    I think this is your best video so far. This is hiw I envisioned the 'real' Istanbul to be, not like scenes from the European side. I love this. This is where I would like to live❤

    I stayed in Kadiköy for the entire 2 months I was there (summer 2023). It was great - ferries available to both the Princes' Islands, and Eminönü. I did the day tour three times, and the nighttime one once - it was 65 TL (~$2.35 USD) when I was there - such a bargain for a 6 hour tour! Shopping and restaurants in Kadiköy was crazy. Good prices and excellent food everywhere. And when I wanted to see the main 'tourist' attractions I just hopped on the ferry to Karakoy/Eminönü then hopped on the tram (or walked up the hill to Galata tower). I've traveled a bit, and by far Istanbul was my favorite city. Thanks for the very comprehensive and informative video!

    I love Asian side of IST. Most of these places I've already known :) I also recommended Nevmekân Sahil (Library/Cafe) on Uskudar, beautiful modern Marmara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi Örümcek Cami, Camlica Mosque and more .. :)

    Hi. After waching your video about Yoros castle I took the boat and went. It was a wanderful day and tje food was great. At the time to came back I lost the boat and a nice young turkish studant told me to take the boat to Sirkeci and a bus to Beshiktas and from the last boat back to Kadikoy where I am staying.
    Thank you again for your videos.

    I didnt see everything but some things on this video never knew about it all. Perhaps some things like castle and palace were closed as was still covid time 2 years ago. I took bus to ruins of rumeli feneri instead was a raning day but still amazing as deserted. I liked Kuzguncuk it actuslly was my favourite and walked high for view and enjoyed a local bakery. Wondering after prices doubled how affordable it all is. Used to take ferry and buses for next to nothing.

      On Thursday 2 Nov a new law passed on Short term rentals. People who rent out a room now must be licensed by the Government , must have permission from all other apartment owners in the block to rent, must pay fees. Two of my reservations booked with Airbnb cancelled and delisted their properties. There was a article in the Daily Sabah online. Hope this helps

      According to the new legislation, house owners will be required to obtain permits from the Ministry for Culture and Tourism if they want to rent out their home via Airbnb. House owners will also have to pay a tax to the government and a fee to Airbnb.

    Tourist guests who visit Istanbul for tourism purposes generally visit limited places on the European Side. Unfortunately, they are visiting the well-known places around Sultan Ahmet Square and Galata Tower. In fact, the places to see are the Asian side and the islands. The places to see are both more visually beautiful and quieter. There are many beautiful places, especially in Üsküdar, Beykoz, Kadıköy and Adalar districts.
    I would like to thank the friend who prepared this video and introduced the Asian side a little bit.
    Thoughts of those living in Istanbul, especially on the Asian side. There is an opinion that they should use the European side to work and the Anatolian (Asian) side to live and reside :)))

    • @BeryIstanbulTips
      @BeryIstanbulTips  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Claire! Is huuuge! The thing is, the fee is set per person so more likely they’ll bring all together but you can always request to bring for 3 to avoid food waste but they’ll still charge for 5 🙏
      Some metro lines and trams started using that method but not all.

      @@BeryIstanbulTipsThanks for the answers! Yeah I get it for charging for FIVE - I am a foodie but not the reste of the family😢 But they will eat Michelin food (having a French husband isn’t easy for just street food😅) But as we have only 3 full days, we shall return to visit the Asian side another year❤🎉Thanks again for replying - hopefully some main transports like metro from Sabiha airport will take credit cards…

    Oh noo, please take the video down. I don't want tourists to find out about the Asian side. Let them be in Europe lol. The Asian side is million times nicer and I rarely go to the other side.
    Actually, there's so much more to be seen that you were able to show in your video. The Asian side in general is also much more modern, has more beautiful restaurants/Cafés, Parks and in general the atmosphere is much more chill.

    In my humble overview, the suspension Bosphorus River bridge that connects two continents is an overrated landmark of Istanbul. I mean, suspension bridges are everywhere in the world.
    I am not ignoring the view which is accompanied but still... I prefer the Asian side which seems to me to be the authentic soul of the Turkish culture and traditions which I have envisioned through the famous novel by Agatha Christie, the Murder on the Orient Express.
