Mother Pat's lip glosses...the applicator and the texture is amazing! The two mini palettes I have is the Dark Star & the Bronze Ambition. The Dark Starnis is pretty but that’s why I asked you your opinion on how to make those deep cool great tones work for me and I do try using my blush or a shade like it and it helped, so thank you! I have the large blue grey palette (your #2), forgot the name & the Bronze Seduction IV palette, which is my fave. I love Pat Mcgrath so much! Well I just purchased my very first PML pallette during her Spring sale today being Goldem Opulence !! Pink being my all time fav shade...Im sure its the dark hot pink in one of the PML palettes, now that I have seen it on your eyes I MUST BUY !!!!
The first palettes u showed that you haven’t tried, they’re so nice and I have the gold n bronze one not the colourful one but I’d love to have both. I love the one I got it had a beautiful duo crome in a burgundy shade that shifts to a bronze colour. So pretty!
Welp!. I feel so validated right now. My top three PM palettes are the Subliminal, the Subversive and Bronze Seduction. I love the Bronze Seduction much more than any other palette I own and bought three because I keep thinking she'll discontinue it without notice. I love the way you swatch those shadows too, caught my breath and it gave me goose bumps every time.

I only have one of her palettes so far but it is your #1 large. I chose well! I did see the new quads in Sephora this weekend and had to be drug away. Really wanted the red one. I love her quality, I’m just not brave to sport much inyaface color at my age so as beautiful as I find them all, I know I’ll barely touch them, and if I’m gonna blow $ on things just to have, I’m going for the high end brushes. Are you sure they won’t be eventually coming to Sephora? They are just selling Mothership 6 nearly a month after it launched in the States. I am hoping we will get the quads too (sigh) ...eventually!

When I first got Mothership V I could not stop wearing the green glitter shade, it is one of my favorite shades I own. I agree with your top 3, with Mothership l in the top spot, and V and lll tied for 2. Great vid!!! Your passion and expertise is infectious.

The little plastic minis were my gateway into Pat McGrath. I don't think I'll ever own a full Mothership, but I now have two of the smaller ones as well as both of the tiny ones and I adore them so much. I'm glad I took the plunge (although my wallet might not thank me so much, the eyeshadow brings me so much joy).

Hey Mel, I also am a Pat junkie. I own all the palettes and I can't even begin to try to put them in a favorite order. I will say that the sublime bronze temptation is my favorite of the smaller palettes. Corruption is magical. I may have a back up of this palette.....

Hey Mel!!! Ok so I have all of the big palettes with the exception of the Decadence palette which I am patiently waiting for it's return. As for the little palettes I don't own the two $28 dollar or the last 2 new quads but I will be getting the colorful quad for sure....love the colors. Lastly I love the bronze ambition palette as well it's just gorgeous and I love Mother Pat's lip glosses...the applicator and the texture is amazing! I am so pleased that I have your 2 favorite Pat Mcgrath palettes in my collection. They were the first 10 shadow palettes that I purchased. I also have La Vie en Rose and two of her Blitz Astral quads.. I sure hope that she relaunches the Decadence palette. I missed out on the Star Wars launch..

The two mini palettes I have is the Dark Star & the Bronze Ambition. The Dark Starnis is pretty but that’s why I asked you your opinion on how to make those deep cool great tones work for me and I do try using my blush or a shade like it and it helped, so thank you! I have the large blue grey palette (your #2), forgot the name & the Bronze Seduction IV palette, which is my fave. I love Pat Mcgrath so much! I would’ve never tried her palettes had it not been for you 😘😘😘😘💕💕💕💕 BTW your eye look is STUNNING 😍

Well I just purchased my very first PML pallette during her Spring sale today being Goldem Opulence !! Pink being my all time fav shade...Im sure its the dark hot pink in one of the PML palettes, now that I have seen it on your eyes I MUST BUY !!!!
The first palettes u showed that you haven’t tried, they’re so nice and I have the gold n bronze one not the colourful one but I’d love to have both. I love the one I got it had a beautiful duo crome in a burgundy shade that shifts to a bronze colour. So pretty!

Welp!. I feel so validated right now. My top three PM palettes are the Subliminal, the Subversive and Bronze Seduction. I love the Bronze Seduction much more than any other palette I own and bought three because I keep thinking she'll discontinue it without notice. I love the way you swatch those shadows too, caught my breath and it gave me goose bumps every time.

I only have one of her palettes so far but it is your #1 large. I chose well! I did see the new quads in Sephora this weekend and had to be drug away. Really wanted the red one. I love her quality, I’m just not brave to sport much inyaface color at my age so as beautiful as I find them all, I know I’ll barely touch them, and if I’m gonna blow $ on things just to have, I’m going for the high end brushes. I just saw the email that Sonia G is releasing a special brush tomorrow?
